I had a great stay from start to finish. The reservation process was easy, and both check-in and check-out were quick and hassle-free. The room was perfect, and the breakfast was amazing, with a great selection of delicious options. The staff were outstanding. I'm sorry I can't remember everyone's names, but Beatriz Marçal was especially amazing. She was friendly, professional, and made my stay even more enjoyable.
Wow, the best spa treatments we’ve ever received. We both had the Male Refuge treatments - worth every penny. Our therapists were amazing. Would go again if we find ourself in Porto in the future
Had a great stay at Porto Palácio! It’s one of those classic, old-school hotels with a lot of character and charm — you can feel the history in the place. It’s a bit outside the city centre but that really wasn’t an issue, easy to get around from there. Rooms are spacious, the service is excellent, and the overall experience felt very refined. A solid choice if you want something with more soul than a modern chain hotel.
I really enjoyed staying a little further out from the old town. The hotel staff were friendly and the rooftop bar was good. Downstairs bar would play sport of your choice. Room run a little hot for our liking (22c) even with the AC on full blast. Late checkout was given until 1pm. We were willing to pay until 7pm but they couldn’t even give a price. I asked to extend the stay by 1 night, but was told that’s not possible and I’d need to book another night online and then hope to connect the current booking. Great if you want to relax away from the busyness, Sixt rental next door along with a Pingo Doce supermarket.
We stayed at the Porto Palácio Hotel by The Editory for a short break and overall had a good experience. The hotel itself is clean, modern, and what you would expect from a 5-star setting. The rooms are well presented and comfortable. We did experience a few teething issues during our stay, but these were swiftly addressed by customer relations, particularly Beatriz, who handled everything in a very professional and efficient manner. Her response really made a difference to our overall experience. With a hotel of this size, it’s understandable that occasional issues can arise, but what matters is how they are handled — and in our case, this was done very well. Overall, a good stay with strong customer service, and we would consider returning.
