Private Boat Tour With Dolphin Spotting And Snorkelling From Phuket

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The most incredible family day in Phuket We have travelled to some beautiful places as a family, but our private boat day with 5 Star Marine was genuinely one of those experiences we will never forget. There were six of us — my husband and I, our two children and my parents — and from beginning to end, everything was absolutely perfect. Our Thai host Sandy, who is a Phuket local, was incredible. She was so warm, friendly and knowledgeable, and somehow managed to make the day feel completely effortless while making sure everyone in our family was having the best possible time. Our skipper was also exceptional. My husband is very experienced with boats and is usually the first person to notice if someone really knows what they’re doing — and he was genuinely so impressed with our skipper’s boatmanship. We felt completely safe and in such capable hands throughout the day. The snorkelling was simply magical. We were taken to a beautiful spot with incredibly clear water and SO many fish. The kids loved it, the adults loved it, and it was one of those moments where you look around and think, wow, we are really lucky to be here. We had also asked Sandy if she could recommend somewhere for an amazing Thai lunch, and she absolutely delivered. She took us to a floating restaurant that has won multiple awards, where we were able to choose our own crab and fish straight from the water. The food was honestly some of the best we have ever eaten — incredibly fresh, beautifully cooked and full of amazing Thai flavours. It was such a special experience and a real highlight of the day. We all ate everything and, importantly, no one had any tummy problems afterwards, which gave us complete confidence in the freshness and quality of the food. One of my favourite things about 5 Star Marine was something I didn’t expect — the photos. Our host took photos throughout the day, capturing all of us swimming, snorkelling, laughing and enjoying ourselves. As a mum, I’m usually either the one taking the photos or too busy making sure everyone else is having fun. So having beautiful photos of our whole family actually enjoying the day together was incredibly special. Those photos are going to be treasured. What really stood out to us was that it never felt like we were simply being taken on a standard tourist boat trip. It felt personal, thoughtful and completely tailored to our family. 5 Star Marine absolutely lived up to its name. From the incredible boatmanship, the beautiful snorkelling spots, the amazing food recommendation and Sandy’s wonderful hospitality, to the thoughtful photos that captured our day — every detail was exceptional. Brilliant day from start to finish plenty to do on all islands recommend if you want a good also made r day extra special to celebrate a birthday

We went twice and consider it again on our 2 week trip to Thailand. This is really recommended. They do everything to keep you comfortable and we are so thankful for everything they did for us on this trip. It was a perfect day both times

From the start, Shaun and the team were brilliant with communication, recommendations of tours that would suit our family (2 grandparents, 2 parents and 2 children ages 8 and 4) and provided detailed quotes and info. Throughout the lead up to the trip, the team ensured we were well informed. My son ended up falling ill, and the team allowed us to arrange a new date at pretty short notice to ensure we would have a great day. On the day, our guide, Beer, and his crew we AMAZING. My daughter ended up feeling seasick, so they reacted quickly, helped as much as possible and altered course to ensure she felt better and had a great day. The snorkelling was awesome and our family were able to create some special memories together. I cant recommend 5 Star Marine enough - if we come to Phuket again, we will definitely be booking another day out with them.

Tour was amazing and the crew were fantastic. As a private tour this made our day. It meant we could spend as much or as little time at each spot as we wanted. Not tied to a timetable like other companies. Price was also very good for the tour. Highly recommend.

Huge thanks for our wonderful trip yesterday. From the moment we were collected by our excellent driver we knew we were in good hands. The snorkelling sites were fantastic and though we didn’t see dolphins we did see monkeys and were also treated to a master class in fruit preparation! We were in Phuket for 2 days on a cruise. Background of us: Myself, my blind husband, and adult daughter. The ship tours were not at all appealing and typically had many many people in each group. After doing considerable research we found 5 Star Marine. We booked private because we wanted some control of the plan, but ultimately after discussing with our guide we went with their suggestions based on us telling them our likes and dislikes. I am writing one review for each day since each trip was very different. The first day focused on snorkeling and beach time. Communication prior to the trip was excellent and after getting off our ship tender we walked to the meeting place and were met by Joon who was holding a sign with my name on it. He immediately called the taxi who was minutes away and we rode to the marina on the other side of the peninsula in comfort while learning more about the area from Joon. When we arrived at the marina we reviewed the large map and confirmed where we were headed. We then boarded a VERY LARGE boat for the 3 of us, we had the guide (Joon) the boat pilot, and one additional helper. They did share that it would be bumpy as we left the harbor area, but it was not too bad. We arrived at the first island to find very clear water and amazing snorkeling. After all the time we wanted there, we went to an even quieter bay and very much enjoyed our snorkeling there too. As we toured to a beach spot they brought out fruit and drinks. The beach stop was great, and included hot food, and comfy chairs in the shade. We ordered some local food and had a very relaxing time. On the way back in to the Marina we stopped and tossed the remaining fruit to the monkeys. Many Thanks to Joon and the staff for a wonderful day!

From the moment we booked with 5 Star Marine, their customer service and attention to detail were simply outstanding. They kept us informed every step of the way and went above and beyond to accommodate all our needs and requirements. Alex, our tour guide, was absolutely fantastic! He’s such a kind and patient person. He showed us the true beauty of the islands, including some hidden spots that were just breathtaking and completely uncrowded. Alex was incredibly patient, letting us take countless photos and even using his own camera to capture some amazing shots for us. We booked 5 Star Marine to explore the islands off Phuket, and it was an adventure of a lifetime. We saw incredible marine life and swam in some of the most stunning places on earth. Snorkelling was a highlight, especially because my wife, who had never snorkelled before and isn’t the most confident swimmer, was swimming like a pro within minutes, thanks to Alex’s guidance. She loved it so much that I’ve promised we’ll do it again. Towards the end of the day, we went canoeing around one of the James Bond Islands (I think it was island no.2). This was a special anniversary present for my wife, and the team made sure she felt truly special. They even surprised us with a cake and Champagne, which was the perfect ending to an unforgettable day. Shaun and the team know how to make you feel like a VIP, and it started even before we hit the water! We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel in a private luxury minivan with a Bluetooth sound system and first-class reclining seats. It was pure comfort and luxury. The entire team was amazing, from the booking staff to the admin team, transport staff, boat driver, and crew. A special shoutout to Shaun and Niki, who spent a lot of time ensuring everything went smoothly and exceeded our expectations. I can’t recommend 5 Star Marine enough! Just go ahead and book with them—you won’t regret it! We’re already planning to return in the new year with our parents and in-laws to share this incredible experience with them. Nook and the team were excellent. Having the flexibility of different options and timing was really great. Coral beach was a highlight. And watching the sunset from the boat is a must. A great way to get engaged!

Amazing day for a group of 12 Adults and young teens. Her English was amazing. Communication before and after was on point. Boat was brand new, captain was very good slowing down over bigger waves. Gear was in great condition. Thank you for making our day perfect.

We booked a private boat tour with our tour guide Kris and he was very tentative to our trip. Tour was on time, professional, unique, fun, great destination choices. Lunch, snack and drinks were good. The whole family had an awesome time!

The company went out of their way to create a bespoke trip for us from phi phi islands to james bond island as well as including kayaking and snorkelling all in one trip. An amazing day where we were treated like royalty by Beer and Sonny from the time we were picked up. ( buffet breakfast at quayside much appreciated !) We also went to a fantastic restaurant -(see pic) for an outstanding 5 * lunch and were provided with a fridge of cold drinks, beers and fruit on the boat. A really special day Thank you -would highly recommend couldn’t have been better x

Our family recently spent a wonderful day aboard a private boat tour with 5 Star Marine. The crew took us to the most beautiful spots for snorkelling which were not crowded even though it was high season. We had an awesome time jumping from the boat and swimming in the crystal clear waters. The snorkelling gear was the best I have ever had provided on a snorkelling tour - the crew were so attentive from the moment we stepped aboard and provided a 5 Star experience through out the day. I had mentioned during booking that this was a special treat for our family to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday. The crew surprised my husband with a cake on board along with a delicious fruit platter - now that is next level service!

5 Star Marine provided us with a great private tour for transferring from staying in Phuket to our hotel in Phi Phi Islands stopping to snorkel at Mae Ton, lunch at Banana Beach on Coral Island, and snacks on board. They provided all the equipment needed to snorkel and let us enjoy our time on Coral Island. Their communication was excellent when planning and customizing, plus following up with photos from our tour. They picked us up from our hotel, took us to the marina which was fully stocked with snacks and drinks, and when arriving to Phi Phi, pulled us right up to our hotel on Ton Sai Beach. Our guide, Nook was friendly, accommodating and assured we had a memorable day. Definitely 5 star service!

If we could rate more than 5 Stars we would! An amazing day on the coral islands, dolphin spotting, snorkelling and then to top it off a beach bbq! The crew are the best and we are booking another tour before we leave! Thank you Shaun and the crew!!

5 Star Marine was responsive and easy to deal with from the get go. They watched the weather and made accommodations to ensure our trip would be safe and enjoyable. The boat was very clean, service was great, and our guide, Phi was friendly and helpful. We would definitely use 5 Star again in the future.

It’s quite hard to imagine a better day. The staff are so friendly and willing to make sure you have an amazing day. Simply great.

This was our favourite day in Phuket so far! The team we had onboard were so incredible, informative and fun, they made the day very special for us. We didn't spot any dolphins but it's nature right, not guaranteed! The snorkeling was fantastic and in a private spot, they helped with my 19 month old son and even did a spot of babysitting engaging him so well, they were amazing with him. I would book another trip with them again. (I also had many comms with the owner over my requirements and adjustments we needed and they were so kind and fast to respond over whatsapp)

We got a reference from an Australian couple to call 5 Star if we ever need to do some island trip around Phuket, are we ever glad we did. Let's start off with the communication, we were put in touch with the owner Shaun, I basically just told him we have 3 families with 8 kids, and he gave me some recommendations, didn't take long for us to decide and he answered every question we had. When we got to the location I was a little lost, right away they offer to send someone to come pick us up(mind you we were already 45 min late from our original departure time). We were greeted by their wonderful staff, after signing some information they helped all our kids with their life jackets, even got some refreshment and pills prepare incase we have anyone that gets seasick onboard, they helped us bring everything to the boat so we didn't have to carry nothing, and with 8 kids we have a lot of stuff, I'm pretty sure if I ask one of them to carry me they would lol. They had 4 staff onboard with us, Through out the whole day they were super nice, service was top notch, icing on the cake is that their staff Nook took pictures for us the whole day and 5 Star sent us the link for it the next day, other companies would charge you for that. unfortunately we did not end up seeing any dolphins on our trip but we were not disappointed because that was clearly explained prior to our departure that it was a 50/50 chance. side note, one of the kids did not feel well in the morning and my friend decided to not get on the boat with us, so we ask if they can have one of their office staff drive them home with my car which is 30 mins away, they did not hesitate to say no problem. Did I mention their pricing is the cheapest quote I got from 3 different companies? And their boat is super clean and well maintained. Over all they were beyond our expectations, perfect for any island day occasion especially family trips. My wife is a very picky person and she was amazed at the service and quality at what we paid for. Thanks again to Shaun and his staff, you can guarantee to see us again and again.

We booked a boat only for me and my husband and it was amazing. The guide as well as the captain and deckhand were very nice, always happy to help. They provided drinks and fruits on boat, we put our music. They organized everything we wanted to do and we managed to see dophins which was the best part!!! Will definitely return!

We had a really lovely day out with 5 Star Marine’s excellent service and pristine boat. Shaun was efficient and enthusiastic throughout the booking process and Ray was caring, happy and so helpful aboard the boat (as were the other 2 crew members). We didn’t see dolphins but the crew kindly tried twice for us around Mai Thon. We were glad to see monkeys as we were coming back into dock which kept my 5 year old happy. Banana beach was a little on the busy side, as I was expecting something quieter so just perhaps check if it’s high season when you go. But the snorkelling in the shallow waters that everyone can do right from the beach makes up for it! A fun family day out from start to finish, we highly recommend 5 star marine and appreciated their price too, which made it possible for us to have our own private tour!
