Quite a bit of time spent on the coach but a good mix of activities. The lunch was pretty mediocre but overall it was a good day.

Really great experience. Well organised and very interesting to see the different vineyards and winery
Amazing experience! Christina, in particular, bought the vineyard to life. Michael was super helpful and accomodating as our tour guide too!
I had a great time on this tour. Luis is a great guide with a lot of knowledge. He was very engaging, kept us entertained throughout the entire tour, and had great recommendations.
The guide and driver were fantastic. The whole experience was well organised and we saw some beautiful sites and learnt about wine production and the region. Lunch was disappointing.
Great and fun experience overall, You learn all about wine making in the region and the history of how it came to be. The boat cruise on the river was really nice. The weather in October can bring rain and more cold in the region so make sure to bring a jacket at least for the morning and the evening. Our guide Ricardo was excellent, he embellished the atmosphere and took good care of us.
Loved the tour guide. She was very informative, funny, and personable. Made everyone on the tour feel included.
Our guide was Luis who is very knowledgeable and funny. In the morning everyone had low energy but he took the time to explain everything about the places and to cheer us up. By the time people started drinking (I mean tasting xd) it was a lot better and we had a great day learning a lot about the Douro Valley.
Overall the experience was good. It was a chance to visit the Douro Valley for the first time. Very scenic. The bus ride was a little long but not bad. Bus was comfortable. The boat cruise was fun along the Duoro river. My only complaint is the wine tasting portion which was very little. I was thinking it would be like other wine tasting experiences where you sample a variety of whites and reds along with ports or you can choose which wine to taste. We only sampled a few wines. The second stop we only sampled 2 ports. I ended up buying my own glass of wine to try.
A great day visiting the Duoro Valley with our fantastic guide, Manuel who, with lots of humour and enthusiasm, provided interesting information on the production of wine in Porto region. Generous with samples for tasting at two venues and nice meal. Relaxing river cruise, but be sure to carry a jacket with you.
We had a fantastic time on our wine tour to the Douro Valley with boat cruise on 10-16-26. Igor was our guide and he was very knowledgeable, professional, considerate and informative. The lunch was delicious and the boat tour was picturesque and relaxing. We had a great day!
This was an amazing day trip! Milena was wonderful and made the trip even more enjoyable. I recommend it to everyone!
So worth the trip! We did the half day tour. Our guide was wonderful, food and drink were great, and the views are so breathtaking. Loved it!
No accommodations for double booking. It was clear that that was a system error and neither the tour or Viator were willing to accelerate. Would not recommend this tour or viator.
This was such a great day trip! We really enjoyed seeing the sights of the Douro Valley, learning about the port wine making process, and getting to try several different wines! This experience was absolutely worth it and we would recommend it to other looking to explore the wine country of Portugal!
An excellent family friendly choice for exploring the Douro valley region and taking in some of the amazing scenario and local delights.
the tour was good, enjoyed the wine tasting. wish the boat trip had a little commentary of the area or the nearby town. what made it great overall was we were with Milena’s group, she made the day fun and made adjustments to make the most of our trip, she shared a lot of info and she took very good care of us.
Manuel made our Viator Douro Valley Full Day Tour an absolute dream from start to finish. He was so warm, personable, and genuinely friendly, keeping everyone laughing and relaxed while expertly navigating those winding roads. The whole day was packed with highlights, starting with fantastic estates where we enjoyed amazing Port wine tastings. We also sat down for a delicious, lunch that gave us a true taste of the local culture. To top it all off, the breathtaking boat ride along the river offered the most stunning views of the terraced vineyards. We couldn't have asked for a better host or a more scenic day in the valley, and we highly recommend booking this tour.
Monica our driver and Milena our guide were an amazing duo who made the day seamless. Great sense of humour and taste in music! Pick up point was very accessible via the metro Our group was small (18) so it made the day seamless and we were able to get in a coffee stop and a viewpoint along with 2 tastings, a 3 course lunch and a 1 hour river cruise. The best value for money activity we’ve done
An enjoyable day. Lots of varied activities, great value for money, and Milena was a knowledgeable and efficient tour guide.
Guide Manuel was great. Scenery was absolutely stunning! Lunch not so great . The two winery tours were pretty much the same.
Beautiful scenery, breathtaking. Excellent driver. Wine tasting, albeit quite brief, was nicely done. We would have liked quite a bit more commentary and input from our guide, which was largely absent. She is a lovely person, but for this trip was more of a chaperone than a true guide. River cruise was a waste of time, no commentary, and was just something to add to the title of the trip, and of little value.
This is a must thing to do while staying in the Porto. Everything was perfect. The food and wine were delicious. Miguel was an incredible guide. Friendly, warm and exceptionally knowledgeable. Honestly I knew almost nothing about port before this tour. By the time the tour was finished, I was captivated not only by the tawny but also the history, culture and environment of the North of Portugal and the Douro valley in particular. Sheleigh was also an incredible driver. So many narrow hillside roads that she navigated with skill.
A wonderful day of exploring the Douro Valley! Our guide Luiz and driver Ricardo were excellent . Lunch was delicious and of course the port tasting was great
Extraordinary views from bus, boat and walking. Many elevated lengths of highway provided unique high elevation views. Meal at Caves Santa Marta winery was our best after 10 days in Portugal. The tour guide and driver kept us informed and entertained throughout. We strongly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Porto area.
Catarina was an incredibly friendly guide (with a 10/10 playlist) who stayed upbwat throughout the trip. The wine tastings were great (2 white, 2 red, 1 ruby) and the lunch pleasant
We had such an amazing experience! Our tour guide and bus driver were awesome and really made the experience the best time. The wineries we went to were delicious. Would highly recommend.
The tour was good, but at the end of the tour we had just a small paper cup of wine instead of a glass. Also it was the refrigerator with water and wine, nobody offered it, even to buy. So , good tour, but ok customer service
Tripadvisor app very easy to use, linked us to the pick up point. Guide messaged me day before and she was fabulous. The trip was great value for money. Milena was an excellent guide and Lewis the bus driver was great too. Milena made it fun and informative she went the extra mile Would recommend the trip Douro valley is beautiful
Manuell is an incredible guide. The long day trip went by fast, thanks to him. A lot of ijokes and intersting nformation. Nino(driver) did a fantastic job moving us around. I would give them 6 star if I could.
This was a good informative trip. But the coach window leaked and seat belts didn't work. The tour guide was good but the microphone was poor so at times it was hard to hear information.
The guide with us in the bus was fantastic as where the people onsite in the Port house and tasting
This tour was 10/10 in itself but was made exceptionally enjoyable because of the tour guide Igor. He was entertaining and so very informative with local history and fun facts 😎 Do not hesitate to book this tour. A full long day with the most beautiful scenery, amazing lunch, port and wine 🍷 tastings. The boat ride was excellent as well.
The right people and energy make any experience fabulous. Our guide Mia was wonderful and caring. The people we met along the tour were hysterical. We had the whole bus singing Mama Mia . The wine tasting and history was great and the scenery spectacular.
Relax and enjoy the day. Nice lunch and wine. Comfortable bus with knowledgeable people and a talented bus driver through the mountains.
Our guide, Michael and coach driver Sergio made us feel in safe hands. This was welcomed because we spent a long time on the coach - around 5 hours or more of the 10 hour day. Lunch was inedible - I ended up with a few spoonfuls of mashed potato- and the tastings just weren’t very interesting, weren’t of wine and only one was at a vineyard. The boat trip was ok but there was no commentary at all about the beautiful area we were in. I’m sure there are great trips to this stunning region, but this wasn’t one of them, and at €90 each, it simply wasn’t worth it.
Great day had by all. Lovely lunch and a well planned day. Michael our guide was very informative and kept us informed of the next stages of the itinerary. The boat trip, the visits to the cellars were a highlight fir us. The Douro Valley is stunning.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an amazing Douro Valley day tour with Milena on October 6th! She was friendly, engaging, knowledgeable, and made everyone in the group feel comfortable and included throughout the day. The tour included two wine tastings, a delicious three-course lunch at one of the wineries, and a beautiful 45-minute boat cruise along the Douro River. The cruise was definitely a highlight, giving us stunning views of the Douro Valley, the vineyards, and wineries along the river. Milena kept everyone engaged throughout the day with fun activities and interesting information about the region. She was wonderful with the group and really helped make the experience memorable. I would definitely recommend Milena and this Douro Valley day tour to anyone visiting Porto. It was a beautiful and enjoyable day from beginning to end!
Milena was great! She was very knowledgeable. We had a very good experience on this trip!
This tour was very well organized. Everything was perfect. Milena, our guide was funny, very knowledgeable and amazing! We had a great time !
The tour day was well balanced. We enjoyed the scenic views along the drive and our tour guide Milena was knowledgeable. We enjoyed a delicious lunch after the first tour. The food options were great and they were absolutely accommodating for those who had food restrictions. The portion of the port tours was fun and an easy introduction with the types of ports and how they are aged. The cruise was a nice way to see the landscape up close.
A must see area of Portugal, the Douro Valley was beautiful, as the river and elevation changes and the vineyards were breathtaking. Amazing to know that the terrain is so steep it is too difficult to use machinery for harvesting. Many hands and feet go into the wine production. We met the growers and tasted the fruits of the vine with tourists from all over the world. Manuela was professional, informative and showed us a great time. I highly recommend it.
It is worth it- very well planned day Plenty of wine! Igor is a great guide- lots of music on the bus
Great trip with Victor our amazing driver and Manuel as our increíble host. We ran into an unexpected active ,triathlon which even the authorities were unaware. Our driver, Victor safely drove us thru unparalleled dangerous conditions, which we had been detoured, due to the triathlon The roads were winding and very narrow roads on cliffs. The authorities were of no help for this adventure! Manuel worked hard to keep all of us calm and safe and assured us this was highly unusual! We were cheering and clapping for Victor’s and Manuel’s negations with the authorities and challenges!! We got to our boat ride and sailed so beautifully thru so many fabulous vineyards. Manuel incredible knowledge as he informed us of each winery’s age and what they produced and how wine vs port is produced. Very very Informative !! Went to a wonderful port winery again quite informative and delicious port was tasted. We then went another winery, had a fantastic 3 course meal, with many many glasses of wine! We purchased cases of their delicious wine as well as port! We met so many wonderful people! As expected, we all slept on the way back, as we drank and drank!! What a fantastic adventure!! Victor and Manuel were THE BEST EVER!! Cheers to them and all our friends we have met along a very adventurous “trip we will NEVER forget”! Renee, Jim Cindy& Bill
I totally recommend them. The value for money was great! Everything was carefully prepared and arranged to make the day unforgettable. This was a birthday gift me and my friends arranged for the friend that went with me and she loved it. We had an amazing day!
Must do day trip. Lots of great views, really interesting information and so much wine and port. The lunch was surprisingly really good quality. The guide and driver both absolutely brilliant - Miguel and thiago
I enjoyed the duro valley. The wine tastings and lunch was good as was the boat ride. Can highly recommend
Our guide and driver were excellent. Rute was funny, educational and very accommodating
A lovely day out. This 10hr trip included a stop (and samples) at two Port producing wineries, a boat trip and lunch. Our house was very lovely but did keep banging on about how it’s “illegal to eat or drink anything on a coach in Portugal”…… whilst this may be a policy of the operator (CM Tour), it was a bit ridiculous to keep repeating everyone that it’s against the Law in Portugal……. Far better to just state that it’s not allowed on the coach instead of actually stating too everyone that if the police see you, you will get into lots of trouble 🤣….. anyway, a nice trip overall
This is a very long tour (10.5 hours) which could be shortened by less port/wine tasting. There is a lot of coach travel involved and multiple stops. Lunch is early (at 12) so there was a long time from the end of lunch until the tour finished. Our guide and driver were great however; the lunch was only average and consisted of very small portions which was disappointing. We enjoyed the tour, but it was not outstanding. Scenery was impressive though!
