Disappointing experience for a supposed 5-star hotel Unfortunately, our stay at Eurostars Aliados was extremely disappointing, particularly considering this is advertised as a five-star hotel. The hotel itself is well located and attractive, but the level of service simply did not match a five-star standard. Our room was not cleaned until around 5:00 pm. When housekeeping eventually came, they failed to replace the towels or leave toilet paper. After we complained, the cleaner returned with two towels, but still no hand towels, no bath mat and, incredibly, still no toilet paper credibly, still no toilet paper. We were also surprised to discover that the hotel’s laundry service does not operate at weekends. When I explained to reception that I would expect a five-star hotel to find an alternative solution—such as arranging an external laundry service- which after talking to the manager was done. For me, five-star hospitality isn’t just about an attractive building, spa or good location. It’s about service, attention to detail and solving problems for guests. Unfortunately, that was exactly what was missing here. It wasn’t one major incident that spoiled the experience, but a succession of basic service failures and a general feeling that nobody was particularly interested in putting things right. A great location, but based on our experience, certainly not the level of service we expected from a five-star hotel.

We enjoyed our three-day stay in this hotel. It's the perfect location to explore Porto's sights and restaurants. Our check-in was a delight. The front desk agent took immense pains to highlight restaurants and things to explore on a map - we referred to it often. Our Deluxe Room was large and comfortable - with enough space for luggage and a spacious bathroom. The breakfast buffet was done very well - enough variety to suit everyone with good service so you're not waiting for your coffee refill. It was busy when the hotel had a large group staying but never too crowded. We were slightly disappointed in the lobby bar as it was understaffed during our visit. Several times there was no-one at the bar, even though there were a few of us waiting to get a drink or to pay our bills.
An Exceptional Stay We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel and were impressed from the moment we arrived. The location is fantastic and makes it very convenient to enjoy the surrounding area. Our room was spacious, beautifully maintained, spotlessly clean, and extremely comfortable. The breakfast was another highlight — delicious, fresh, and with an excellent variety of options to choose from. The hotel spa was simply outstanding! It was beautifully designed, relaxing, and incredibly indulgent. It added a special touch to our stay and was the perfect place to unwind. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and couldn’t have asked for more. We would definitely return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, relaxing, and memorable stay.
We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. Its location is excellent, just a short walk from the metro station and surrounded by many great restaurants, making it very convenient to explore the city. We would especially like to highlight the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. Everyone was welcoming, helpful, and always willing to assist us. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and well maintained, which made our stay even more enjoyable. One area for improvement would be the towels, as some of them were torn and could be replaced to better match the overall quality of the hotel. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend this hotel.
We had a pleasant stay at Eurostars Aliados in Porto. The hotel's greatest strength is its central location – most of the city's main attractions, restaurants and cafés are within easy walking distance, making it an excellent base for exploring Porto on foot. The room was spacious, very clean and equipped with all the amenities you would expect. A particular highlight was the large in-room safe, which was spacious enough to accommodate larger valuables. However, the service did not meet the standard one would expect from a five-star hotel. The room was also not particularly well soundproofed and traffic noise from the street was clearly noticeable at times, which occasionally affected our sleep. In addition, the hotel has only two elevators, often resulting in long waiting times. On several occasions we chose to use the stairs instead. The breakfast offered the usual selection, but the quality also fell short of what you would expect from a five-star property. Overall, Eurostars Aliados is a good hotel with an excellent location and spacious, comfortable rooms. However, the overall experience is more in line with that of a four-star hotel rather than a true five-star property.
