A beautiful little gem of a hotel - lovely views - very quiet - the staff is excellent - very attentive - the breakfasts are wonderful and they do a great cheese plate! Spotlessly clean - great linens - we had the garden view room on the second floor - I would venture that this and the third floor garden view are best rooms! Lucky us! I would go back in a minute!
Sadly, my wife and I are on our last night of a six night stay. The hotel is perfect and in a great location but the best part is the staff. They are all so nice and welcoming and work hard at every moment. The breakfast offerings are super fresh and sourced daily at local markets and bakeries. We will definitely recommend this hotel to everyone we know who travels to Porto!
What a wonderful 5 night stay at Canto de Luz! We stayed in a City Room on the first floor which was beautifully appointed - the little black make-up towel in the bathroom is a very clever addition! Despite facing the street, we slept well with no noise heard and the shutters keeping the light out. Everything about this hotel is perfect, from the delicious and varied breakfast, and access to the wine machine, to the stunning design of the inside and outside spaces. A dip in the pool was a treat after a day of exploring and we mostly had it to ourselves. What also sets this hotel apart from others is the staff who were, without exception, welcoming, friendly and very helpful. And all in a fabulous location within walking distance to Porto's main attractions and some gorgeous bars and restaurants. Thank you - we hope to stay at one of your other hotels in the future! 🥂 🙂
We stayed here with two small chidren on the top floor overlooking the garden space. Hotel was very clean, luxurious, boutique feel in middle of the city (great location!) but was quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was freshly made each day while you watch the cooks make it with fresh ingredients. The staff had great recommendations and would highly recommend this beatiful boutique hotel!
This property is amazing. My family of 4 stayed in the two bedroom apartment and it was outstanding. It had everything we needed and more - including a washer and dryer, a popcorn machine, an x box for the kids, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a little patio… it was so incredibly nice. The staff was welcoming and so friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel. It’s in a great location, walking distance to everything. And the value was great. If we come back to Porto, we will absolutely stay here again.
