Alvaro came to our rescue when our tour guide didn't whoe up at the horseman statue. We grouped together with Jill and Brian 2 people we got talking too who were also let down and it was so enjoyable Historic and local knowledge. We covered a lit of substance the walking tour wouldn't!!!

Excellent tour of the Old City, Alvaro is a great storyteller and very knowledgeable about the city. He’s also an excellent photographer and took great photos of us at different lookout points. Highly recommend this tour… Do it early on in your visit so that you can get a sense of the layout of the city and enjoy his many recommendations. The price for a 2 hour trip is better than the Tuk-tuk rides which are half the time and with his old-style military jeep, it’s a quaint and fun way to visit Porto.

While in Porto, we booked this tour to get a nice overview of the highlights of the city. However, the host, Alvaro, offered us much more than this! We got to see everything by jeep, even the parts of the city that were very hard to reach. Furthermore, we got to taste a delicious port at Porto Cruz. For the rest of the week, Alvaro was there for us to give us tips and to travel us everywhere we wanted with his jeep. Very nice experience over all!!

This was one of the highlights of my trip to Portugal! Alvaro was so warm and friendly and gave such a fun and informative tour. The UMM was very comfortable and gave a smooth ride. We got to see way more of the city than we would ever get to see by ourselves! Highly recommend to anyone wanting to truly see Porto.

As a first time visitor in Oporto and with only a short time to spare. A huge highlight for me, not to mention a stroke of luck at meeting one of the most amiable guys in Alvaro that I have come across, was the wonderfully crafted tour around the city that we had with Classic porto. Easy going and willingness to be as flexible as you want to get the most out of your time in Oporto. So, if you fancy the more popular spots, something a bit more of the beaten track, a bit more on the history & current workings of the city or a mix of everything then you couldn’t make a better choice here. A huge plus to mention is the open top 4x4 ride which offers you a panoramic (weather permitting of course) view of the city. I found it particularly useful for getting your bearings and taking note of a few places that I would like to return to on foot and spend a bit more time exploring. As an aside, Alvaro is also a freelance photographer so a lot of the ”off the beaten track” parts of the city you get to visit are a product of that too. All the best photographers know their city like the back of their hands and there is no exception here either.

We have done a route with Alvaro through Porto, with our children aged 7 and 3. It was a fantastic experience. He is very friendly and friendly. He has shown us the most spectacular corners of the city, as well as accompanying him with explanations of the monuments and streets through which he took us in his 4x4 UMM. He also took some great pictures of the whole family. Highly recommended.
