Recently stayed here for 3 nights - would definitely return.
Staff were so attentive and helpful, hotel facilities & rooms were very clean and modern. We had the standard double room, it was spacious & had everything you need for a city break.
The pool & terrace were a perfect spot for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. We enjoyed the happy hour between 4pm - 7pm, where you could get cocktails, beers & wines at great prices!
The location is excellent, so many sights & things to do nearby.
Would definitely recommend!
We had a great few days at the Mercure Porto Centro Aliados, the hotel smelt amazing on walking in, it was extremely clean and the rooms were immaculate. The pool area was lovely and relaxed and the waiting staff couldn't do enough. It is very central to all areas of Porto. We went as a group to celebrate a 40th birthday and would definitely stay again. Loved it!
Really cute and lovely hotel in the city center. Great service and nice staff too. I don’t know how they manage to keep the pool/courtyard so quiet in such a busy neighborhood - that part was really special! The only complaint I have is that the rooms didn’t have conditioner or body lotion. Only shampoo, soap and body wash. The “privileged” rooms have these but not all. A hotel this nice should have all basic amenities like that for all rooms.
After a busy day in a busy city, coming into the hotel you feel like you can just wind down especially with the green space but be aware of your pool chair, the old lady cliques will swoop in, steal it, then claim it like a seagull stealing a french fry. The hotel is very central and easy to walk any where and the entrance/exit feels safe. Very kind/happy/helpful & welcoming staff. Breakfast was convenient & alright with a variety for dietary restrictions. Very intelligent modern room designs with the windows open-ac turns off, windows closed-ac turns back on and the windows and balcony doors are quite soundproof. The gym has a cable machine which is all you really need. Alot of elderly guests here, you know there are alot of brits staying here just by looking at the beans bowl and how often they replenish it. They hotel is super clean & tidy & again fantastic cheerful staff.
Really enjoyed our stay. Hotel is well located for all the sights of Porto, staff are super friendly and helpful and the room was well equipped and very quiet from both internal and external noise.
Nice external areas for a drink and relax and the hotel is like a little haven from the hustle and bustle of Porto. Would definitely recommend.
