Lakeside Hotel Plitvice

We originally booked just one night and had another place reserved for the next day, but once we arrived, we loved it here so much that we wanted to stay an extra night and found a way to change our plans! The grounds are huge and beautiful, and the owner is beautiful and incredibly welcoming. A special thank-you to staff member Biswash, who was so helpful. Right from the start, he walked us to our room otherwise I might get lost. When he found out we were celebrating a birthday, he arranged a surprise cake with the kitchen. When the hot water in our room was too hot, Biswash came and adjusted it, fixing the problem right away. Professional,sweet and so thoughtful! If you’re visiting Plitvice Lakes National Park, you absolutely have to stay here. Highly recommended! (Photos to follow later.)

Beautiful cozy room and helpful staff. Location is perfect for the lake, just few minutes walk. The facility is nice and amazing for children. The best part is the restaurant is available till 23:00, it saves the late check in customer. The last but not least, Biswash provides great service and helps us a lot. 超棒的飯店，推薦給我的台灣朋友們！

Booked and prepaid for 3 rooms through Expedia weeks ahead. Arrived at hotel night of and reception acknowledged they received the reservation, but that they gave our rooms away accidentally and had only 1 room left for 5 people. After scrambling to find another hotel for the night, we contacted Expedia for a refund and they kept trying to reach the hotel to approve the refund but nobody would pick up. Wouldn’t stay again and wouldn’t recommend it.

We visited the third week in August. Wonderful staff and great room! We got an unexpected upgrade as a suite with Jacuzzi on the porch. The beds were very comfy, also the bed sofa. The rooms are situated in several lodges. Peaceful surroundings. The grounds were beautiful, with a lot of activities available (which we unfortunately didn't have the time to explore). The restaurant served tasty meals with seasonal Croatianal food among other dishes. The breakfast had a wide variety of options (cinnamon bread, French toast, avocado spread, artichoke, eggs, yoghurt, nuts, dried cherries, coffee, tea, juices and a lot more). The staff helped us making choices on how and when to enter the park. We had prepurchased the tickets to the park (works with either to entrance 1 or 2). We entered the park via entrance 3 (unofficial), 7 min from the hotel. There we took trail H, starting with the first boat tour for the day (at 8.15 after which it departs every 30 minutes). After arriving at P2 with the boat we hiked upwards through the Upper lakes. At ST3 we took a break and continued trail H above the Upper lakes and down, back to ST3. Including the extra 1,7 km trail by the viewpoint, which is a part of trail K (height 70 m, took about 30 min for us). Really nice! From ST3 the bus took us to ST1, where we had a sandwich and icecream. From there we took trail B through the Lower lakes and the Big waterfall. Very nice surroundings, but a bit crowded. Remember water and good shoes! All of this took us seven hours to complete. Nice weather, rain was expected, but only a few drops fell. A bit cloudy, which was great so it didn't get too hot, was about 25-27 degrees.
