Sound was patchy from ear phones. No numbers on stops , didn't advise you name of stop. Was awful

Went on both routes, the red line and blue line, and was able to see the things we wanted to see. The audio guide was good and we were able to get seats upstairs on both trips, the buses were every 15 minutes and came on time. Recommend 48 hour ticket which we thought was good value for money but did not do the walking tour which was included in the ticket price
Good for getting across to the ocean and over the river. Pickup was convoluted and the sightseeing audio was horribly timed and not helpful. Great if you would like to use it as a key to see the outer parts and Gaia and Porto- best served as a transportation tool.
Daniella was wonderful guide. We did 2 walking tours with her. Best tours yet.
Enjoyable bus tour, felt narrative didn’t always line up with location, beautiful city, lots tomlearn
Very disappointing experience. The stops are hard to find if you’ve been walking around for a bit and want to catch the bus again. Along the way you run into staff who give you unclear directions. At the end of the day I noticed that the bus had deviated from the route and skipped several stops. On the way to what was supposed to be our stop, I decided to politely ask the driver whether he was going straight there. In response I received extremely rude answers from the grumpy driver. I didn’t pay 31 euros to be told off by a José Mourinho clone in Portugal.
We originally booked the luxery Yacht cruise and they for unknown reasons canceled at the last minute so we signed up for the city tour which turned out fine. There are 2 different routes, the red and blue which travel to different parts of the city. It is a 2 deck bus which was comfortable. Turned out to be a nice day where they opened the top. You used provided earpieces to listen to the tour in different languages which worked well. It was easy to get on and off at different parts of the tour. My only complaint is that the audio was not very descriptive and it could have pointed out different landmarks and buildings better such as on the right side of the bus or describe the building, etc a little better so you know what they were talking about.
One of my travel hacks is using the hop on hop off bus to get a good idea of the city. We usually ride it around one full loop and then ride to stops that interest us. It's a great way to navigate the city. Usually, the buses are very clear when and where they stop. Announcing the stop via audio, at minimum, or they have a guide on the bus who let's everyone know what stop. On this bus, however, that it did not happen. No announcements, the stops were inconsistent so it was hard to tell a stop from a general stop for traffic. While it served it's purpose it certainly wasn't convenient. Moral of the story...if you ride it just be aware of when and where you want to get off.
We always enjoy the hop on/hop off buses. Porto was no exception. We did the two day tour, as there are two lines - blue, covering mostly Gaia on the south side and red, covering Porto on the north side of the Douro river. The weather was perfect so we did a lot of exploring.
Gabriel D was great! He explained everything clearly, gave us all the information we needed, and made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. He was very helpful and made sure we understood everything about the tickets and the tour. Excellent service and highly recommended!
We thought it was awesome! I would recommend this tour when you’re staying in Porto! The crew was the best!
We took two different loops so we got to see a lot of the city. The recorded commentary was fine. Buses were frequent enough that we had virtually no waiting time when we got off on stops, Good value!
Tried to change my order, "contact us" doesnt work. Nobody to reply. We have used Viator and City sightseeing in tge past with better luck.
Dog was allowed to come in his wheelbox which was nice! Tiago in the office was really friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend however the quality of the audio is very bad quality and old
Great scenery but we were there on a holiday so very busy. Normally we would do the red line then the blue line but traffic was bad. Still so much to see.
Too bad the first bus leaves at 10am in Sept - there's just too many things to visit for such a short duration, even with a 48-hour pass.
Daniella was excellent tour his not so Good
Not that interesting, bus driver was so rude and angry to everyone that it ruined the trip for us. The blue line tour was not our first choice, but was the only one available when we got there. I’m assuming the red line would’ve been better, But never made it to it.
Wonderful tour. Very easy to understand and many areas of interest covered.
Daniela showed us around. Super experience. Lovely guide. Very enthousiatic.
An overall good experience and great way to see Porto.
Baltazar is an excellent guide! Great way to get an intro to the city to you know what to revisit later
Did the walking tour - Baltazar was very informative and friendly
No AC downstairs in bus and too hot on top to enjoy anything, plus you couldn’t really see much of stop for pics.
We didn’t feel that it took us to places we wanted to see. Stops are hard to find and the runs constantly runs late
When we bought the tickets on Rua de Sa da Bandeira, Tiago helped us. He was enthusiastic, informative, and patient.
The only issues we had was 1. where to catch the bus, 2. the highest volume is still hard to hear with the traffic and construction, 3. The blue line is actually on a RED BUS.
Good value. Good overview of the city.
Daniela did a lovely walking tour. She is so friendly and has a lot of knowledge. Thank you so much
Great way to see the city. Unfortunately the recoding didn’t match were we were
After the Boat trip, a 90 min free walking tour with Balthazar was very informative and provided a locals insight to the history and life of Porto.
Our guide was very knowledgeable. My only suggestion is a better audio system as it was difficult to hear him most of the time.
We bought our tickets from one of their official stands, the directions to the bus stop were awful. We had to ask their rival vendor for directions! The 48 hour ticket is good value as it covers the Porto, Porto at night and Gaia tours. The Porto tour is very long, we went round once to get an idea of where to get of the next time round. Unfortunately for us, the second time round was during rush hour traffic so we were on the bus for ages! The commentary was adequate; I agree with other reviewers that it can be a bit behind and the music could definitely be better. The Gaia tour is shorter; again we went round once to decide where to get off on the next time round. We stopped at the cable cars stop which was perfect. There is no one to give you advice about the attractions, you can get a map but that's not helpful if you need to know specific details before deciding whether to get off or not particularly as the bus stops are so far apart. It would be helpful if you could get dropped off wherever you wanted.
It was an interesting walk. We went in some lovely old family shops we probably wouldn’t have known about before. Our guide was very knowledgeable and open to questions.
So the bus tour - it’s a bus tour unfortunately it doesn’t have many stops and it’s circular taking around 1hr for the red line and 3/4 hr for the blue line for all its importance Porto isn’t the best out of town build up etc. However the big red bus does have some tricks up it sleeve catch at bus stop in Ribeira go to next stop at top of the hill and walk back down! It has on the ultimate a river cruise which works in your favour. But the best secrets are the wine tastings included if you can follow it you need to do your homework for it to work including a cracking museum on the river banks well worth it! Irrespective of it being circular with only a few stops it’s worth the cost to see most of Porto.
The Red bus tour was basically a 90 minute bus ride with commentary from a walking tour. It bore no resemblance to what we were looking at. The map we were given is useless. Good luck in finding any of the pick up points, the map does not give anything useful like a street name or address, just a number which covers half a block. The stops are not numbered and if it wasn’t for other confused people we would not have known where to get on. The blue route is even worse. Be prepared for a long long walk to get to the river front where all the attractions are.Save you money and time and use a very cheap taxi! I have used Red Bus tours all over the world and have always found them useful and informative, but not in Porto.
This is a good way to navigate the city. Between both routes you can get to most of the cities sites. This is not for those who want a comprehensive guide of the city. The audio guide was mediocre at best. It worked for us, but we had no expectations of a fantastic tour.
Tiago gave us all the infos we needed for a perfekt sight seeing day.
Great way to explore Porto with the option of hop on and hop off. Plus several tour options depending on the ticket you purchase
It was an excellent experience, amazing service! It improved my experience in porto and made everything easier. Thanks to the worker Lucas!
Daniela has explained very good everything and is very pestle
Daniela was very lively, offered us very good information and nice tips for visiting and shopping.
Tiago V. Was an excellent operator, he helped us map out exactly what we wanted. He was a very big help and why we bought our tickets.
Thiago and Nadia gave us fantastic recommendations!!
Daniella is very good at how she explains everything in detail
Staff not friendly, expensive, long waiting times for the busses
Tiago was incredibly helpful, friendly, and pleasant. He actively thought along, gave clear explanations, and even shared extra tips that were truly valuable. A great experience from start to finish.
We booked this as liked the idea of the night tour. Porto is so hilly and hot its a good way to explore. But as the night tour is only included in the 48hr one we had to pay the little extra for that even thought we didn't need 2 days. Booking was easy as there are plenty of sellers in Porto. Problems started when we got on the bus, the QR code didn't scan. The driver gave up and tried to wave us on the bus without giving us a ticket, that meant we would not be able to hop-on-hop-off, we insisted and got one in the end. The buses are supposed to be every 20mins, they weren't! we got off near the beach for 20mins but it was another 45mins before another bus came so lost time on our last day and meant when we got back to the start the bus finished for the evening and we had to walk across town back to where we started. We were told a few times the night tour was 1 hour, it lasted 40 mins so a little disappointed as that was our main reason for booking.
Tiago V was very helpful to our family explaining all the routes and showing us where to get off.He was very friendly and informative
