In this square you will be able to see the beautiful 17th century Misericórdia Church, the City Hall, the city Theater and the statue of the famous José Estevão, an important politician from Aveiro.
In this square you can see the former Convent of the Discalced Carmelites, the Aveiro Courthouse, the former Civil Government building and the beautiful Casa de Santa Zita.
Here you can see the Old Fish Market, an Art Nouveau building built in 1904 and designed by the school of Gustave Eiffel. We'll also enter the Bairro da Beira-mar, a picturesque old neighborhood of fishermen and men who worked in the salt pans. We will also see the beautiful Chapel of S. Gonçalinho, the patron saint of this neighborhood.
You will have the opportunity to take a moliceiro/mercantel boat tour on the beautiful canals of the Ria de Aveiro. Get lost in the beauty of the buildings, the salt pans and the old Campos Ceramics Factory.

Rosanna was a terrific guide. It was just the three of us in our group. We saw much of the city by foot. Very flat area for walking and lots of parking nearby the canals. The canal cruise was also excellent. Would highly recommend this walking tour/sweets tasting/canal cruise.

5 excellent tour guide Very informative
Our Aveiro tour has been my favorite in Portugal so far. Our tour guide Rossana was extremely professional and gave an engaging and informative tour which included our children. She even brought them a bag of goodies at the start. We loved all the stops, especially the ovos moles shop. She dropped us off for the boat tour at the end, which repeated some of the information but not in a detailed way.
Antonio was a fantastic, knowledgeable guide! He gave us the history and showed us some of the best sights in Aviero.

Rossana was an engaging and informative local guide for the walking tour. Great experience! Boat tour was also great although the guide was trying to cover Spanish, English and Portuguese which meant very fast talking and sometimes a delay in knowing what to look for.

Nice walking tour and boat ride
Rossana was an excellent guide in Aveiro. The meeting spot was straightforward and easy to find, and our group was small. Rossana was very considerate of my mobility issue as we navigated cobblestones and stairs. The tour was very interesting as Rossana shared insights, details and historical background to the various locations we visited. The boat ride at the end, was fun and a perfect way to complete the tour. Finally, Rossana’s restaurant suggestion was delicious! The tour was a great way to explore Aveiro in a short time.

Nadia gave us a great walking tour. Turned out we had her all to ourselves as we were the only ones booked for the tour. Aveiro is Nadia’s home so her wealth of knowledge was appreciated and evident. She even offered to help us in other ways if needed and told us to reach out if we had questions. Highly recommend her. Antonio was our guide. Turned out to be a private tour just me and my husband. He couldn’t have been nicer. Very knowledgeable about Aveiro. Told us things about the painting of the canal boats that wasn’t talked about on the included boat tour. He gave us ribbons to tie on the bridge. We were able to contact him after the tour because we had forgotten where a particular restaurant was. I’d recommend this tour to anyone visiting Aveiro. It’s a small town with a lot of history.

We decided last minute to take a day trip from Porto to Aveiro and after a quick search, found this tour available for the afternoon. Rossana contacted me through WhatsApp right away with clear directions and a link to the meeting place. She was very personable and knowledgeable and we had a wonderful day learning about the history of Aveiro. The quick boat tour was a nice addition. It was a concise introduction to the city that hit a lot of highlights.
Antonio is a great guide. Lots of fun facts about Aveiro and had a nice walk. Boat trip was fun but the English of the guide was virtually unintelligible. After 10 sentences of Portuguese, English was dismissed by 1 sentence. It's too bad.
Wonderful tour of Aveiro, António told us the history and curiosities of Aveiro in a very pleasant and friendly way, taking a very complete walk along both banks, we tried the ovos moles at the oldest pastry shop. Afterwards, the moliceiro tour with Alex was also very pleasant and fun.

Well structured tour because it encompasses everything most typical and curious of Aveiro, the very friendly guide, made it very enjoyable but in my opinion, since I did not speak Spanish perfectly I struggled to understand him sometimes, I wish he did not speak so quickly to have better understood all the explanations. We still came away very happy.
