Exclusive Private Cruise In Porto With Porto Wine

My husband and I are visiting Portugal for the first time with another couple; our first night here we booked this 2-hour cruise for 4 on a Monday afternoon. Susana met us at the marina 5 minutes before schedule and we had a perfect day on the water with Susana and Sergio! They were such gracious hosts with an immaculate private boat, piloted gently down the river by Sergio as Susana told us about the sights we were seeing. She provided lots of insight to the city of Porto (and Gaia, too) and served delicious snacks and drinks. We had such a grand time on the water; we can't imagine a better way to begin our week in Porto. They gave us lots of great advice about the area, which is benefitting us in so many ways as we enjoy this beautiful city and region this week. Sergio and Susana are kind, friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and fun!

Susana and her husband were fantastic hosts. Provided interesting information about Porto, great snacks and drinks. Music and atmosphere were perfect. We were lucky with weather, and for 5 girlfriends it was a beautiful introduction to the city. We would highly recommend the evening cruise.

Susana and Sergio are fabulous hosts. We had a private tour. Susana is very knowledgeable about the history of Porto and such a great guide. It was a gorgeous afternoon with a bit of wind. It was a fantastic way to see Porto. Light snacks, and wine were served making this a memorable experience we will highly recommend.

Susanna and Sergio are great hosts, very knowledgeable and catered to all requests. They provided a lot of insights about the bridges and landmarks in Porto. The wine and charcuterie board had a great assortment. Also great with children.

Absolutely wonderful experience with the private boat tour with SS Amazing Duoro!! A perfect way to learn about the history of the bridges and sights along the river. The 4 of us (2 adults, a teenager and a 9 year old) had so much fun! The boat is extremely comfortable, the food and drinks are delicious, and Susana and Sergio are incredibly gracious and knowledgeable guides. The other group tour boats we saw on the water do not compare to the comfort and enjoyment of the SS Amazing Duoro tour. Do not hesitate to book this tour, you will love it!

How lucky we were to be met by Susanne and Sergio for our Douro River tour. Susanne has an intimate Knowledge of the river and bridges and shared many stories with us. And we were surprised when she brought out wine, cheese and strawberries. It was truly a wonderful time.

We had a really lovely time and would throughly recommend. We were a family of 5 and everyone come away saying how much they enjoyed the trip. They said 2 hours was enough and really enjoyed the wine and snacks provided. We thought it was excellent value of money. Couldn’t fault our hosts who looked after our every need and was very informative.

Suzanne and Sergio made our wonderful Douro River Cruise the highlight of our Porto trip. Suzanne was very knowledgeable and friendly, explaining the history of the city and pointing out the beautiful architecture. Sergio was an excellent captain, driving the boat so we didn't get wet from the sprays of water. We were even treated to glasses of Port and a beautiful charcuterie board to enjoy as we took in the magnificent river views. We would definitely advise anyone who enjoys cruising to take this Douro River Private Tour!

This was the highlight of mine and my partner's trip to Porto. Susana & Sergio have created a wonderful 2 hour experience where they share a wealth of knowledge on notable sites we pass by as well as insights on the historical and cultural development of Porto. They were kind enough to provide delicious snacks (fresh fruit, cheese, crisps) and wine for us to enjoy. The front of the boat was especially notable - super well cushioned and comfortable. We also managed to get some great photos. We plan to be back in Porto soon and we'll definitely be using Susana & Sergio's services again - a truly memorable experience.

We absolutely LOVED our time with Susanna and her husband on the Douro River Private Tour. She was an excellent guide, and her husband a great driver. We road all the way down the river to the opening of the Atlantic, then back down the Douro. She also prepared a wonderful charcuterie. Overall very relaxing and peaceful for our family.

What better way to see some of the sites in the area than by boat! The boat is new, comfortable and well appointed. Our guides were amazing. Lots of shared information about the history of the area. Susana our host was excellent, she communicated the meeting place well in advance. Her knowledge of the local landmarks was excellent and her commentary was delivered in a warm and welcoming manner. The skipper was great trying to avoid the wash of other larger vessels on the river. He also slowed down when he knew we were trying to get a steady photo. The cheese and fresh strawberries was a great touch served with a local rose and of course port. I highly recommend this tour if you want to avoid the masses and experience a great couple of hours on the water.

My daughter and I loved our private 6 Bridges River Tour! Susanna and Sergio were perfect hosts. It felt like luxury compared to the very full boats going by us. We could sit under the shade on our way out and hear clearly as Susanna explained the history of not just the bridges but any sites we had questions about. Then we were able to relax on the front of the boat as Sergio calmly drove the boat back to the marina. We would defiantly recommend this tour!!

Suzanna & Sergio were very welcoming into their gorgeous new boat. We went as far as the river harbor entrance and meandered back under the bridges amidst the tourist boats. Suzanna shared architectural and historical bits about the buildings, bridges and Porto & surrounding towns; sharing a natives knowledge and perspective. Would very highly recommend!

We did three tours in Porto and this was hands down our favorite! They are locals and care very much about providing a special and personalized experience.

I took this tour with my parents and it was simply fabulous. The boat is completely new, super comfortable and spacious. Captain Sérgio sailed calmly and you can see that he has a lot of experience. Susana is extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the city, she told a lot about the history and people of Porto. They served a snack and the wine was excellent. I really recommend it!!!!

Susanna and Sergio were wonderful hosts. There boat was small, but perfect for 2 couples. We enjoyed the champagne and snacks. Weather was perfect. We got to experience a beautiful sunset, and watch the kids jump off the bridge into the River Douro.

I booked this on a recent birthday trip to Porto and it was the best money I spent. The hosts were professional and punctual. Not only providing great knowledge about the river and city, but they also provided drinks and snacks throughout. 10/10 experience. I would recommend this for 2-3 people.

We were met by Susana who was extremely nice and helpful with a good understanding of English! We did not expect the level of drinks and snacks which we had along the journey or how we extremely comfortable the boat was too!!

There was great communication even before we arrived. We were greeted warmly and boarded the boat safely. The tour guides were excellent, provided much information about the River, Porto and surrounding areas. The bridges were amazing and much more so after hearing the history. We were provided with a delicious cheese board and drinks. They were blankets available as needed. It was a little busy on some parts of the River, but our Captain handled the boat very well. We had a 5:30 pm start and it was a beautiful night. We would highly recommend this activity.

We had excellent contact with Susana and Sergio for our 6pm cruise actually starting at 5:30pm to help Susana. It was no trouble to get to the Marina do Freixo at that time. As we had been out to Foz by tram previously we asked to go up the Douro to the east. We were the first to ask for this. The shoreline is much less developed than going towards the sea and under the bridges. We found it relaxing and quiet after our few days in old Porto city. We drank espumante and had cheese, grapes and mini-toasts. Susana pointed out a number of places including river beaches, villages and the first dam and lock on the river. We cruised back into the sunset. A very easy and lovely cruise.

Susanna and Sergio are a married couple that share their passion of Porto and boating on their lovely, pristine boat, the SS Amazing Douro. My grandma and I love having conversations with local residents where we travel, and these two were so incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about their city. They provided a lovely bottle of Portugese sparkling champagne, snacks, and a generous tasting of a delicious Porto wine. Sergio was an excellent skipper from growing up boating, and Susanna speaks amazing English and is full of wonderful stories about Porto and her family. They made you feel like friends, truly! I highly, highly recommend taking a trip out with them with your small group! It has been the highlight of our trip so far and one of the best experiences of our many travel adventures. The boat itself was beautiful, clean and a smooth ride. Susana had wonderful local knowledge and made us feel very welcome. This is the best way to see Porto/Gaia!!
