The owner of the establishment was quite friendly and the performers were very talented.

Amazing Fado, amazing experience, just a shame not many people filled the venue and the bar person wasn’t on to get more drinks.

Loved it! Wonderful singers and musicians who express the painful and joyful history of the country. The Portuguese guitar was beautiful. Did not understand many of the words, but the music speaks for itself, and you can get the gist of the songs if you understand Spanish or Italian. Enjoyed the included wine (I chose to try the vinho verde) as well!

Not attending a Fado concert while in Porto is like not seeing flamenco when in Spain! This concert was a wonderful way to spend an evening. The performance by the guitar players and singers was beautiful and soulful. The setting is perfect and intimate. The staff accommodated 2 patrons who could not climb down a flight of stairs to the concert room by having the performers play 2 songs on the upper level. Nice touch! In case you have mobility issues, note that there are steep stairs to the concert room. Great price for this event. I only wish the performance was just a bit longer. I didn’t want the music to end.

The musicians and singers were spectacular! So much passion, and feelings it didn’t matter we couldn’t understand the words. You felt them! Highly recommend!

lovely experience - highly recommend. underground vault setting with candles really adds to the atmosphere. The singing and guitar playing was excellent. I also appreciated the little introduction to fado right at the beginning. You are offered a glass of different ports or wine included in the price, which was very reasonable. I recommend also for a woman alone, such as I was. The area is central and the address not difficult to find.

This was a lovely and intimate experience in a great location. Loved the performance and could do it again.

Lovely venue. Great staff. Good selection of wines. Intricate guitar work with 2 musicians. Male and female vocalists sang with passion and expression. Involved audience in some of their songs. The acoustic guitarist was exceptional with his his playing. A very intimate audience and we were all close to the stage, Great introduction to Fado.

We had a really enjoyable experience at Clube Real Do Fado. The venue is easy to find and provides a great atmosphere. The welcome drink was lovely regional wine and the musicians were excellent. There were two guitarists and two singers who provided a range of musical pieces and songs. All in all, a great introduction to this traditional form of music.

A very intimate setting in an old stone subterranean room. If you want authentic Fado delivered by great musicians and singers, this is it. And unlike garden variety Fado "shows" this was delivered by true artists steeped in the lore and history of this music. All of which was shared in-between the music in three languages (Portuguese, French and flowless English). Also, there was not only the typical female singer (very good) but also a male singer. Two enthusiastic thumbs up. When in Porto, go see this performance!

This was a really unique experience. So much of tradition and portuguese culture in just one night. Powerful voices backed by the mastery of two passionate guitar players. You could wish nothing else for a last night in Oporto!

What a wonderful bit of Portuguese culture. I booked the Fado concert as part of a weekend birthday break with my wife. We had a choice of ports and wine to choose from on arrival included in our very reasonably priced ticket. We were shown to a relaxing waiting area for a few minutes before being shown downstairs to the cellar room for the concert. The surroundings were very intimate but classy, with space for a maximum ~40/50 people I would guess although there were only about 15 in our group. The concert was an hour with a very short 5 minute interval. It started with a short instrumental, followed by the guitarists being joined by a male singer, and then a female singer for the second half. All of the musicians were incredibly talented, the male vocalist in particular had a spectacularly powerful and rich voice that instantly filled the room. In-between songs one of the guitarists explained the origins and meaning of the songs - impressively in 4 languages (Portuguese, Spanish, English and French) to cater for the audience. The host introduced the musicians and unsurprisingly asked for silence throughout the performances. It was a shame that a small group of french women behind us decided this didn't apply to them (despite being told in 4 languages including their own) and we're whispering to each other in several of the pieces of music. Given the acoustic performance and especially the fact there were such a small number of us, this was unbelievably rude and disrespectful. Nevertheless, we thoroughly enjoyed the performances which were soulful and moving. Highly recommend!

This was just the best! Such an authentic atmosphere. The musicians were so talented and the singers powerful, heartfelt and also fun. Even a little Fado history. A must in Porto!

We saw the 6:00 pm Fado show two weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. There was a male vocalist and and a female vocalist who rotated and sang along with music played by 3 amazing guitarists. The venue is a small and cozy with small tables/ chairs and a few couches resulting in a lounge like vibe. We received a glass of Port wine with our ticket, and it was decent quality. The concert is only an hour long, but it was an enjoyable hour representing the soul of Fado music. I was not driven to tears as Fado can sometimes do, but I felt that the performance was very good. The 6:00 pm show is also a nice way to start the night prior to going out to dinner and it is also a great way to experience Fado music if you do not want to have a pre-set menu in a more traditional Fado resturant. There is no audience engagement, explanation of the songs ( which were sung in Portuguese), or discussion about what Fado music is. If you are seeking that type of first time Fado experience, the I would suggest choosing another Fado venue. For me, it was an enjoyable performance for both tourists and Portuguese alike.

An intimate setting with brilliant acoustics. Staff were lovely and accommodating. The singers and musicians were expecting and it was a very interested hour and a half to learn about Fado and listen to the history and beautiful sounds. A must do in Porto to really embrace and immerse yourself in the Portuguese cultural.

It was really good. Musicians amazing. Great venue. Atmospheric, intimate and welcoming. Choice of complimentary drinks. The best thing was the business owner who was so friendly and passionate about Fado. If there’s one thing you book to visit in Porto it’s this place for an early evening musical treat.

The music was excellent and they gave a history to the background of the heritage. Overall it was a beautiful night.

5 of us attended the 530 PM show. Absolutely an eventful amazing evening. From the host who also spoke about Fado afterwards, to the singers (our duet at the end was our favorite) to the amazing musicians. The venue only holds about 25-30 people. It is authentic and you can tell the performers genuinely love their careers. One of the musicians came and spoke to us on their 5 minute break to educate us on the photos and Fado. Highly recommended. You will not be disappointed.

A beautiful and intimate setting for a great Fado concert, with two excellent performers. The perosn giving the talk on the history of the genre was extremely knowledgable and tailored his talk to ensure that each part was spoken in the languages of the audience in front of him. Overall, a brilliant evening and well worth a visit to really get immersed into the culture of Porto, while giving yourself plenty of time to explore other key sites in the local area.

Great and authentic experience. Both beautiful music and includes an explanation of the history of Fado. Even if you don’t know anything about Fado, this is a perfect beginner opportunity. Even if you don’t speak Portuguese! Highly recommend.

The concert was amazing. We were greeted with a friendly smile and a glass of wine. We then located to the basement theatre. The music began with two instrumental solos. One player played a typical Spanish guitar and the other a 12 string guitar. Their sound was magnificent. We were then entertained by a gentleman who sang several Fado songs with a very strong voice. Next we were treated to a woman with a lovely voice who sang several songs getting the audience involved with a sing along. Finally, a gentleman explained the history of Fado which was very interesting. It was a great show and a must see.

Loved the fado evening. We got a short fado history lesson, heard fado/traditional guitar instrumental, then a male fadista (singer) with guitars, and finally a female fadista with guitars. There were maybe 40 seats in the venue. A choice of wine or non-alcoholic beverage were offered. Recommend.

Besides the fact, that everyone was so welcoming and nice, I was the only guest that enjoyed the show, because I was the ONLY guest that showed up. I was a bit late and thought that show was already on, but no. Most places would just cancel and appoint another date or refund you. But these people still performed for just one person, I felt very privileged and welcomed. Everyone was attentive and gracious. Thank you again for the great show and all the effort!
