Phuket’s Dazzling Spectacle: Carnival Magic Theme Park Experience

Carnival Magic put our family of three on cloud nine — the dragons, the flying performers, the music, the soaring stage, the surprises around every corner left us mesmerised. Our 9-year-old daughter still talks about it. The Royal Seat upgrade was worth every baht. Heartfelt gratitude to every performer and crew member who made this magical evening unforgettable. A must-visit on any Phuket trip! Our gratitude goes to the cast, the production team, and every member of the crew. The hours of practice, the precision, the joy — it shows. As a family from India visiting Phuket for the first time, this evening was a highlight of our entire trip. If you're planning a family vacation here, do not miss Carnival Magic. Thank you for one of the most magical evenings we have ever experienced. Five stars feel too few!

Excellent park! The transport was 25 min late to pick us up. Had to call your operator and confirm the driver was on their way. Confusing when we arrived about what order to do things. Missed the parade cuz the time wasn’t posted anywhere. Hard to find a map of the park. However the park was very well maintained, clean, and handicap accessible. Be prepared for a lot of walking. You have to put your phone in a locker during the show cuz of no pics/recording. Locker is free. The light tunnel walkway afterwards is quite long but they offer golf carts to transport you for an extra cost. Carnival games were hard and the odds definitely against you, so pick your games carefully! Buffet dinner had an incredible amount of options. Had a good time! I know the above sounds negative, but that’s cuz we had no map or timeline of what/when to do things. Don’t let that deter you. Follow my timeline below and you’ll love the park. Be sure to check out the very pretty, unique bathrooms. Suggested timeline: Arrive as close to 5:30 as you can. Play games until 6:30. Then eat buffet dinner. Finish by 7:15 for parade start. Be in line for show by 8:15 for 8:30 start time. Runs about 40 min. Follow this immediately with the light tunnel. There is probably another 30 min available for games afterward before the park closes. You then go to the “transport station” and the guides help you get in line for the proper shuttle to return you to your hotel.

The experience is so original! Never seen anything like it before, however the kingdom of lights not opening until 9.30-10.30 makes the end of the evening very rushed to pack it all in. We cut short our visit to the forest to make sure we didn’t miss the bus home. Food is ok and not a rip off and it’s a pleasure to see lockers provided. Free of charge for safe keeping of mobile phones during the show. All in all a good experience

The show is out of this world. Definitely recommend it for everyone of all ages. Only caveat of the place is the buffet. The restaurant itself is “wow”. However, the varied buffet covering a wide range of tastes was below average. None of the food was hot, the majority being cold. We were in section D, which had a limited choice. As such we went into the other areas to find better choices, which there were, but still all tepid. Disappointing to say the least

Pick up ride can take 2 hours , visual fantasy land, Parade is great , Show is fantastic , A must see in Phuket

We were so very surprised once we got past the corny, cheesy children's and shopping area. Buffet, entertainment and festival of lights was beyond magnificent. It just went on and on...bigger and better lights. We didn't leave till about 10.30pm. My advice is to eat dinner early. You'll be tempted to stay and eat for longer it was so good...Not only would the food be hotter but you should aim to get back to the street outside the show about 7.30pm as it appears some time before the show starts (8.30) there is entertainment on the streets with streamers and balloons the kids would love. Then it's a very organized adventure just getting into the show, locking up phones in lockers etc ...works extremely well though. Then it on to a very long light show to walk through which was awesome and never seemed to end. There is a cart ride for a small fee for those who might find the walk difficult.We loved it all. Ps....you absolutely must visit all the bathrooms!!!

The place is awesome for kids. I would have given 5 star just for the place but the low rating relates to the parade for which they charge you heaps. The parade is nothing but few people and props moving from one corner to another inside a theatre. Everyone gets bored in 10 mins and starts to leave. The buffet has a lot of variety but its just about average too. The outside is what you get your money worth. It's colorful, vibrant and something to experience at least once. It's more fun for families with kids to enjoy but remember you pay for everything inside like rides, games, etc. If you plan for this then just get an entry pass rest is upto individuals to spend inside

The experience was definitely magical and stunning. The carnival, the lights were unbelievable. The staff had so much energy and oozed happiness. Would definitely recommend it. A once in a lifetime trip.

Excellent show, amazing displays of colour and vibrance. The scale of the displays is amazing. If you have kids they will love it.

It was not much fun for adults the parade and the show that was amazing that's what we came for. The food options were poor waaay toomuch ice cream and popcorn not enough healthy options for being Thailand have better food options and healthier options everyone does not want sugar sugar. Other then that the architecture was outstanding amazing very impressive so for such a beautiful place have more and better food options Include more local vendors for diffrent stuff more sentimental of quality items beings a original feel for Thailand have brake another space for adults only adult games or something. Its a must visit . Especially if u have kids . No need for buffet so avoid this . Its so many things happening around . A very positive vibe all around the park and the show in the theatre .

It was really good and funny. The Show was very very Amazing and all the stuff is friendly and helpsome. The Buffet was also delicious. The only minus was the Room With the animals. Thats very sad for them and they are looking paralysiert. Please let them out! The Carnival Magic Land is enough without Animals..

This was so amazing, it’s not just for kids. The show was the most entertaining 40 minutes so beautiful and stunning. Do give this a go if you are in Phuket. You will not be disappointed. 😄

Absolutely amazing, best xmas day for the kids. The show is out of this world it’s the best we have ever seen, please go and see for yourself well worth the money you will not be disappointed. Carnival Magic is one of the gems of nighttime entertainment in Phuket. With its vibrant and colorful atmosphere, it breaks all conventions, and it’s no surprise it holds nine Guinness World Records. It’s a perfect spot for couples and families, offering attractions for everyone. There’s never a dull moment! The buffet was delicious, but what truly amazed us were the spectacular performances and the floats in the 9:30 PM show. And I can’t skip mentioning the bathrooms; they’re out of this world! It’s the first time I’ve highlighted bathrooms in a review, but these are no ordinary ones. Highly recommended!

This is a childs wonderland although adults can enjoy it. We did and we are both of retirement age. Their are parades and then the show which is different as it is sets. You cannot take photo's of the show and will be asked to submit phones and cameras I had to submit my big camera but it was locked away and I had the only key. Do have the meal it is buffet style but very good.

Beautiful setting with a Unique experience and show in itself which is hard to put in words. Best for a family setting though as a couple as well its fun experience

Not value for money and not much of a stage show. Having been to global village in Dubai this show and park is inferior. The meal was not very good quality either

I would only recommend visiting this place if you have a larger budget and are willing to spend well above normal market rates. The cheapest tickets I could find online were 1,600 BHT per person. The majority of the action takes place from 7:45 when a street parade starts. From there you then move onto the river float parade at 8:30 and then the main attraction being the kingdom of lights opens from 9:30 - 10:30. Before all this, the main activities out with eating the overpriced food is to play the Carnival games dotted around the park which costs 500-600 BHT per person for 2 games. Overall, we regretted spending a good chunk of our backpackers budget on this however could see this being great if you have children as they can enter for for free if under 100cm height.

It turns out that if you bought tickets online, then this is not enough, at the entrance there are a million rules you need to get a coupon in exchange for this online confirmation and exchange it in a separate queue for a ticket and return to a separate queue for entry. We were with a stroller, they made our father go through security separately, thereby separating the family. Inside there are many prohibitions, starting from unfriendly rules if you are with a stroller and a ban on cameras and phones. The attraction itself is a scam in the style of Turkish jewelry stores. I also want to note the pricing, the ticket itself does not give the right to the attractions inside, they must be purchased separately

Carnival Magic was great, a really fun experience for both kids and adults. I would recommend reaching there by 5pm when it opens so you have enough time to see everything. Theres a really nice soft play area for kids on the 1st floor. Also, don't miss the washrooms they're a real treat to visit!

I like this place. They bring us back to children time when we can enjoy all games, shows, parades, foods, snack,drinks, dessert etc., This place is good for all family members. Senior people look back to their old time, teenager enjoy with the games and show, kids enjoy with easy games and snack, and everyone can enjoy their amazing show. I like their fantasy toilet and also spent moneys for souvenir like keychain, t-shirt-bag etc., and I supposed to enjoy playing game but as it was my first time, so I did not know what game they have, and which one is interesting for me. I found 2-3 games look interesting, but I did not play as I have to walk back long way to the counter to buy a game card and come back to play the game. So, I think this should be more convenience if we can pay on spot where we want. However, lucky me that the counter quite far otherwise I should spend more money with their amazing games. One thing cannot be skipped to talk about is their restaurant, amazing decoration and delicious food. But the most impressed me is their staff really friendly from the first person who we met at parking until the last staff we saw after the show. Everyone has smiley face, I will recommend my friends, family to experience this place for sure!

We booked the whole package that consist of pickup/buffet/tickets and NEVER REGRET it at all! The place is so beautiful and vibrant. All staffs were very participative and can truly tell they love their job and always so smiley. We felt very welcome and really enjoyed ourselves. Buffet had a huge variety but the quality of food can be improved. The space is huge and we are really impressed by this event and thank god we book this event! Highly recommend people to go, whether old or young. We missed the parade as we were still having our food, maybe the staffs could have went around to inform guests that there's a parade outside and can return for food after that parade ends. The toilet is a must visit!!!

The show was great, very decorative, specially for kids!!! The toilets are the places attraction. There are a lot of souvenirs to be bought.

We didn’t realise this was a children’s event and we paid a lot of money thinking it was a carnival type of event. However upon arriving we quickly realised that this was not what we hoped for and asked for a refund and we were refused so we then asked if we could give the tickets to someone else who had children and we were told no there’s nothing we can do which is absolutely ridiculous. The events seems very nice but unless you have children don’t bother and if you do be prepared to spend a fortune and the food buffet is not very good.

I'll be making a YouTube video review of this colorful amusement park in July 2024, so look for it! In the meantime, trust me, this is the most colorful place on Earth! The food court has a fantastic selection. Children will enjoy this more than anyone, but even old, grumpy people will smile.

I would consider Carnival Magic as the Top 3 places to visit in Thailand. The places opens at 5.30pm but would be wise to reach there only by 7pm. A mini parade conducted was sublime. So many colours, lights and energy followed by a parade inside a huge auditorium. The parade was simply brilliant. The scale at which it is conducted and the carnival floats that come are masterpieces. Beautifully decorated with an array of rainbow lights is a visual treat not to be missed. It's a 30 min show in a auditorium which has good Aircon and comfy seats. Must must visit. The parade alone is worth the ticket price but when you throw in the KINGDOM of LIGHTS that opens post the parade....it's an absolute steal. We didn't opt for the buffet dinner option coz we went to Cafe Del Mar, which is another superb party place bang opposite the Carnival Magic.

Our experience as a couple wasn’t the best! The lighting and the effort gone into making the place look attractive is appreciated however the pricing of the tickets is very expensive for what the place is. We went based on reviews that the excursion isn’t only for children however we disagree. This was definitely designed for a much younger audience and was underwhelming as most of the rides were children only too. The show would have been better if there was some dialogue involved to tell the story instead of purely light/costume based. Staff are very helpful and polite and there are many places to grab ice cream or water. If you’re interested in something very visual based, you may be happy with it but we were underwhelmed by the experience considering the money we paid.

Amazing! People told me this is more for kids, but they were wrong adults can enjoy also. The show was breathtaking and the castle and river of lights was breathtaking. I am just sorry it didn't last longer, as its a huge park. The Driver was nice and agency (IAsia) also provide with all info needed. Great Value as well

I absolutely loved this place! I felt like a big kid. The colors, parade, shopping and lights are absolutely stunning! The place was immaculate! The restrooms were even beautiful! The buffet area is the biggest and cleanest I’ve ever seen!! Can’t wait to come back and bring my niece. You have to go here when in Phuket! I don’t have a negative thing to say about it and would definitely visit again!

Had such an amazing night and experience at Carnival Magic Theme Park! Purchased the tickets for on Viator.com for $135CA/person. There was buffet dinner provided from 5:30pm with lots of food selections and a large seating area! The buffet was 3/5 as I do feel that some of their food may not have been freshly made as I had a stomach ache the next day (I could confirm this as my friends and I have been eating the same meals the day of and 7 days prior, they had no stomachaches since they didn't go to Carnival Magic). I would recommend to buy only their admission entry & shuttle ticket and eat elsewhere prior before going in if you have a sensitive stomach and you'll save money too. The washroom was super cool and had fancy lights with a water fountain in the centre. We were told that there was a parade outside at 7:15pm which was really fun! The show’s at 8:30pm and you can’t bring your phone inside during the live performance which we kept stored inside the locker. Not sure how the lady sitting beside me during the show was able to bring her phone inside lol The show was really cool of all the large different statue designs that they had of sharing the story plot through the characters and music. There was no talking but moreso focused on dancing and them floating around in the air. The dad sitting beside us did fall asleep too which was funny. The light show impressed me the most and it was around a 20min walk outside! Super gorgeous and huge to walk around to check out. Fun activity for couples and families with kids!

The kids had a great time. Needs lots of extra money for the tickets for the games. Really push selling stuff. Enjoyed the PARADE with all the colorful costumes, lights and fantastic floats. Appreciated that it was indoors with air con. The buffet rivaled Las Vegas of old. Lots of choices and delicious. Good activity to do with small kids

We did the vip visit here where we were looked after by Siwara and it was an unforgettable experience. We thought it may be a bit kiddy for our teens but nothing is further from the truth. It has several areas with games and fun shows but the movie theatre show was unforgettable and would recommend upgrading to best seats as it will take your breath away. The vip experience was worth the money and Siwara was an absolute gem of a staff member who was wonderful and made the visit.

The name says it all, its so beautiful and magical. Loved the lights and all the elements that made it so special. Perfect place for the most memorable and unique pictures.

If children’s heaven was a place on earth it would be carnival magic. (Not going to lie even me and my husband were like children in a candy store). There is so many things I can say that reiterate all the other reviews made of this place so I’ll just add that this place is highly must visit, even if you don’t have children. I wish I could go back every single day. The show was the most culturally spectacular thing I’ve seen. 100% worth the visit the price

The LED display was amazing and the shows were super fun, couldn’t take our phones into the main show but it was for the best as if anyone were to start recording with flash on it would have ruined it

We went to Carnival Magic for my mom’s birthday and it was great. All my family enjoyed it. Show was spectacular, it’s truly magical. Thai culture is rich and beautiful. Staff is super friendly and professional. We went in October, park is not overcrowded at all, we enjoyed it much more than Disneyland in Paris. Everything here is actually made for people, very convenient. We will definitely come again and recommend this place to everyone. Wonderful memories ❤️

What can I say. This was just amazing. We are over 55 but we're just amazed at this place. Families would & we're loving it. Spectacular show at the end before walking out to a parade. We had been to Fantasea & Siam Niramit before but this was soooo much better. Outside was like a theme park ( without rides ) for the kids & the show inside was spectacular. I Highly recommend you go to this should you be in Thailand

The moment you step into the theme park, you will be amazed by all the colourful light display and fun game stalls. Children will love the place, and adults will feel young all over again! Their toilets are a main attraction in the park. The toilets are so nicely designed and each cubicle even has its own unique design! They are so clean and beautiful that you will not bear to use them! Carnival Magic has the biggest buffet restaurant in the world, with lots of food variety for you to choose, from local Thai to international cuisines. Their signature cocktail, Bird of Paradise, is a must-try. This cocktail is served in a unique bird-shaped glass, and has a sweet taste to it. At 7.15pm, do not miss the parade. It is a bit similar to those parades in the Disneyland theme parks, but much much better here. The highlight of the event is near the end of the parade where visitors are invited to join in the fun and dance with the performers along with the catchy song of Carnival Magic. I don't think you can experience this in other theme parks around the world. Finally, not to forget, there is another performance after the parade in it's state-of-the-art theater. The performance showcases many magnificent floats in front of us as it tells the story of a local Thai folklore. This is coupled with a moving background screen at the back to complement the performance. All in all, Carnival Magic is the perfect place to visit for people of all ages. It is indeed a fun-filled experience that my friends and I will never forget!
