Our guide Luis was outstanding. His English is excellent — clear, fluent, and easy to follow. At every stop, he explained the history and the stories behind the place in a way that was clear and engaging, never rushed. Whenever we had a question, he answered it thoroughly and with real knowledge. You can tell immediately that he is very experienced and genuinely knows how to talk with his guests. He reads the group, keeps things lively, and makes everyone feel welcome. The Douro Valley is beautiful on its own, but Luis made the day truly memorable. Highly recommended — ask for Luis if you can.

Carlos Daniel was wonderful. He was kind, accommodating, patient, funny, and warm. His personal touch and personal stories gave the trip a local feel. He made the experience all the better. We visited 2 wineries and both with an authentic feel. The meal at the 2nd one made me feel at home and was just right, given the cooler weather at this time of year. It was a veal stew made to suit all palates in the group. The meal was the definition of farm to table. The owner of the 2nd winery was the one who made the whole meal, and also the one who served us. It felt like I was in my aunt's home. Overall, a great experience.

We were picked up on time. Even though we shared the experience with 3 other people, we were very comfortable in the vehicle. Philipe was entertaining, knowledgeable, and very accommodating in making sure that we all had a memorable experience. He made the trip interesting and exciting. Everything ran like clockwork. Just amazing- the ride to Douro Valley, the boat ride, the wineries, a delicious home-cooked ela. Perfect!

Ana was such a wonderful tour guide! She was very kind and patient. This tour was our favorite experience on our trip to Porto. The Douro Valley is beautiful, the two wineries are family owned organic “quintas” and the wine tastings and lunch were phenomenal. 10/10 would absolutely recommend!

Initially felt €109 was expensive but it turned out to be so much more than I expected. Luis our guide and driver has amazing knowledge and was super attentive. A perfect day!!

Luis is an incredible tour guide, from the collection at the hotel to drop off, he was absolutely fantastic. Our day was full of surprises, the wonderful historical references on route, the boat trip on the river, the winery tour, the four course lunch, the company on the bus, all great people. Take this tour if you can, you won’t be disappointed

This tour is a fantastic way to experience the region. Our guide, Phillipe, shared his wealth of information about wines, Portugal, music, and local culture. We visited two boutique wineries, one of which provided a delicious home-cooked meal. Overall a perfect day in this beautiful part of the world.

Alex was honestly the best guide. Really helpful and very informative. I will say I thought the food was pretty poor. It says small group and though you travel as a small group we ended up being with another group the whole time. The boat was also huge with lots of people - again taking away from that small group feel. The second wine tasting wasn’t really a tasting it was more - here’s the wine with it. Douro valley was just beautiful.

An incredible adventure in the Douro Valley, filled with scenic overlooks, quaint winery tours, and port tastings. A perfectly curated day trip with an exceptionally attentive and knowledgeable guide (shout out to Daniel)!

It’s a fun, busy day of activity. Wear comfortable footwear and clothing appropriate for the weather. It was not clear that What’s App would be the primary means of contact. There was no mention of that during the booking process.

Amazing day of touring the Douro Valley! Luis was a fantastic guide! He was a wealth of information and so helpful all day. The meal we had at the first winery was absolutely delicious, and the tour and tasting were great. The boat was a nice scenic tour after lunch. And the final winery visit to the organic vineyard was a perfect end to our day. Highly recommend this trip!

Luis was an excellent guide, highly recommend! The 2 wineries we visited were top notch! The lunch was so worth it! I can’t say enough about this tour only 8 people, comfortable ride and Luis was so knowledgeable, Quinta Monte Travesso was the 1st winery with lunch, the 2nd winery was puramente winery, Kristian our guide was awesome!! It maybe a little more money but so worth it!

Both vineyards we visited were really good. The first, quinta sant Julia was a beautiful setting with lovely gardens.the boat trip also very good and we were blessed with beautiful sunny weather. Our guide was also very informative and obliging. The small group was a great choice and a lot nicer journey on mountain roads in a smaller vehicle.

My wife and I are seasoned travellers and have done a large number of day tours all around the world. Whilst the scenery was spectacular, it was somewhat let down by the lack of enthusiasm and information provided by the tour guide. She was a lovely lady, but lacked the knowledge of the area we were travelling to. It was a small group of seven people. We were at the back of the van and could not hear anything that was being said by the guide. There were very long periods of complete awkward silence. The van was hot and stuffy. The tour guide really just acted like a taxi from destination to destination rather than making the tour fun and memorable.

This was an amazing tour! You get to see some of the most beautiful countryside in Portugal, and possibly the world. The wine and food are excellent as well! And the tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and easy to talk to.

Rui was a great driver and guide, he is 5 stars! The first winery was fine with some okay wine and minimal pour. The port was great. Lovely property. Boat cruise was good with excellent scenery. The second winery a very good tasting experience of organic wines. I wouldn’t want to drive in this region!

Really enjoyed the wineries and the lookout for a photo. There was a lot of driving and it was a long day. It could have been shorter. I also could have lived without the boat tour. While I loved the family, a baby crying in the fan is not what I paid for.
