The hike was great. Our guide "soda" pointed out plenty of different trees and insects and was full of knowledge. If youre wondering about the length of time then it is forever. We started the hike at 940 and didnt get back to the vehicle to head to lunch until 2. It wasn't that it was that long, there are just a ton of "rest stops" in between. But we had a great experience and lunch was good too.

Itinerary
Discover the tropical rainforest with this adventurous trekking tour in the Khao Phra Taew National Park. Trek along the beautiful Tonsai waterfall, while admiring the extraordinary tropical vegetation. Hangers, sliders, creepers, giant palms and huge trees make you feel like an adventurer discovering a lost world. Our expert guide leads the way and is constantly on the lookout to spot red crabs, sweet water shrimps, giant spiders, frogs, snakes, iguanas and so much more. Rinse off the sweat with a refreshing jungle shower under the waterfall, a great photo opportunity, and a lasting souvenir of your trekking adventure. While you advance trekking higher up the Khao Phra Taew mountain range, you will be rewarded with world unique giant palm leaves, one of the reasons this tropical rainforest is now Phuket’s largest and most important national park. If you are lucky, then you might spot a white-handed gibbon, a member of one of the several gibbon families living in the park.

Fantastic activity for hiking lovers and people who love creepy crawlers! It’s about 4 hours of trekking with lunch after. Water and fruit is provided! Our tour guide was mina and she was excellent! Taught us all about the fauna and wildlife in the park and even showed us some of the native spiders! All round great trip if you’re alright with steep inclines and declines.
We reviewed the park information in line with our intentions to go without a guide. However it was advised to hire a guide as the trails are not always marked well or have been rerouted due to foliage or down bamboo. We elected to follow the advise and extremely happy we did. Very nice hike that is not for anyone that is not in good shape. Trail is rough and muddy. Recommend good shoes, bug spray and lots of water. Beautiful water falls and swimming holes
The entire trip was brilliant from start to finish! Pick-up from our hotel was right on time, and we were warmly welcomed with bananas, water, and a clear briefing on what to expect during the trek. Our guide, Lee, was absolutely superb, knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly sharp-eyed. Along with another guide, he pointed out tiny insects, snakes, and even some edible jungle fruits that we would have completely missed on our own. Their deep knowledge of the jungle made the experience feel authentic and immersive. We had the chance to stop at a couple of swimming spots along the way, one of them even had a fairly big waterfall, which was a beautiful highlight and a great place to cool off. The route overall was well managed and clearly planned, though there were a few more challenging sections that added to the adventure. Comfortable walking shoes/Trainers are a must! To top it all off, the day ended with a visit to a local restaurant where we could choose a menu item and enjoy a soft drink before being comfortably returned to our hotel. A great day all around, would definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking to experience the natural beauty of Phuket beyond the beaches!
Wonderful experience in beautiful nature. Noises and sights of the rain forest were a great experience. We saw spiders, lizards, giant millipede and butterflies. Our guide was humorous and informative! The lunch was delicious ! Please do your research though - as one of our party realised early on that the trek involved agility as well as stamina in the very hot, steep and slippery conditions- and had to return.
Everything was positive, the tour guides were very friendly and gave lots of information on the local fauna etc. throughout. The hike was great if you are in reasonable shape but I would not advise if you struggle with mobility as there are a lot of challenging sections where you must go up very steep sections, duck under/climb over logs etc. If you are happy with the above I can’t recommend highly enough as it was stunning. Also the meal on the way back from a small local place was some of the best I’ve had in Thailand, and included in the price. Brilliant.
Very nice guide. Quite physical trekking. But doing 6km for a waterfall actually accessible by car is quite frustrating
Had a great experience in the jungle with a very knowledgeable guide. Pick up & drop-off and lunch are included which make this tour very convenient. Would definitely recommend to go jungle trekking in Phuket.
Well planned Tour and a nice Guide. We got a lot of Background information when Walking threw the Jungle. I can recommend IT for everyone who doesn't mind sweating :)
What a fun hike! You need to be in decent shape as there is some climbing involved, but it's not too strenuous. Our guide, Jodis, was wonderful. We had many opportunities to cool off in the water. You will get wet, wear appropriate shoes! Highly recommend, it was really a great day of exploring the beautiful rain forest with so many waterfalls!
Had an incredible jungle trekking experience in Phuket with my wife. We were part of a small group led by an instructor named Pickie. Not only was he highly professional, but he also imparted valuable knowledge about the jungle and ensured our safety throughout. An added delight was the presence of a cute dog named Caw who accompanied us and looked out for any potential jungle hazards. Would highly recommend this trek for anyone who likes beautiful nature.
I found the activity through the internet as there was nothing on the activity desks anywhere, I looked. Really happy we did it as we show the real natural Phuket. Our guide was amazing and the whole activity from star to end AAA. They gave us water fruit and snacks while in the jungle and then took us for lunch in a original Thai restaurant. Everything included the park fee was in the price. Highly recommended.
It was sooooo fun! Our tour guide was super funny and was very knowledgeable about everything including the plants, insects and animals. There was also a dog they brought on the hike with us named Kao and it was so cute! This hike is pretty intense so be prepared! It is well worth it with the few ponds and waterfalls that come along the way :) highly recommend!!
The tour guide was very nice and funny and told a lot. Armed with a bottle of water, we went straight into the jungle. It was a good uphill climb but feasible for everyone. The shower under the waterfall is not to be missed. In between there was fruit and a snack and at the end a small lunch.
We had AnAn as our guide and it was a really great day with a lot of adventure feeling. Jungle trekking was challenging and at the same time incredibly beautiful – real jungle feeling came up. AnAn was very nice and attentive. I can highly recommend this tour. 🌿
Very nice hike and a real experience without the classic tourist trap style. In the annex there was even a meal in a local restaurant. Highly recommended.
