Your expert guide will collect you from your hotel/accommodation or meeting point and will drive you to the renown Douro region. On your way to the Douro, the guide will give you insights regarding the Portuguese history, development and cultural facts of portuguese heritage. Half Way through the drive to the Douro Region we will do a short stop for a coffee break.
Welcome to the Douro Region, famous for it's valley, Unesco World Heritage site, the oldest demarked wine region with unique landscapes of vineyards and the magical Douro river giving you the perfect background for a day of amazing wine tastings.
Arriving in Sabrosa we will do our first visit of the day. We will discover the first of two wineries where you learn about the wine production and history of Douro Region, and its wines. You will have the oportunity to taste different wines before the lunch. A complete lunch will be served by the end of the visit: a full traditional portuguese meal with entrance, main dish, dessert, pairing with Douro red or white wine.
After lunch we will drive through the windy Douro roads on the way to Pinhão and we will do a quick photo stop at one of the most impressive viewpoints of the region. Enjoy the views and share with your friends and collegues on social media!
It's now time to sail! Enjoy a 50 minutes scenic cruise on the Douro river departing from Pinhão on board of a traditional Rebelo boat.
National Road 222: drive through the most beautiful road in the world Did you know that one of the most beautiful roads in the world is Portuguese? We talk about the Estrada Nacional 222, which takes you to discover the incredible Douro wine region. On our tour will pass on this amazing road and point out the most scenic views.
Our wine tour is not over yet! There is time to visit one more renown Winery. The winery expert guide will walk you through the estate ,explaining the process from the vinyard to the bottle ending with a magnificent tasting of three different types of wines.

We had an outstanding guide that made the excursion excellent. Our guide Ricardo was energetic and enthusiastic with great knowledge describing what we were seeing on our way to the Douro valley. The wineries visit was great and the food at lunch was amazing and on top of this there was no limit on the good wine they served us. Ricardo sense of humour is bar by none and he really made the day so enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour and if you’re lucky to get Ricardo you’ll get the cream of the cream! Great value for the price!

We had a wonderful time on our Duoro Valley wine tour with David and Miranda. We got to learn about the history of Port Wine and wine in the Duoro Valley region, while sipping on local wines and port. The lunch was delicious, the wine was strong, and the company was wonderful. This tour was a highlight of my solo trip to Portugal! I chose this as a little birthday treat for myself and was so delighted. Our guide David was educational, kind, and also funny. (The themed music was a nice touch) Our driver Mr Miranda was great in ensuring our safety and he took some pictures for me as he saw I was solo traveling! Additionally, the tour itself was so beautiful! Saw two different vineyards, and the lunch was so good! 10/10 experience and would recommend to a friend or a fellow solo traveler. I also made some friends with some other couples traveling. Though I was alone, I felt very welcomed. Thank you David & Mr Miranda for making my trip so special.
Really nice way to get to Douro and see some remote areas that are difficult to travel to independently. Nice lunch. Boat ride. Visit Croft winery and a restaurant/winery for lunch and cellar tour. Highly recommend as a day trip option from Porto. David and Miranda are wonderful!

We had an absolute great time! Our tour guide/driver, Francisco, was great as well. We were not aware however that the tour was in Portuguese and English, so we couldn’t communicate too much with the other couples in our group.
We loved the whole experience. It was a shame that English speaking booked a Spanish tour, but apart from that we had a great time.

The tour was lovely, we went with Ricardo and Joel who were very knowledgeable on the wine and the region. The tour takes you to a nice village, then a winery/lunch place, then a boat tour, and finishes with a winery. The entire experience start to finish was very thoughtful and gave you a nice set of experiences. Would recommend.

Visit of two wineries, including a full lunch. They took us to a boat tour for a 30 min ride. Day started at 8:20, ended up back in Porto around 1800.

Amazing experience! Well organised, and a great way to see Douro in a day! My partner and I are not big on wine but still really enjoyed the tour and tastings. Our guide and driver, Licinio and Miranda, were great and very engaging! The only note I have is that the tour ran a little bit longer than expected and we ended up getting back an hour later.

A fantastic trip, thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of the day. Lots of variety throughout the day, wine tasting, scenery, river cruise, lunch and a walking trip including the Cathedral. Our guide, Licinio was informative, interesting and looked after us all, Miranda was a great driver, we felt safe throughout the day, we were dropped off and picked up outside each venue.
