Amazing tour with very knowledgeable and friendly guide and some amazing sites. Had some delicious foods, but weren’t adventurous enough for a couple of them. Definitely had a blast though and was willing to try 99% of things.

My guide did not care about my preferences (I was the only one on the tour). She ignored my request to focus only on food. She gave me foods I said I didn't want like sushi (She wanted to eat sushi). She seemed to have little passion for local food and engaged very little with the friendly food sellers. She took me on a walk in the park (I don't know why). She insisted we visit a temple even after I said I didn't want to go (she said it was mandatory). She talked about the temple with no expertise. She spent a long period leading me around the old town Phuket and lecturing about its architecture (She knows little about this subject). During this long tour of old town, we didn't sample any food. My guide complained a lot about her job and dealing with clients. She spent much of the tour ordering me around and rushing me from place to place. This would've annoyed me if it wasn't so perplexing and funny. In the end, despite my complaints, she told me I enjoyed the tour. I think she was unhinged.
This was LITERALLY the worst tour we have ever been on. Guide barely spoke English and had zero plan as to what we would eat on the FOOD tour. Two and a half hours into the tour we had tried one item. We repeatedly asked what we were going to eat and he gave us no response. He kept saying "you pick something, I pay". Well, we chose a VERY expensive food tour to be shown, by the guide, the best things to eat in Phuket. I would give this a negative review if possible, but that wasn't an option. I reached out to Viator customer service to ask for a refund. They told me that could not help me. Way to go Viator!
Great way to see the area & sample the local street food. The guide was excellent, sharing their knowledge of the area, country and the local / national dishes, with great passion & enthusiasm. Recommend you give them a try.
A was very knowledgeable and kind! You will love this tour! We were able to have amazing local food and learn a lot about the area and temple.
Our tour guide Apon was amazing, she had incredible local knowledge, spoke English really well and had a great sense of humour. Apon showed us loads of new foods. Unfortunately we filled up at the first market and couldn’t eat much at the Old Phuket Town markets but Apon explained all the cooking styles and ingredients to us. Definitely do this tour on Sunday if you can, the old Phuket markets (Sunday nights)are incredible and Even better with a guide. Thanks Apon and Mr New our driver.
We got to take our food tour at the food night market, and it was everything and more! Our guide was Among (sp) and he was very delightful. Picked us up from our hotel, took us to a temple and then to a food market. Our tour fell on a weekend so we went to a food night market and we had so many options of food - we definitely enjoyed it! We didn’t have enough space in our stomach to try everything but we enjoyed the night and all the food and culture. Thank you for a wonderful tour.
Small group. Would have liked more people. I enjoy larger groups to share. Lovely tour guide. I'm in my 60's she took time and offered assistance as needed
I booked the Phuket Private Night Street Food Walking Tour last minute and I’m so glad I did! What I thought would be a small group tour turned out to be just me, and it made the evening extra special. My guide, A, was absolutely wonderful—warm, kind, and attentive. She constantly checked in to make sure I was comfortable, came prepared with water, napkins, and wipes, and encouraged me to try anything that caught my eye. Every food stop was delicious, and I ended up sampling so many dishes I never would have tried on my own. She even carried leftovers for me so I could take them back to my hotel. We got lucky with timing—at the first stop there was a festival happening, and later in Old Town we stumbled into a Hindu holiday celebration, catching the countdown and confetti by chance. A also took photos for me, shared stories about her life in Thailand, and made the whole evening feel personal and welcoming. Our driver, Latte, was excellent too. The vehicle was new, large, and comfortable, and he was always there right on time at each pickup point. Hotel pickup and drop-off went seamlessly. Highlights included visiting a Chinese temple, exploring neighborhoods I never would’ve found alone, and of course, the endless food. Even walking at night through non-touristy spots, I felt completely safe the entire time—which is important as a female solo traveler. This tour gave me such a genuine taste of Phuket’s food and culture, and I learned so much along the way. If you’re looking for a memorable, authentic food experience, don’t hesitate to book this tour—it’s 100% worth it!

I had a great experience our host showed us local markets and safe foods we would never have done on our own! She was so kind and really catered the tour to us!
I was here on business, and I love the street food when I travel. This tour did not let me down. My personal guide catered to my tastes while pushing me to try new things. From dining at an authentic cafe, to the Sunday Night Market street vendors, I got a taste of a very wide range of Thai foods. This was a great evening out.
Amazing experience, A (I am unsure how to spell her name) was an amazing tour guide who made the food tour very easy with personalized food choices and recommendations to local spots as well as how to properly eat Thai dishes ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A wonderful time and the guide (A) was very knowledgeable that brought additional insight into the tour. We had a great time and the night markets were fabulous
It was really fun. True street food, no joke. We lucked out and we're there during Thai NewYear. Got a little wet:)
Our guide was very sweet and very knowledgeable about the not only the food we were eating about the culture and history of the things we were seeing and experiencing and she made sure that the story or culture behind everything was included in everything we saw. A really fun and memorable experience.
Just our family on the tour, so private tour meant tour guide was very attentive and focused. Guide and driver were both very friendly and spoke good English The different food markets were great, lots of choice and definitely would never go home hungry from this tour! Loved the tour around Phuket Old town, guide explained the Chinese architecture well. The only thing that I feel could have been better was that we spent a lot of time at Chinese temple, would have preferred less time at temple and more time in Phuket Old town.
Fantastic! Well thought out. Well put together. I guarantee you will never find this amazing places on your own. Johnny was such a thoughtful and funny tour lead while Ami (s/p) worked diligently behind the scenes to ensure everyone was happy. I love food tours but don’t love food-I couldn’t eat half of the dishes due to allergies and odd habits BUT it was worth every baht and I would do it again.
If you are interested in learning about the local culture and history and love food, this is the tour for you. Getting to experience the Chillva night markets was one to tick of the bucket list. We had a great time and recommend you give this tour a go.
Trying various Thai foods at the night market. However it was rushed and we did not have much time to explore. We basically ate what our guide wanted to eat.
Comfortable transport. Guide was very professional and friendly. Was lucky to get the Sunday market. Lots of international food choices but I stuck to Thai.
Our guide and driver were amazing. They were on time, very nice and very well spoken English. We cannot recommend enough. We had more than enough time to wander the markets and try so many delicious foods that we would never of known without this tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable, and made us feel very safe and comfortable.
Joyful night life in Phuket at the food market. Very good food to taste. Excellent tour and service from our guide and driver. Highly Recommended.
“A” was amazing! I was able to see both local and the more popular Sunday night market. She showed me new foods, and was very friendly. I felt like I was with more of a friend than a tour guide. I took home some food and ended with a full belly.
It will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience if you can experience local street food in Phuket. Sometimes it may be scary and unbelievable for many at first, but I suggest you try it and enjoy it, you will definitely be satisfied.
The tour included a visit to the Chinese shrine which was quite interesting. Then the sky opened so limited our freedom to rome around We loved the food carts and tried a few delicacies. Visit to old town was short (due to rain) but a great experience. Topped it with some awesome pad Thai
