Ac Hotel Porto By Marriott

The hotel is next to a mall, and down the hill (and up another with a lot of stairs) from the Football stadium. There is a metro station 15-20 min walk, but otherwise you must uber to anywhere historical of Porto. Location is industrial and not walkable. Rooms are small and bare. Upgrade had a small living room, but lacked warmth. Rooms did have a mini fridge. Bathroom sinks were clear, so it was odd looking through to pipes and floor. I'd never stay stay there! Much better uses for Marriott points and your money.

I stay at Marriotts a lot and almost exclusively. I’m familiar with most of their brands and what to expect. This AC was a stand out. Professionally run and very attentive on services which is always important for me.

I am very disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The room was extremely dusty — it honestly felt like entering an old house that had been closed for years. The air and furniture did not feel clean at all. The room was also very noisy, which made it difficult to relax or sleep properly. Another disappointing point is that the hotel does not even provide basic room slippers, which is something expected for this level of hotel. What shocked me the most was that housekeeping entered my room without permission. This made me feel very uncomfortable and showed a lack of respect for guest privacy. Overall, I did not enjoy my experience here and would not choose to stay at this hotel again.

Awesome stay. Clean rooms. Quiet. There’s a soccer stadium and a mall right next to it so there’s definitely some place for you to walk and explore. It’s close to the train station. However, if you plan to walk up to the hotel, there’s a gruelling slope that you need to pass through so walking is not recommended if you have heavy luggage.
