Ram our taxi driver was very attentive and keen to take pictures for us at each place we visited. Nothing was too much trouble and he provided us with a lot of information. A very enjoyable day out.

I did both the north and south tour on separate days and both were great. Definitely more traffic congestion in the north but the trip is still definitely worth it! The guide (kawshik) was really helpful, friendly and professional with great knowledge of the area. The time in each stop was as advertised and my favourites were the quick beach stops which were absolutely stunning and would give you a good idea if you wanted to go back separately to those areas another time as only 15mins or so at each one but this was perfect to fit everything in during the day.

Sahil was a fantastic guide. Good value for money trip. Recommended to see the North of the Island.

We were picked up from our hotel and taken around the north of the island to the various main attractions and beaches - it was a fantastic experience with our driver who was knowledgeable, friendly and funny and more than happy to alter the itinerary to suit our needs with our young daughter. Highly recommend!

We had a very pleasant trip of the North, including the botanical garden, market, fort & a lovely lunch venue and clean vehicle. The guide was very informative and engaging. On time collection and friendly engagement.

Once again we used chunky taxis. They are very reasonable in price. We had Sahil as our driver and guide. So much knowledge and friendly person. The beaches are stunning. Port Louis was great for souvenirs without getting ripped off. Highly recommend using this company. Safe, friendly and clean. What more do you need!

We explored the north of Mauritius today and had a truly fantastic guide in Mervin. He was extremely attentive, funny, knowledgeable, and patiently answered all of our questions. From the famous red church in Cap Malheureux and two beautiful beaches to the botanical garden with its impressive giant water lilies, the Craft Market, a delicious lunch, and a fantastic viewpoint overlooking Port Louis, we experienced an incredible amount in just one day. We also visited the former residence of an ambassador, surrounded by a wonderful garden where we could see giant tortoises. The best part: Mervin always knew exactly where we to stop, get out, and enjoy each place without wasting time searching for parking. The botanical garden was a real highlight, and the Craft Market was also great to visit, although visitors should probably expect more souvenirs than bargain deals. Overall, it was a perfectly organized, varied, and entertaining day. Thank you, Mervin, we had a wonderful time and can highly recommend this tour!

Communication prior to our pickup from our driver, Yassin, was very good. During the tour, he gave us lots of interesting information about the island snd was very flexible with our itinerary. We didn't do the rumery, through choice, and would probably give the botanic gardens a miss if we were to book again. That said, it was an all round good value for money trip 👍

Excellent day trip as part of our honeymoon in Mauritius. Really enjoyable tour of the north of the island, see lovely beaches, the waterfront market in Port Louis, the botanical gardens, plus the beautiful Chateau de Labourdonnis with rum tasting to round of the day. Our host was Sailend. He collected us at our hotel, on time and was thoroughly gracious and kind host throughout the day. He gave us good insights into the island, and various places where we visited. Recommended day trip and lovely to get out and about in the beautiful island. Special mention to the providers of this trip. Our first booking was cancelled due to the civil unrest. They organised a full refund quickly and then we were able to rebook once things had calmed down. Thank you

Great tour which covered all the main attractions in the North. Our guide Ankush was very informative and helpful; we had a brief history of Mauritius at the beginning and he threw in lots of snippets of information throughout the day. We had plenty of time at each stop and lunch was great. Overall good value for money, would definitely recommend.

I'm not one for writing a review but had to give these guys the credit they deserve. Booking via Viator was simple. Our driver and car details were made known to us the night before. We were picked up from our resort in the south dead on time and did the full private north tour. Our driver, Mervin, was brilliant. He gave us the history of the island as we made our way up north and answered any other questions we had. We did the usual tourist stops but flexed the itinerary to allow more time in the botanical gardens. Mervin was happy to park up and take a few photos of us at the local places of interest. Even made time for a quick dahl puri stop. Delicious. Overall the tour was certainly value for money. I would thoroughly recommend Chucky Taxi and ask for Mervin if he's available.

We had Mervin as our driver and we had to BEST day ever! It was so much fun and Mervin told us all the history as we were driving around, pointing out so much, showed us all around Port Louis craft market and showed us the best stops, would drop off our right outside where we needed to be and then would pick us up right outside! He was so much fun, and it was a very memorable and enjoyable day, would 100% recommend and try and ask for Mervin!! He was truley amazing and made the day amazing

Thank you for an absolutely lovely day, Sail.endwas an absolute gentleman and tailored the day bespoke to our needs. We weren't hungry and so We didn't want to go for something to eat. So he tailored the day accordingly. He was always there ready and waiting for us whether we were late or early back to the car after the time described. Great day out saw plenty Devlin was our driver and takes you to lots of places. The main capital the north. The little church. Botanical gardens and to tortoises 🐢. Fantastic day and driver. Informative and would recommend. Also there was a chateau and rum tasting great 👍🏻

Nice relaxing walk through botanical gardens and the big house, 3 Beaches ⛱️ Nice taste of what is around Port Louis. Craft market was good. People were very helpful. Chucky our tour taxi driver was very knowledgeable and very flexible for any changes we would like to make to our tour. You are given time at each visit to go round by yourself. Chucky picked us up at hotel and brought us back to the hotel. Chucky also pointed out places of interest and viewpoints. Chucky also explained what our tour would look like by explaining the run down of the tour from first stop to the last stop. This tour would not have been enjoyable if it had been raining. Chucky was an amazing tour guide! He was always on time, very respectful, had a clean car and knew a lot about the island! I travelled solo and he made me feel very comfortable and safe. I recommend everyone to do this tour with him! The tour is comprehensive and provides a good glimpse of the island! The scenery was amazing, I spent the ride looking at the mountains and of my! the water is soooo blue and beautiful!

IWe enjoyed our trip round the north part of the lsland. The beaches are beautiful in the North and we enjoyed the Botanical Garden. Having done a lot of traveling, I'm not sure Mauritius has the most stunning sights. However, the tour delivered what it promised and Kawasaki made it an informative, enjoyable day out .

Had the absolute best day exploring the North! 🇲🇺🌴 Our guide, Mervin, was a total legend from start to finish. He was super attentive, fun to chat with, and seriously knows his stuff about Mauritian history and culture. He kept us entertained with so many stories the whole day. One of the coolest parts was when he took us to this awesome hidden gem for lunch, totally off the tourist track and packed with locals. We also did a quick detour into the city center to grab some famous Dholl Puri (kind of like a savory pancake filled with curry), and it was incredible! Mervin's recommendation was 10/10, and getting to experience that real, authentic local vibe is something we won't forget. If you're thinking about booking this, just do it!

Great trip! We had a very knowledge guide in Kauwshik. He told us a lot about the islands history including every location we stopped at. He didn’t rush us and made visiting each location very easy! Overall we left very happy

We really enjoyed this tour it was great fun and our driver was very knowledgeable and friendly. The garden does require some walking so wear comfortable shoes and bring some water. Overall highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy the key sites for the North.

Our driver was superb and extremely knowledgable. The trip was full on but without pressure to rush from one place to another.

Interesting to see the northern part of the island, but we preferred the south.

We had a lovely day spent with Rajesh. He was punctual and car was very clean. The tour was on a Sunday so a couple of the activities weren’t open but that was ok. Also the rum tasting was not running due to them not having a license but it didn’t spoil the day. He gave great info about the island and dropped us y to I the door of every stop. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this tour and Rajesh.

North Mauritius has beautiful beaches, a colonial house & rhumerie and the botanical garden.. all worth visiting!! Chucky was a great driver and guide .. we had a great day!

It was great tour with a lot of activities. The guide was very nice and showed us nice places. I recommend this tour.

We visited the Citadel and saw the horse racing track. We then went on to the Waterfront where we had some retail therapy. There are historical places to visit also. Finally we visited the Pampamousses Botanical Gardens and this was an hour spent in a luxurious natural paradise. Flora and fauna all around.

Great tour of the northern part of Mauritius! We got to see all the major sights and our guide Sailen provided interesting information throughout the trip.

Well worth the money for a full day of taxi rides to the sights. You can sort of tailor itinerary a bit if you want to. It was nice visiting the colonial house, The Domaine de Labourdonnais. It has been very well restored from wood mites and water damage. There was supposed to be a rum tasting tour included with our entry ticket but we were told on entry that it wouldn't be happening that day. We asked for an explanation but the lady didn't really give one. Our last stop was at the waterfront at Port Louis which is a mixture of shops and restaurants and nice to while away a couple of hour's. We left there at about half past 4 and unfortunately we were caught in traffic and it took us over 2hrs to get back to our hotel that should have been about 45 minutes away so beware of that.

Chucky was a great driver / guide. Arrival times and arrangements were communicated in advance so there were no concerns about getting in the wrong vehicle or approaching the wrong guide. He showed us how best to visit each of the stops and make the most of our time at each location. Driving was safe and the vehicle was in perfect condition. Recommended for anyone who wants to tour Mauritius!

A great day out. We had plenty of time to explore each activity before moving on to the next one. Beni was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and delighted us with the history of Mauritius. We picked up some bargains from the market and had a lovely walk around the botanical gardens and saw the giant tortoises. Cap Malheureaux Church was beautiful and we stopped to take photos of Grand Baie beach. Chateaux de Labourdonais was a colonial house where you could taste the varieties of rum. Well worth the money.

Great tour showcasing the north of Mauritius. Rajesh was a wonderful guide. Such a pleasant aba modest person.i would highly recommend doing this tour especially with him particularly as a woman travelling alone. I blocked my face in the photo as I value my privacy but rest assured that I took the selfie, although Rajesh was always happy to help out with taking my photos too.
