Raya Island / Mai Ton Island Private Boat Tour

We booked a private boat and diving tour and had an absolutely wonderful experience. Our guide was fantastic, and the whole team was friendly and professional, taking great care of us from beginning to end. Everything was very well organised, the boat and equipment were in excellent condition, and we felt completely safe and relaxed throughout the trip. It was our son's first time diving, and he absolutely loved it! The guide made him feel comfortable and confident, which made the experience even more special for us. We dived at several spots, and one highlight was seeing the underwater sculptures teeming with marine life – such a unique experience! A beautiful day, a wonderful crew, and definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommended!

We had the best time with 5 star marine!! There was a group of 5 of us, and we said we don’t like over crowded places we love to snorkel and they provided exactly this even though it’s high season we went to one spot where it was just us!! The biggest plus for us is whilst we have been in Thailand my dad took a fall and has been on crutches with a suspected broken bone in his knee. The crew looked after him the whole time and even got him in and out of the sea so he didn’t miss out which we didn’t expect him to be able to do! The crew made the whole trip for us and it was our favourite day of the whole holiday! It was completely personalised and was even down to us when we came back. Thank you so much for the best day!

Great experience, headed to Maiton island first, had very good and long snorkeling, 5 Star boat was first to arrive in a beautiful bay, and the closest one. Then went to Ko He, the Coral island, where we had snorkeling over lots of corals. To round up the experience finished on the gorgeous Banana Beach, soft white sand and clear waters, where we relaxed and also spotted corals in shallow waters, and many colored fishes. The team was top all the time, with our guide sexy Billy as main character. It was enjoyable and yet very professional. The private tour gave us the total freedom we looked for. We had a great day with the family going to Racha Noi and Maiton. Team at 5 Star was very attentive and friendly, Captain handled the waves on the way out perfectly. Fresh frukt served onboard and they had booked a table for us at a restaurant. Thanks for a great day!

It was an amazing experience! The crew was incredibly professional and flexible with our wishes. One piece of advice: don’t hesitate to start early in the morning. Our taxi picked us up at 6:30 from our hotel in Surin, and we were the first people at the first two snorkeling spots. The fish seemed to be waiting just for us! It wasn’t the cheapest way to visit the islands, but after that day, it was absolutely worth it. What a great experience—thanks again!

We had an absolutely fantastic trip. The guide was so sweet, and vas very good ant talking English. He told us a lot about the things we saw on the way. We event to Raya Iceland first, and were one of the first people there. It was amazing. After that we had two great snorkel trips, one with lots of jellyfish, but that was also an experience. And then we were extremely lucky to see dolphins, which was one of our biggest wishes. The restaurant was also a great experience. In addition, we would like to send a huge thank you to the incredibly skilled captain, who led us safely and expertly through the somewhat wild water. Just a huge thank you from the bottom of our hearts for a wonderful and completely unforgettable trip.

We did the Racha Island Tour with 7 adults and 1 child, and it was an absolutely wonderful day! Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish, and the whole experience was amazing. The boat crew was fantastic super friendly, helpful, and made sure everyone had a great time. We had so much fun and truly enjoyed every moment. A perfect day and highly recommended! 🌞⚓️

We had such an amazing day!! 5 Star Marine were so great with communication throughout the whole experience and leading up to our day. We were nervous as we were coming to Phuket in May and were worried about the weather but that did not make a difference in our great experience. Or was beautiful weather, Nook our travel guide was exceptional, we even asked for the best Thai cuisines which she gladly gave us several restaurant recommendations. I highly recommend booking a private boat tour with 5 Star Marine.

From my very first nesssge to Shaun and his team the service was nothing short of outstanding. Messages were always promptly replied to. The tour itself was spectacular. The staff onboard were so accommodating and knowledgeable. They made my Birthday Celebration fantastic fun for all of us and I can’t thank them all enough 😊

Firstly, I discovered this company thru YouTube when I was searching about snorkeling experiences in Phuket. From the moment I came across Shaun and Jay's videos in YT I knew I'd want to engage them for our special occasion. They did not disappoint. They are as candid yet professional on screen as they are, off screen. Shaun was so helpful from the get-go with my endless enquiries right up till our arrival at the jetty. Although he wasn't around, his crew and team provided us with a UNIFIED experience which is so so important. I believe it's worth paying the premium with them because of this. Nothing felt broken, everyone has the same customer experience standard and it all felt like one complete customer experience. We chose to spend our 10th year wedding anniversary snorkeling with 5 Star and specifically asked for a quieter time on the islands and that's what we got. The boat was extremely clean and fantastic, I was surprised that there was a toilet onboard and that helped me a ton. They provided drinks and fruits and ensured I never went thirsty. Haris from the crew got into the waters with us to guide us on where to snorkel and where are off limits and we found that very assuring. The program itself was wonderful. I only wished the 2nd stop (Racha Yai) was shortened once I saw the throngs of people at the snorkeling spot - not 5 Star's fault - it is what it is. The waters there are choppier so I got a bit sick after snorkeling there. Plus there were too many Chinese tourists with us and that made me very upset as they got on our boat as well to jump off into the water from or to just chill on!!! This is a case of personal ethics on the tourists' part but the crew onboard 5 Star's Lisa 8 saw my displeasure and helped fob off the intruders very quickly. Thank you for protecting our peace and experience, guys. Lastly, to cap off the wonderful day we headed to Mai Ton island and the snorkeling there was peaceful, calm and exactly how we'd like to end the day. A caveat about Thai snorkeling; Being a Singaporean who's first snorkeling experience was Malaysia, I must say that the corals in the Racha and Mai Ton islands aren't as colourful and vivid as Tioman, but the variety of fish we got to see made up for that. I even spotted an eel! We saw so many fishes but if you're looking for colourful, vivid, arresting coral structures then Racha and Mai Ton may not be the place. Overall, it was a wonderful experience with the best team to support that.

My wife and I ave just returned from a 3 week holiday in Phuket and we always do at least 1 trip with 5 star as they are the best by far. Shaun and his team are always amazing and always give a perfect service with a great trip. This time it was only the two of us on our boat and we went to honeymoon island for snorkelling then off to rhaya island and just relaxed as that’s what we asked for. Our guide this time was June and ad always with 5 star he was amazing. We have now done most trips with 5 star and are now starting the list of tours for the second time. The one thing that really stands out with all the tour guides is how much they all love working for 5 star and everyone we have had over the years always say what a great boss Shaun is. See you in December when we are returning

A great tour - very well organised and flexible to what you want to do. The water was crystal clear for snorkelling with lots to see. Communication with the company from booking to before the tour was also first class.

Thank you so much to the 5 Star Marine Team! Especially our crew 1. captain- who always was smiley and kept us save and secure! To our 2. great skipper who also was super friendly and helpful and walked up with us to the view point, making sure we were all save and snake free;) And of course Jessica who looked after us in the best ways possible! We always had something to drink and fruits. She always had an open ear for us, looked after us while we went snorkling and made sure there was some shade so we didnt burn in the sun;) and all this with a beautiful smile! The tour itself was greatly organised. We left early enough so we were the only ones at the snorkling places, we saw so many beautiful sea life and amazing healthy corals. A white sand beach so soft that it felt like walking on flour. And even though it is the jelly fish season right now, we went snorkling without seeing one👍 Unfortunately there always is a lot of plastic garbage on the islands, coming in from the sea ( we are all responsible for that) but Jessica and i took some bags and collected 2 big bags in 10 min to take back and be recycled! Of course this was my own decision and it is not mandatory, but i do think it would be nice if we all do our bits to be a bit more responsible in that perspective and i was happy to see that this company cares! My family and i had an amazing day with 5 star marines- thank you so much!!

The boat is superb. The staff are friendly. Only one concern, they seemed not used to accompany elders in snorkling nor always in alert to assist, in comparison with other services in other countries. It seemes they expected extra charge. We always did give tips for any extra helps though.

Everything from the tour booking till the final drop off back to the hotel was absolutely smooth and efficient. The entire team was amazing, super helpful and great people all around. Our tour guide Fews was the best part of our day- such a gem! So funny and kind but also very professional. Highly recommend!

We booked a trip out to the Similan Islands in Thailand and unfortunately the trip was cancelled due to bad weather conditions. We asked about alternatives and the team was incredible getting us set up for a snorkeling trip out of Phuket to Racha Island (along with a few other stops) and it was incredible! They arranged for our pick up in Khao Lak and the service from the owner, Shaun, to the driver, the guide (Nook was great!) to the boat captain was absolutely top notch. We saw beautiful coral and sea life, had an incredible Thai food lunch on a deserted beach and felt taken care of the whole day. Don't hesitate to book a trip with 5 Star Marine!

This tour was one of the highlights of our trip. We went during the rainy season and 5 star was flexible with the day we went on the tour to help us get the best weather possible. We ended up going on a beautiful day that was sunny and mild conditions. We wanted to do something less busy so they recommended this tour as opposed to something like the PhiPhi Islands. We snorkeled in the clearest water we’ve ever been in and then had a snack on a beach with powder soft sand. We had lunch at a nearby island and spent some additional time snorkeling before we headed back. The tour guides were so helpful and accommodating of our needs and what we wanted to do. I cannot recommend this tour enough.

Went in a group of 2 and had a fantastic experience. Weather was slightly rainy as it was the beginning of rainy season, but Shaun and the crew kept an eye on the weather and suggested rescheduling our tour for best day. Shaun is very responsive and was super helpful in helping us customize and pick the right tour. Have had our share of snorkeling in Phuket / Krabi over the years and had just gone to Bali the year before, so wanted to try new spots. They were great in customizing our tour to fit in our requests (ie more snorkel, less beach time, try to see dolphins / sunset). Shaun has also made some great Youtube videos introducing the tours, which was very helpful. Very memorable experience as the reef was beautiful at Racha Islands and June (our guide) and the crew did their best to help us get great some views of the dolphins at Mai Thon. June also recommended a really cool fishing village for lunch which had fantastic fresh seafood. The boat, pick-up car and office were all very clean and well maintained. Office is located in a nice marina, and had donuts and coffee - great spot for pre-tour briefing. Really fantastic and safe company to go with for snorkeling tours - would definitely recommend and come back again.

This was one of the best things we could of done on our recent trip to Patong, it was so good we booked 2 tours. Raya Islands was our second day out with 5 star marine and it was just as amazing as our first to Phi Phi and Maya Bay From the moment we made our first enquiry to the moment we said good bye to our fantastic crew at the end of our second day.... Every moment was amazing! The most amazing clean boats, the best service. the greatest views... the best days ever!! I am grateful that we found Sean and his crew at 5 Star Marine! If I Could of given more than 5 stars I would of!

This is our 3rd trip with 5 Star Marine - Shaun, as always, was the perfect organiser from start to finish - handled with ease & efficiency. Jimmy, Yellow & the team were amazing and we love being in their company. Wonderful with the little ones and attentive to us! If you didn’t guess it already - this trip is FIVE STAR - it’s in the name after all!

I did not join the trip personally but booked for guests whose satisfaction is of most paramount, definitely more than my own. I am happy to report that all of them walked away very happy and this was definitely the highlight of their Phuket trip. Thank you to Shaun and his team for pulling all the stops and deliver an astonishing performance. To be honest this is not the easiest crowd to please!

Shaun has a great team and our guide Kong made sure we had a wonderful time on our day out! From the morning hotel pickup to snorkeling in 3 different spots, lunch on a private beach, the experience was seamless and magical. We can't recommend these guys more!! Unfortunately the weather turned bad after we had left so we couldn't stay out but we went to Banana Beach to wait out the weather for a while and see if it would change but fortunately didn't. We managed to have a lovely swim before heading back to the marina. The staff were so professional and helpful and the ocean was pretty big and the captain was super safe. We still had a really enjoyable morning and would highly recommend 5 star marine. We will definitely do another trip with them when we come back to Phuket soon.

We did a private speed boat tour to Koh Racha and Koh Weh which was fabulous - Phi and the crew were very attentive and made the day super special. Great snorkelling places, crystal clear water and a brilliant restaurant for lunch. Stayed out till sunset which made the day even more magical!

We found 5 STar Marine through a Phuket fundraiser to help thee community. We had such an awesome experience that we booked a birthday family activity to Raya and Mai Ton Islands. We had so much fun snorkeling, fishing, hanging out at the beach, and a terrific lunch at the restaurant in Raya beach. An unexpected treat was riding a carriage pulled by a tractor through the jungle. Great VIP service from the staff and a great personalized tour from K. Phi. We highly recommend 5 Star Marine!

We found this trip online during a Sandbox stay in Phuket, and it really was a 5-star experience! The trip was very well organized, in a very clean, fun and fast boat! From booking and pick-up all the way through final drop-off, they made it hassle free and fun for everyone. Doesn't matter if you are a family, groups of friends, or even for couples that want to explore together, they will arrange a custom trip just for you. And special shoutout to the staff for doing such an excellent job making sure everyone was safe, happy, and well prepared for the trip. We have had a great experience with 5 star marine and our host Phi Phi. Everything was well takrn care of and the boat was of outstanding quality. We have been to some great snorkling places and our lunch at banana beach was excellent and very relaxing. I would definitely recommend 5 star marine.

Amazing experience, amazing service. I would say 6 star. The boat was oh so clean, like new and in perfect working condition. They are so much better then your average boat service. Outstanding staff and very accommodating to every need. I would highly recommend them to anyone. The price is very inexpensive for what you receive.

Great trip. 5 out of 5. The owner Shaun was responsive, professional, and patient with all my questions. He was helpful and flexible in making the arrangements. The boat itself was excellent: stable at high speed, roomy, with plenty of inside shade and adequate outdoor seating in the bow. The three-man crew - captain, engineer, and guide - were professional and very friendly. The trip itself was perfect. We (a group of 10) visited several good snorkeling sites and a several postcard-perfect beaches. The expertise and flexibility of the crew was crucial here: not only did they knew good spots, they even recommended spots that are sometimes inaccessible due to wind or weather but, by good luck, happened to be accessible on the day we went out. Another point to the crew: twice, we managed to "lose" a snorkel that sunk to the bottom. In both cases, the crew were great sports about it and simply dove down to retrieve. The cherry on top was a chance to view dolphins, cavorting nearby and even swimming up alongside the boat. Bottom line: the trip we took with 5 Star Marine was exactly what you want from a day out on the water: easy organization, top-notch facilities, plenty of swimming and snorkeling in gorgeous tropical waters. 5 stars, indeed. Highly recommended.

It was a fantastic experience, everything organized to perfection. Facilitates booking for watsapp and everything as described. An excellent crew that showed us magnificent places with the added value of having the boat all to ourselves.

Absolutely perfect experience from all points of view. Perfect reception with snacks and drinks, quick explanation and departure without delays. The islands are wonderful and the snorkeling spots are absolutely fantastic. Raya's beach is a moving postcard. Yaya and the staff were super welcoming and helped us in every aspect of the day with some precautions not taken for granted. 5 stars absolutely the best tour carried out on our holiday in Thailand
