Discovering Porto In An Eco-friendly Vehicle

This tour was hosted by Ricardo (tour guide and driver. I highly recommend this activity for many reasons. The car was most comfortable and we got to explore so much of Porto. More than we thought we would see. Ricardo was professional and friendly and has extensive knowledge of the history of Porto and Portugal in general. We learned so much during this tour. Thank you Ricardo for a very pleasant morning.

This was an absolutely lovely tour from the back of a convertible electric car with the top down. Most tours do not go to the Oceanside, but we not only saw it but sat and had a glass of port wine on the ocean wall. We saw all the important sites, and discovered where we wanted to go next. We were even dropped off at Livaria Lello with a recommendation on where to eat nearby. It was a must do in Porto. You will love it!

Our guide, Ricardo was wonderful. Even though some of the regular tour route could not be followed due to a marathon causing street closures Ricardo improvised and gave a a very good tour. Vehicle was very comfortable. Highly recommend

Ricardo's tour was outstanding. He is friendly, knowledgeable, and fun. The little vehicle was able to reach places easily that would otherwise have been difficult. My four-year-old loved it too! Our family would gladly book another tour with Eco Local Tours.

Had a great time on this tour of Porto in an e-car. Window coverings and roof can be open or closed to ensure a comfortable ride regardless of weather. Ricardo is a capable driver, who is extremely friendly and knowledgeable, pointing out all the sights and giving us local insights. Highly recommend!!

A great way to see Porto and all its surrounding cities. Went to the coast where the Duoro meets the Atlantic. It was beautiful. Ricardo, our guide was fabulous. Nice touch with Port tasting at the shore.

My wife and I had a wonderful time. We especially loved the small group atmosphere, as well as the varied food, green wine, beer, and port tastings! Gonçalo was a terrific guide.

A fun, comfortable and unique way to see Porto and surrounding area. Ricardo was a wonderful host - friendly, knowledgeable and a great photographer! He gave some excellent recommendations for our visit. We often use the city bus tours but this was far superior. Highly recommended.

Ricardo is an amazing guide and we could not have been happier with the decision to take his tour. He is extremely informative and has a wealth of knowledge of Porto’s history, as well as current events taking place in the city. He gave us some awesome recommendations and tips on everything from restaurants to must see places. Porto is a vibrant city with so many places to see it can be overwhelming, but Ricardo really helped guide us on the must see locations and little hidden gems of the city. While this was not the tour we expected (due to a new city regulation that involving vehicles in the historic district), we had a great morning seeing the outlying area of the city and hearing a little history and of course a glass of port wine. Thank you.

Wonderful overview of Porto and surrounding areas! We loved getting to see some great viewpoints as well as the coastline and smaller cities nearby. He even had some port available for is to enjoy beachfront. Very comfortable vehicle- more so than a traditional tuk tuk! Highly recommend!

Ricardo was extremely knowledgeable and spoke easily understandable English. He showed us all of the sights in both Porto and Gaia. He was obviously proud of his home and rightly so. More of the Duoro valley is now on our wish list.

We were so lucky to find Ricardo during our stay in Porto. He and his electric car were exactly what we were looking for. His great knowledge and love for his city and his friendliness and willingness to share his information were exceptional. His open convertible car was far superior to the other vehicles being offered for similar tours. Being in close proximity to the driver, we were able to carry on a continuous conversation with him as we drove through the city, stopping for photo shoots, pointing out all of the historical sites, driving down very narrow streets and alleys to get the best views of the sites in this wonderful city and the nearby beach area and getting his insights on the social and economic conditions of the area. If you want an up close view of Porto, Ricardo is your man!

Ricardo gave us a fantastic tour of the city, including driving us out to the coast which we wouldn't have done on our own. We definitely got a good feel for the city, as this was our first day. We were able to go back to a few places during our stay.

This tour was absolutely ideal! Ricardo brings the beautiful city of Porto to life, not only with his vast knowledge of his city, but with his absolute LOVE of his home. He customized our time together by focusing on our desire to see and learn about some of the city center highlights, and with his uniquely special eco-friendly car, he could safely zip-us around far, far more comfortably than an often quite bumpy tuk-tuk. We were even able to take in some incredible vistas from the Monestary of Serra do Pilar in Gaia, on the opposite side of the Duoro River from Porto. I also have to mention that we were beyond impressed with his insights into the stunning tiles adorning the historic Sao Bento Train Station...we would have missed so much if we were on our own! From personalized hotel pick-up to his special grand finale "treat", Ricardo truly made our intro to Porto so memorable.

Ricardo was a wonderful tour guide - very knowledgeable about the history of Porto and Portugal. We enjoyed seeing places that we probably wouldn't have done on our own because of the hills. The port tasting near the end of the tour was a classy touch.

Ricardo is an excellent tour guide! He is very knowledgeable of the history and monuments of Porto. His vehicle is exceptionally comfortable, it has plenty of room for 2 adults to sit side by side. The car is very easy to see out of. The tour covered a lot of ground, it gave us bearings for what’s where on our first day!

Ricardo was the best!! His knowledge of the city and it’s history was top notch. The open air car was a smooth ride and perfect for allowing us to capture pictures of all the amazing sights. He was very flexible and accommodating to our schedule. Prior to the tour, we communicated multiple times and he always responded in a timely manner and was very helpful. We had the best day with Ricardo. He is such a wonderful man. He went above and beyond to please us. We started out a 9 am and back at 6 pm. He showed us everything we wanted to see in Porto and more. He is very knowledgeable able the history behind all the places in Porto. He treated us to our first Pastel da Nata. We had a wonderful lunch in Matosinhos. His electric car is comfortable and great for touring. No fumes, no bouncy around, and quiet unlike a tuk tuk. Great for picture taking since it has open windows. Stops along the way. We were like family by the end of the trip. We highly recommended him.

Ricardo gave us a terrific tour of Porto. The Tuk Tuk car was electric so it cruised smoothly through city streets. The vehicle was very comfortable for me and my husband, both of us are in our 70s. Ricardo was very knowledgable and gave us a lot of good information on the history and culture of Porto. We would do it again with him!

We reserved this TukTuk Tour last minute and were so glad we did. Our driver, Ricardo, was really great. He was waiting for us at the meeting point and the car was super comfortable. This car was way more comfortable than the other TukTuks we saw. It was super clean and nice. We were pleasantly surprised that we were the only 2 people, so we had a private 2 hour tour. Ricardo took us pretty much everywhere and was easy to talk to and very informative. He dropped us off at a different location to make it easier for us to do something else we wanted to do. It was a totally great experience that I would recommend to everyone.

Loved this tour and the cute little car. Originally booked a tuktuk so surprised when we saw the car show up but it was still super fun. My husband actually preferred the car over a tuktuk. It's like a toy car =) We were lucky as well and got a nice day so nice to have the top down and enjoy the city. Saw all the main sites and got out to parts of Porto we had been wanting to see. Super fun time!

It was an amazing experience. Ricardo showed us the city mainly the historical site on our request. He knew a lot about his city and gave us tips on the not touristic restaurants to get the good food. The day after we took a walk on our own to realize that we have seen the city in a 2 hour tuk tour. It is very recommendable!

Wonderful experience seeing Porto worth a private guide on a cute tuk tuk. He showed us so many interesting sites and told us a lot of history. The narrow cobbled streets of Porto are gorgeous and great for exploration with a local guide who is knowledgeable and fun. This is what you get when you book this tour!
