Everything about our stay at the Infante Sagres Porto hotel was fabulous! The hotel itself is gorgeous, as many reviews have noted, and the location is fantastic. The rooms are generously sized and extremely comfortable. We had a very nice, quiet room with an extremely comfortable bed. The hotel also has a wonderful plunge pool which was perfect after a hot day of touring. The location can’t be beat! It is very centrally located and we walked everywhere. Most notably, the hotel staff go above and beyond to meet the guests’ needs. The manager and front desk staff were welcoming, accommodating, and very efficient. The true star was the concierge who worked very hard to adjust our dinner reservations due to unexpected street closures for a citywide airshow. Outstanding service! The hotel will be even better after the current renovations, and I highly recommend it!

Loved my stay here! The hotel itself is gorgeous, with a great bar and breakfast. It’s in the city center, so you can walk and explore all of Porto easily when staying here. Concierge was very kind and helpful in recommending what to do, see, and eat in Porto.
A real five star experience. Hotel is unique and beautiful. Rooms are large and well appointed. Staff is amazing; among the best we have enjoyed anywhere. Location is very convenient and central to everything. Highly recommend.
This does not feel like a five-star hotel. The only consistently strong part of the experience was the bell staff, along with the front door and elevator attendants, who were excellent throughout our stay. Unfortunately, the front desk staff during check-in were slow, disorganized, and ultimately unhelpful. We specifically booked and prepaid for an additional night before our arrival solely to guarantee early check-in after an overnight flight. However, when we arrived, we were informed that the hotel had canceled that reservation. It then took roughly 30 minutes for the staff to investigate the issue, after which we were told they would “expedite” cleaning our room and that it would be ready in about half an hour. In reality, we waited another hour and a half. What was especially frustrating was that there was no proactive reassurance that we would not be charged for the canceled night. I had to raise the issue myself later, after the hotel called to ask how our stay was going. Had I not done so, it seems entirely possible the hotel would have collected payment both from us and from whoever else they sold the room to that night. Bring a flashlight — the rooms are surprisingly dark at night, even with every light turned on. The soundproofing is also practically nonexistent. We could clearly hear other guests late at night having sex, to the point where it sounded like they were either right outside our door or in our room!
Although the weather was less than perfect during our 4 day stay in Porto (it had been raining for weeks), it didn't dampen our enthusiasm for the city and this delightful hotel. We could't have been happier with the central location, the historic charm and the wonderful service. Our room had a great view over the city and was modern and unique. Service was excellent at check in, breakfast and throughout our stay. We were always warmly greeted by the doorman upon our return to the hotel. Breakfast was served in a beautifully decorated room with lovely chandeliers and a wide range of fresh breakfast delights. We booked through Amex Plat and were able to enjoy a wonderful dinner at the onsite restuarant Scarlett with our credit. I'd highly recommend this hotel to those looking for a unique, convenient and upscale choice in lovely Porto.
