Oporto Street Das Aldas - River View

This was such an incredible find. It’s at the top of the hill so be ready to climb but worth it. Incredible views of the river and the city. Spacious and very comfortable. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

Spent a few nights here before starting out Portuguese Camino so great to be so close to Porto Cathedral. Location to wonderful sites of Porto also a bonus. The apartment was spacious and very comfortable.

I have booked 5 nights. This is my 4th night. The room is spacious but it got a bad smell (is that because it is a basement room, I don't know). Every time I returned I had to leave the door open for a while to let out the smell. The biggest problem I encountered was lack of service. I had to ask for clean towels, hair dryer, coffee pods. The receptionist only works during the day. If i left early in the morning and returned in the evening, I had nobody to ask. This evening, I came back, as always, no cleaning, no refill of coffee pods, and worst of all, I was out of toilet paper. I have also used up the last clean towel. When I stayed in a hostel in Lisbon, the bathroom was cleaned every day. This total lack of service and failure to replenish supply is not acceptable. I gave a 2 star solely based on the excellent location. The receptionist, though not capable of English communication, had a good attitude, but no matter how nice they are, they fail to perform essential service to the guest.

Lovely apartment in a very old and narrow (and gorgeous) street of Porto. According to the host, it was the first street in Porto that had a name. The view from our apartment was amazing, the hosts were attentive and kind, the apartment itself was clean and well equipped. The location is very central and (once you got used to the maze-like streets) you'll quickly get to lots of nice places. Highly recommended!
