Douro Valley & Amarante Wine, Food & Boat Tour From Porto

A really pleasant and beautiful day. We were looked after by Vitor who was great fun, he got the whole group laughing and in a good mood from the off. The cruise along the river was gorgeous, we drank wine and ate food and took it all in. The tour of the family port making house was excellent. The port was delicious and we bought some to bring home. A fantastic day out. I would put aside more than 6 hours as was advertised. It took more like 8 but it was worth it.

This trip was one of the highlights of our weeks stay in porto.💓 Victor was our guide and was so knowledgeable about the dourro and surrounding areas he was very friendly and funny too😄. We started off at our pick up point and then we were drove through the valley by the lovely driver (Fernando)hope i got the name right😀 and Victor our guide gave us a very informative talk about the region and the wine and port produced in the area. We then got on the boat and sailed up the dourro and were given sparkling wine and charcuterie....it was all very lovely and the views were amazing 💗after the boat trip we were then driven to a port vineyard in the valley where we sampled all the beautiful ports ...it was very delicious and the host of the place was really friendly and knowledgeable about all the produce😀❤️we then went on to a small town ammarante where we went to a family run resteraunt and sampled their local Portuguese food which was lovely. Whilst visiting porto I would definately recommend this trip.we met a lot of lovely people who were on our trip and we had a lot of fun 😃thank you Victor for making the day so special.💙

Our guide, Carlos, was delightful and eagerly shared his love of country, food, people, etc. The boat ride was a bit chilly but beautiful scenery from the river-level view. Charming town where we had a traditional lunch.

Very nice excursion. We tasted various types of port wine, went on a cruise along the Douro and had a nice lunch. Our guide was very friendly.

This was such a fun and awesome trip. Pedro was funny personal and educational. Would highly recommend this tour and this guide!

I had the time of my life. Our guide Miguel was the best educator, quiz master and funny man you will find. He made the day so perfect. Would not have been the same without him. Duoro River was so beautiful. Just so beautiful. Pinhao and Amorante were so worth visiting. The food and port provided came from local families and with love I recommend this tour as a must to do. Wonderful

Miguel kept us so busy with trivia, music, getting to know each other & information that the travel time went soooo quickly. The scenery was incredible & the tasting experiences were great. Our driver was very good & professional & our transport vehicle was very comfortable. We enjoyed this day so much. A great memory of the Duoro Valley & River.

Miguel was a wonderful tour guide and made the trip very memorable. He has a great way with appealing to all the different people. There were 14 people on our tour from lots of different countries and he was very good getting these people to laugh and get along with each other. I would recommend Miguel 100% and you’ll have a great time.

The winery selected was lead by knowledgeable wine expert. The van ride was comfortable and air condition. Great value, I highly recommend to book this trip!

It was such a beautiful experience. Miguel our tour guide made sure we were all in check and kept us informed and cracked a few (funny) jokes. Rui was a great driver and made sure we got to each destination safely. Seeing Douro through a guided trip was definitely the move. From getting bused there, to drinking several different types of wine, having lunch being included and the train ride made the whole experience super easy. I think it would've been a bit harder doing it on my own. So if you want an easy travel day while drunk definitely do this! Thank you again Miguel and Rui!

One of the best parts of the Porto experience. The wine was delicious, the views were spectacular and the guide Miguel was great. He made sure we got the best of each part of the tour, from the winery, to the boat, and train ride. Everything was taken care of and all we had to do was not spill the wine and enjoy the trip.

This was a lovely experience to the most beautiful countryside of Portugal. The guide Miguel was amazing along the driver Rui. I booked it through GYG and they write the experience already finishes at 15.20. But we were first back around 18.00. The size of the group was 27 people, which weren’t to much or little. The group was very mature and mainly couples, but for me as a young solo traveler I enjoyed it just as much, getting down I pace. Overall super good trip!

This was a great all day tour. Our tour guides Miguel and Rui were amazing and kept us informed as we went through the tour. They even made it fun with some games of trivia throughout the day. We traveled with two kids and they enjoyed the tour as well (while obviously not partaking in the wine aspect). The winery was beautiful and even gave the kids apple juice so they could participate in the tasting part. Highly recommend adding this to your trip!

Great day - wonderful views- the trip was made by the guide ( Miguel) who gave great information, good jokes , included everyone and was very flexible- driver Rui was excellent, smooth drive and made sure we got to where we needed to be.

WHAT A DAY!!! This is a fantastic way to experience the Douro Valley! How our drive Mina made our transportation so smooth, up and down steep hills and through countryside is beyond me, but she is a pro! Manuel was fun, knowledgeable, and probably one of the best tour guides we have ever had on our travels! This tour allows you to experience everything the valley has to offer all packed into one day. It’s a must if you’re visiting Porto, and I can only hope you get as lucky as we did to have Manuel and Mina help us because we enjoyed the day so much!!

Excellent day with Miguel our tour guide and Mina our driver. Full day experience with wine tasting, train and boat ride through Duro Vally and great lunch. Miguel was very informative and entertaining. He also doubled as the unofficial photographer. Mina was an excellent driver and showed us “hidden” lookout / scenic spots Excellent trip and would highly recommend it when in Porto

This was a beautiful tour that had experiences via boat, train, and bus. Miguel was very engaging and fun to experience the Duoro Valley with. Would highly recommend.

It was a fun, informative & very enjoyable tour. Miguel was excellent & was one of the best guides I have ever experienced. Our driver Mina was also excellent.

The drive was super smooth thanks to Mina, she is a great driver! The tour was guided by Migel, he made the day so fun. The bus ride was a blast with lots of fun and information, for the train ride he knows the best seating spots and he makes sure the boat ride is a great music filled ride. The food in the little tavern is great aswell, super cozy and good food. We had a group of about 20 people and it was so fun, everyone was talking and laughing together which made the whole experience even better. Would definitely recommend doing this trip, the vieuws are exceptional and the port tastes so good.

An incredible journey—one of the most fun and interesting of our lives! We laughed, danced, and sang a lot, learned so many interesting things about Porto, and saw incredible views!

Miguel and Mina were a great duo to guide the day! Mina was a skillful driver and Miguel created a fun and friendly vibe on board. The train and boat rides were scenic and a pleasant way to see the area. We visited Croft for the tasting and enjoyed a nice lunch in Pinhão.

Ok too much party for my taste. Food was not good

One of the best trips of my life. operator Miguel extremely cannot or entertain us throughout the trip. The most memorable people across the group and felt extremely warm and safe. Mina drove vehicle amazingly. Five stars🎖️🎖️🎖️🎖️🎖️ to the entire team. Don’t think just go with them.

Very worthwhile- Duoro was amazing and we had the best guide named Catarina and driver Paul. She shared all of her knowledge and was so accommodating and had such a great sense of humour!
