From Porto Waterfall Lagoon Old Village In Gerês National Park

Mika’s was amazing! So much fun, not too difficult, and BEAUTIFUL! Such a great group, everyone was incredibly friendly!

This trip was really a wonderful expirience with a whole-day tour to Geres nationalpark, hiking in the mountains, swimming in a magical lagoon, eating at a local restaurant. Our guide, Miquel, was very kind and flexible towards different needs and wishes from the participants, taking us to amazing spots and viewpoints, we could not have found ourselves, and telling os interesting information about the area, which was obviously very familiar to him. Thank you very much, we recommend this trip and our guide, Miquel.

The trip was absolutely brilliant. We went around Geres national park with our guide Diogo who was knowledgable, personable and fun! We were worried that it would be too cold in October however we were lucky with the sun and even got to see some wild horses because the national park was less busy. Definitely worth the money

It was an excellent tour. Adrianano was an excellent n fun guide, knew the forest well and took us to the most beautiful sights! I also appreciated how helpful he was. He had us on no schedule n truly let us enjoy for as long as we wanted. Really outstanding trip.

We had an amazing day with Ines. She was a wonderful guide and conversationalist, sharing her passion about the national park and its conservation. We went to some really beautiful places and had the chance to truly unwind and relax. Ines made it so that the whole day felt like spending time with a friend. Thank you, we had a great time!

This experience made my time in Portugal. We had a fantastic day with our guide, Ines, she brought the national park to life through her depth of knowledge on the ecology of the park, and just general love for life which was infectious. The water holes were beautiful, the restaurant served local, homely food and the 4x4 off roading was great. The day looked to be a bit rainy and we were even called the day before to try and work-out alternate routes to make the day as exciting / fun as possible. I think this is a great thing to do if in Porto or anywhere nearby for the day!

I enjoyed this day trip to get out of the city but it was a bit too slow a pace. Not much walking. A long lunch and a lot of time travelling. Guide was great. Scenery was great. We could have had a shorter lunch and stopped at some point along the way. Morning and afternoon beers same place which was also disappointing.

It can be a difficult and steep hike if you are not in shape. Wear good shoes and bring plenty of water. So glad I did it though, very beautiful lagoons and waterfall. Beatriz, our guide was phenomenal!

We had a magical experience with our tour guide Miguel! Swimming in secret swimming holes with no one around and learning about the villages is something we will never forget. Thank you Miguel for giving us such a special day !

Such an incredible experience, magical places for swimming and really appreciated the insight into local agricultural practices and the flora and fauna. The hikes are moderate; if you’re into hiking, it will be reasonable, and if not, bring extra water and request a break if you need. The swimming is very refreshing after the hikes. Our tour guide was excellent with infectious enthusiasm and joy. I feel these outings tend to bring together people with good energies, so you’re likely in for a treat if you decide to partake. Very welcoming for solo travelers.

While the hikes were in great hidden locations that we likely wouldn't have found on our own, and our guide did a fantastic job driving, the tour did not live up to the hype. The tour guide should have given more background information (e.g. what bodies of water we were in, information about the forest, etc), and the tour guide should have surveyed the group to see if a more strenuous hike would have been more appropriate. While the tour of the town was nice, we expected a much more rigorous adventurous hike based on the description and were disappointed that the hike was not more.

Definitely an activity for anyone looking to explore a different side of porto easy to medium level of physical activity throughout the day but in very short stages each time. Our guide Urbano was excellent, always wanting to give us as much insight into the history of the places we were visiting.

The tour was fantastic! We booked the tour as a family of 3 (adults) and it was a very well planned and beautiful day. The information and communication before the tour was clear and we felt very well taken care of.

Absolutely loved this experience. It was so special to go and see these beautiful waterfalls and experience the national park. The small group aspect made it feel great. The actual waterfalls were spectacular. The walks were okay just make sure you have good shoes to walk in.

This trip was one of the most beautiful days on our stay in Porto. Gui was a wonderful guide, all sites we stopped at were gorgeous and the pace was well adjusted to feel like we got so see many things without it feeling stressed. We were especially thankful for the organizer specifically calling out that they can manage dietary restrictions, since it's often a blocker for us to book full day activities that include lunch.

Excellent excursion! There was a variety of activities planned including lunch at the oldest restaurant in town. The hike was split into two parts and each portion was unique.

A full day activity exploring the Geres National Park and villages within. Our guide, Diogo, was excellent - very knowledgeable and passionate about the area, people and traditions. We also had an excellent lunch that catered for our dietary requirements. Diogo was extremely accommodating. If you are keen to learn about the history and culture of this region it is well worth the trip.

This was a wonderful tour of the national park with Pedro Rosário as our guide. Be prepared for a hike over sloped terrain, but you will be rewarded with beautiful views, refreshing swim, and a tasty meal!

Gerês National Park was absolutely beautiful, and our guide, Rita, was amazing! She was incredibly informative, friendly, and made the experience even more enjoyable. We were picked up in a Land Rover that was more like a regular car. Some of the other groups (same company) were in the old-school Land Rover Defenders with bench-style seats facing eachother. Both options were great and added to to adventure vibe of the day. The hiking was moderately difficult, with some steep areas and sections where you need to carefully navigate and moderately scale rocky terrain. I would not recommend this tour for anyone with mobility issues. However, the payoff is absolutely worth it! The incredible waterfall in the morning and the beautiful lagoon in the afternoon were the highlights of the day. The water was very chilly and brisk, but swimming in the peaceful, beautiful surroundings was such a memorable experience. The scenery throughout the park was breathtaking. We also stopped at a local village for lunch of traditional food, which was such a charming part of the experience. We had the opportunity to walk around, see the village, and talk with some of the locals. It gave us a wonderful glimpse into the local culture and made the day feel even more special. A beautiful experience, an amazing guide, and a day I would highly recommend!

This was a fantastic day trip exploring Geres. The pick up and drop off was seamless and made it really easy for us. Rafael was a fantastic guide, sharing lots of stories and interesting information about Porto, Portugal and the national park. We were fortunate to have lovely weather and got to do two amazing hikes to a beautiful lake and waterfall for a swim stop. The hikes were of moderate difficulty, with some steep sections, so I would suggest this is not for beginners or people with mobility difficulties. We enjoyed a lovely traditional lunch.

Despite the gloomy weather, we had a fantastic day: beautiful nature, a very lovely village and countryside, a great 4x4 ride, a nice walk, very nice waterfalls, and a super nice guide.

We had the best time on this hiking trip! Ricardo was so open and knowledgeable, making everyone feel seen and part of the group. The trail itself struck a perfect balance, challenging enough to feel like an achievement, but relaxing too. He also made sure the children in our group were well looked after throughout. Cannot recommend enough - Ricardo was an absolute superstar!

The walks aren't too long but deffo a bit tricky as per the over reviews. Our guide was amazing and happy to help whenever she could. Only took a star off as the transport isn't that comfortable and not that equipped for families.

Great day out in the national park, a truly beautiful stunning area. We swam in natural pools and had a fabulous lunch in the mountains. Our guide Ricardo took us to quiet locations away from crowds. An excellent guide and very interesting to talk to. Highly recommended.

Such a great trip, loved the Land Rover , beautiful drive, fabulous swimming spots, and lunch. Hikes easy for most, a little challenging for mum. Our guide Guilherme was a superstar. Had so much local knowledge, really fun guy and help me masses - highly recommend!

We had a great trip. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Our guide Ricardo was brilliant, super friendly local guy who made a big effort to make sure we had a great day out. He was excellent at sharing the history with us, explaining how the local communities in the villages live and telling us about points of interest during the trip. The national park is beautiful, swimming in the waterfall pools is lovely. The short trails down to the waterfalls were a bit steep but not too bad. Ricardo made sure we were watching our step and guided us down in a safe manner. The lunch was delicious. Well worth taking the trip outside the city to visit this wonderful place! We loved our tour of the park, and it was the perfect adventure to have with a child. We loved swimming at the waterfalls, visiting the village, and learning the history of the area. Our guide, Diogo, was very knowledgeable, and ensured we had a great tour.

We had a wonderful day exploring the national park and a local village. The swimming was refreshing on a hot day. Our guide Ricardo was a fantastic host, very nice to spend the day with. The only negative is that the vehicle was a bit uncomfortable for those seated in the very back.

We thoroughly enjoyed this national park, waterfall, and hiking tour! Our guide Gui was outstanding — he provided so much interesting information throughout the day and made the entire experience safe, comfortable, educational, and fun. We especially loved the secret waterfalls where we had the place completely to ourselves, and the lunch was excellent. Highly recommend!

This is an incredible experience. We were in Portugal for a week and this was the highlight. Our guide Diogo was fantastic. He was so knowledgeable and nice and took us to some unforgettable spots. This is the best way to experience Portugal’s beauty outside of the cities.

This definitely was a highlight on our vacation. The locations Ricardo picked were so beautiful and a perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. Ricardo, the guide, was super helpful and nice and provided us with a lot of interesting facts about the area, its wildlife and culture along the way. The small group of 9 people including Ricardo was a great size to get to know each other and share the experience with. The vegan options made us go with this trip and they didn’t disappoint. This was an amazing tour. The hikes, the waterfalls, the swimming were all such fun but what made it truly special was our guide, Ricardo. He was the most wonderful guide. His stories about the history of the area were great. His enthusiasm was contagious. He was such a kind soul. Oh and the lunch, also amazing!

If you like nature this trip was fantastic. Getting to see a different side to Portugal was wonderful and also learning lots about the places and the people who live in the national park was really interesting. Our guides Renate and Miguel were very friendly and passionate people who made the trip even better. I would highly recommend this adventure.

I had a realllly incredible experience, this was definitely one of the highlights of my stay at Porto. We did a ~2hr drive over to Geres and hit the day running small off-roading adventure and short hike to an incredible waterfall and pool. After taking in the views we had a great lunch at a local restaurant in Fafioa (the Wolf Village) where our guide told us about some history/ folklore in the Village and showed us around. We ended the day with one more extraordinary waterfall and view and came back to Porto safely. Our guide, Miguel Ribeiro, was exceptional! He listened intently to what we were interested in doing, kept us all very safe, but was still very fun. I'm very happy I got to do this and it is something I would do again!
