Phang Nga Bay Private Bioluminescence And Sea Canoeing Tour

I booked a private Phang Nga Bay charter for me and my two children (14 and 11), and it turned out to be the best day of our two weeks in Thailand. From the first enquiry, everything was organised perfectly. The WhatsApp group made pickup and timings simple, and the boat was spotless and comfortable, with plenty of shade. Our guide Fews was brilliant. He was knowledgeable, funny and great with the kids, and he timed everything so we got to James Bond Island before the crowds arrived. Kayaking through the sea caves and hidden lagoons was a real wow moment for all three of us. Captain Mee handled the boat with real skill and care, and Bop looked after us all day with cold drinks, fresh fruit and towels, always with a smile. Lunch at the Koh Panyee floating village was a lovely local experience too. Going private made all the difference. We went at our own pace and stopped to swim whenever we wanted, and it felt like our own day rather than a tour. The photos they sent afterwards are a fantastic bonus. If you’re a family thinking about Phang Nga Bay, book 5 Star Marine and ask for Fews, Captain Mee and Bop. Thank you all for a day we’ll never forget.

This is the third time we have booked a tour with 5 Star Marine and every single time the staff create an amazing memorable experience. This time there was a group of 16 of us varying in age and each one of us absolutely loved every part of the trip. Nothing was too much hassle and the tour guide Wawa made the trip very special as it was the 3rd anniversary of my son’s passing. Thank you 5 Star Marine. We had the best experience, our guide Ricky and the team were amazing. Taking us to the best places for a private experience, they were so knowledgable and attentive and really cared not just for us but passionate about their jobs and about Thailand. Everything was stunning, the best most amazing scenery! The birthday cake at the end was an extra special suprise. Would highly recommend and definitely use again, if we could give more than 5 stars we would!!

This tour was the highlight of our trip in the Phuket area. Everything was extremely well organized from start to finish. Very good tour and service, we had a great experience. Beatifull nature, and sunset. The bioluminescent was the only bit that dident live up to our expectations. I quess we were unlucky, it depends on how bright the moonlight is. But All in All a good tour.

This was the third time I did a day tour with 5 Star Marine. I can’t tell you it is getting better because it was already perfect the first time. We are living in Phuket and take our friends out when they visit us from abroad. What a wonderful day it was again. People are so impressed and happy to discover all those wonderful little islands we are surrounded by here in Phuket. We let the crew decide where to take us, just asked for a quite beach for a picnic and, as usual, they delivered… taking care of all the guests, always bringing us refreshments, informing us about the places we visited. And like every time, they will not rush the tour and bring you back at 2 or 3PM. Some time left…. they will suggest you go visit something else and extend your trip to fill the whole day. We left at 8.30 and came back at 17:30…. Tired and Happy. Big thanks to our crew, our guide Sandy, the captain Coco and Mango. Final advice…. Just don’t change anything. Thank you for that day. We had an absolutely amazing time on our boat trip on 28 July 2025! It was such a fun and unforgettable experience from start to finish. Piu was unbelievably thoughtful and came up with the best ideas throughout the journey. His extraordinary dedication truly stood out, but what made this trip even more special was the outstanding work ethic and positive attitude of the entire crew. Their teamwork, attention to detail, and warm hospitality turned this experience into something truly unforgettable. Highly recommended!

I would highly recommend 5 Star Marine for this Tour. Actually they should be called 8 Star Marine. Excellent service and hospitality. There Speed boat was very modern and equipment provided clean. So I booked 2 separate tours. First was this Tour and second was Phi Phi Island Tour. Both Tour guides were very friendly and accommodating and knowledgeable. Giving us information about each site we visited. Also I was travelling with 4 young children ages 12, 9, 6 and 3. Which is why I opted for a private speed boat tour as the larger shared can have upto 80 other guests and trying to keep an eye on the kids would be difficult. The guides were really good with the kids also showing them how to use the snorkeling equipments and guiding them through the ocean. This was very helpful as i could only take care of the 3 year old so the 6 and 9 year old needed extra help. I don't think you get this with a larger tour group as everyone I think is left to snorkel on their own within a controlled area. The guides were very informative in regards to the planned snorkle and cave stops and the route planning for the Tour. I would highly recommend 5 Star Marine due their level if service which was beyond expectation.

Words cannot even describe how amazing our day with 5 star marine was. It was absolutely magical! The bioluminescence was a bucket list moment for many of us so we were totally blown away by that! And canoeing through caves into hidden lagoons was out of this world! The whole day was just incredible and I don’t think we could ever top it. From the moment I booked the trip a couple of months ago the team at 5 star marine were brilliant, there was a group of 7 of us and people wanted to see different things so there were lots of emails back and forth before we arrived and 5 star marine went above and beyond altering the tour to make sure we fit it all in, and had so much patience with my many questions and emails!! The tour was planned to perfection and we were looked after from the moment we were picked up from our hotel. Our guide was super friendly and knowledgeable and made us feel completely at ease. We came back to Five star after having a couple of previous trips in the last 2 years. We weren’t disappointed. We had a lovely day, jumping off the boat, canoeing in caves, walking through some caves to a big open lagoon on the other side. Lunch at the floating village was yummy and we had soft drinks and fruit on the boat for snacks. We were on the bioluminescence tour and we had fun playing with the plankton. We were really worried as the day started with rain (April is very changeable) but fortunately the sun came out and we had a great time. If the weather was not good, then it wouldn’t have been as magical. Jimmy and the crew on Lucus 11 were brilliant. Good fun and couldn’t do enough for us.

We had a great full day trip to Phang Nga Bay after booking a private tour with five star marine. First off they picked us up at our house and took us to their dock at the boat lagoon. From there, we went to Phansk Island to do some cave and lagoon exploring. We then proceeded to Hong Island, where we were able to get in sea canoes and do some cave exploring and seeing the mangroves. After dinner on Panyi Village, they took us to some coves where we could experience the bioluminescence glow from the little sea creatures. They returned us back to the boat lagoon, and we were transported back to our home in their private van. Great trip.

13 of us family did the Private tour of Phang Nga Bay. It starts off from the pier & the Ist stop is Phanak Island with is stunning as you get to walk through the caves. Next stop is Hong Island where they take you Canoeing through a series of spectacular caves & coves. The next stop is Phang Nga Island or more famously called James Bond Island which is iconic. They then take you to an Island for lunch & when it gets dark they show you the Bioluminescence & plankton. There are many interesting things on the trip & shouldn't hype it as a Bioluminescence tour. It is only a part of the whole trip. All in all a well organised trip with Ice, soft drinks, water & cut fruits provided on the boat. Jimmy was our guide who was pretty efficient.

We did this tour on the 25th January, our second tour with 5 Star Marine and we were absolutely blown away. Our guide Phil, first mate Bob and Captain Big Bear made the whole experience unforgettable. Nothing we can say can capture where we were taken and what we saw. This is something you have to experience for yourself. Having said that if you do think about doing any tours in this beautiful place we would highly recommend 5 Star Marine. Thanks to Phil for his knowledge, experience, professionalism and the attention to the many many little things. Trevor's birthday cake delivered to us by canoe, in a private cave, on a private beach will be something we will never ever forget. The team went out of their way to take us to many secluded places. The whole day was amazing and will remain in our memories always. We look forward to returning next year. We took the Bioluminescence and Sea Canoeing tour with Alex and it exceeded our expectations. The canoeing and caving was so much fun, and the bioluminescence was magical. We added on some extra snorkeling and even though the water was a bit murky, everyone had a blast. Alex is an awesome guide. He was so friendly and knowledgeable, and the whole crew really looked after us. Thank you. My kids said that this tour was the highlight of their trip to Thailand.

I can't say enough amazing things about 5 Star Marine and our guide Alex. We booked a last minute private boat tour to see the bioluminescent algea and get dinner at Punyee Island. I highly recommend using them for a boat tour because you will get more than you pay for and amazing service. 5 Star Marine communicated quickly and we were able to book a private boat with them at a great price within a few hours. They brought their boat over to the marina we were already going to be at in the afternoon and sent us a picture of the boat and our guide so we knew who to look for. The service from Alex and his team was impecible from the start. The boat was clean and in great shape and comfortable for all of us. We had planned to see just Punyee Island for dinner and then the algea but Alex had some recommendations of things to see along the way that we were happy to do, and I'm so glad we did! He took us to a hidden private open cave and lagoon that was breathtaking. Then we swung by more stunning rock formations enjoying the sunset from the boat on the way to dinner. He called ahead to the restaurant to make sure they stayed open for us since we spent time enjoying the lagoon/cave. After a wonderful dinner he took us to a cave where guides were waiting in canoes to take us into the calm dark waters to see the algae. We spent time in the cave playing in the water and enjoying the light show. Alex jumped into the water to show us different affects with the biolumimesence and it was so much fun. One of our friends was nervous about the canoes so she stayed back on the speedboat, but they still made sure she go to experience it as well by turning off all the lights and having her splash on the back of the boat. After ample time we all loaded back onto the speed boat and headed back to the marina where Alex arranged for a van ride for our group back to our hotel. We stayed out later than expected, got to see and experience more than we expected, and were blown away by the service the entire time. Alex was so kind and seemed to enjoy answering all our questions and teaching us about the area. You can tell he loves his country and sharing it with people. We never felt rushed and got to enjoy the evening at a relaxed pace. They made a custom program for us, at a great price, that was worth every penny. If I'm ever back in Phuket I will use them again and again and again!! Thank you for an amazing time!

What a wonderful day - huge thanks to Nicky our guide for giving us such a memorable time. We felt in safe hands and went with his suggestions which seemed to mean that we avoided any crowds and had the best experiences. We swam a bit, explored the caves, ate Thai food for Christmas Day lunch in a floating water village and made snow angels out of the bioluminescence which was so special.

This was our second time doing this Trip and it was just as amazing as the very first time that we did it! Literally blew us away!! An experience of a lifetime! And We will definitely do this again next year when we come back to Thailand 😍

5 Star Marine came highly recommended by a good friend. The enquiry and booking went smoothly. The team was responsive and informative. On the day, the pick up service arrived ahead of time. We were able to start out 20 mins early, which was good considering the journey from our hotel to the marina took an hour. On arrival at the marina, we were greeted by our guide - Jun. The boat was very well-maintained and clean. Everything looked new. Jun and his team are very experienced and professional. They customised the activities to take into account the composition and interests of the group. We did a variety of things - swimming, snorkeling, canoeing, walking around in a cave and splashing in the water with bioluminescent plankton around us. Jun even convinced my daughter to go into the cave. We were very well taken care of from start to end.

Did the bioluminescence tour. The team was awesome. Their enthusiasm and explanations of the tour sites made it a special experience. Absolutely recommend if you're looking for a tour of the area.

I can honestly say this is one of the best experiences our family has ever had. We our family of 8. My wife, my self and our 6 boys. We have traveled around the word and done many incredible activities and this is certainly one of the best. The area is so beautiful you can probably enjoy yourself in wooden raft with paddles but five star takes you out in a luxury boat. Having a private boat, and a nice one at that is worth the money if you can afford it. Our guide Jun and the crew were amazing, and I truly mean amazing. They went out of their way to make sure we had an amazing time. Highlights of the tour were going through the caves at sunset with our headlamps and helmets when no one else was there. An amazing dinner at floating city(food price is not included but the quality was excellent and the price was reasonable) The best thing if the bioluminescence, it was truly like something out of Avatar. I feel like James Cameron must have been in Phuket when he dreamt everything up. I wish I could have captured it on camera but my lens was not large enough. Even so we will never forget how beautiful it was!

Don't hesitate! If you're considering a tour with 5 Star Marine, DO IT! We have nothing but amazing things to say about the whole team! From booking, all the way throughout the lead up, and on the day itself, the whole team were professional, communicated extremely well at each step of the process, and looked after us so well on the day! From organising specific soft drinks for the day, prompt and efficient pick up and drop off from our hotel, and such amazing guides on board, these guys are amazing! Our guide Dream was such a pleasure to spend the day with, really made us feel looked after and was extremely knowledgeable. But more than this, he was genuine in his warmth and pride in sharing this part of Thailand with us! Dinner at the floating village was great.. although we ordered way too much (bear in mind the servings are substantial!) With it being rainy season, the day started off with a LOT of rain.. but honestly, the way the team conducted the tour and still managed to show us all the sights, while avoiding the big crowds (as well as rhe rain) made us forget all about the morning downpour. A truly memorable day, and we will definitely do it again when we are next in Phuket! Thank you Dream, and the whole team! It was amazing!

I have to say that working with 5-Star was fantastic from the initial booking, through communication while we were in Phuket, all the way through the tours themselves. We actually booked two tours with them, the Dolphin-Spotting/Snorkeling and the Bioluminescence tours. Our first tour was the Dolphin-Spotting/Snorkeling tour. I was very happy with how upfront 5-Star was in the booking and then with the guide that they engage in only ethical dolphin-spotting, so there's always a possibility that you won't see any dolphins. We didn't on our tour, but we did not feel disappointed in the company since they were so up-front about that. Plus, the fact that they do approach this ethically is something we were both happy about. The snorkeling was great and Coral Island was a nice bit of relaxation. Our guide Jun was so great that we made sure to request him for our 2nd tour as well. When we asked about the getting something to eat, he recommended the floating seafood restaurant as opposed to us getting a bite on the more tourist-y island. It was a great recommendation and a place we were already planning on trying to visit, so it was great to have that happen on the trip. Our 2nd tour was initially booked for a Friday, but my partner had a really bad back spasm in the morning and wouldn't have been able to handle the boat ride. 5-Star was so accommodating to let us reschedule for the Sunday instead. On Sunday, we did have Jun again and he was amazing. This was the sea canoeing and bioluminescence tour. The sea canoeing and the cave walking to the different lagoons and spaces inside the islands was fantastic and would've been amazing on its own. However, the star was the bioluminescence at the end. From the photos and write-up on 5-Star's website, we thought we'd be seeing some cool bioluminescent algae effects from the boat after sunset. However, what we got was even more fantastic and well worth the tour all by itself. I don't want to spoil the surprise, but I do recommend this tour if you want a magical evening moment. If we are able to make it back to Phuket in the future, we will definitely be trying some of the other tours that 5-Star offers.

We had an absolute great day and night out. Jimmy and the local crew were great. Very knowledgeable, helpful, organised and respectful. Sea was a little choppy in parts but still go in a nice dive around Khai island. Much calmer as you head north the the boats really move. The highlights for us were cave canoeing into hidden lagoons. We also got to see some really cool wildlife (monkeys, eagles, water monitors and octopus). Floating village was an interesting place for dinner and the bioluminescence was the cherry on top of a great day. Could not recommend this company more highly.

It was an experience like we’ve never had, and I did countless hours of research for our two trips with Five Star, wanting to ensure we were getting the best experience we could. Four friends from Texas embarked on an adventure of a lifetime with 5 Star Marine, experiencing the Bioluminescent tour and the Phi Phi Island tour on two separate days. Our guide on both trips was Alex, one of the most genuine people we met during our two-week trip to Phuket. His happiness was evident as he explained the special hidden places we visited. Our journey began each day with a private van pickup from our hotel, and we were greeted by Alex, at the marina. The Bioluminescent tour, which was Alex's tour program, left us stunned. The attention to detail was remarkable, and we were pleasantly surprised when Alex gave us a cake to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. We were captivated by every turn of the boat, every view, and every detail. Alex's dedication to service and attention to detail was beyond compare. Alex and his crew on Lucas 6 were the highlight of our entire vacation in Thailand. He is a treasure who truly loves his job and showing off his he beauty of Thailand. He even took the time to pick up trash from the ocean while we were snorkeling. It was an amazing experience to tour Phang Nag Bay and Phi Phi Islands with Alex and 5 Star. We will travel back to Phuket just to explore more with Five Star.

Our custom tour of phi phi , maya bay, James Bond island , lunch and bioluminescence was outstanding. Our tour guide Alex and his team was incredible. Every aspect from the booking , communication, transfers was organized and professional. The highlights were snorkeling, the caves , sea canoeing and of course the magical bioluminescence. We were able to adapt around the crowds and find secret grottos and swimming places that only the locals know. The boat was fast clean and well equipped. Thank you for giving us an UNFORGETTABLE trip! We are super happy that we went with 5 Star Marine for this trip to Phuket! It was our son’s first visit to Thailand and our tour with 5 Star Marine was our family’s highlight hands down! After booking, we received communication from the company mimths prior and especially days leading to the tour. Since our time was limited, the company picked us up from the airport straight to the modern boat! One of my first observations was seeing a big bag of emergency/medical bag on the boat! Kudos that this company values safety to their guests! My husband, adult son, and I received the best service from Alex and team! There were three staff ensuring that we had the best time! We visited caves, lagoons, floating villages, views of bats during sunset, amazing restaurant, etc on our 8 hour trip! They were able to cater our requests including bringing a standup paddleboard onboard for my husband who loves to SUP! Alex also knew the timeline so we always got to the caves before the big ferries arrived with the other tourists! In addition, they took us to the mangroves where my husband also had the chance to SUP! Cruising around the mangroves and was probably the highlight of the day! This was our second tour with 5 star marine and was even better than the first. We were lucky to get Alex as our guide again this time. His knowledge of the phang nga Bay area meant we were able to see the caves and the lagoons at the quieter times, most of the time there was only us there. This is a beautiful part of Thailand and would highly recommend anyone to take this trip with 5 star marine. Thank you everyone at 5 star marine for an amazing trip.

Honestly couldn’t give these guys more praise if I tried. Their service was sublime. Boat excellent. Jimmy our guide was so friendly and knowledgeable and if you want to see things all the other tour boats don’t get to see then book a trip immediately. I don’t want to give too much away as it can spoil the surprises in store but they are honestly so worth it. Will be using them again.

We spent the entire day out with Jimmy, Yellow and Lai and the guys took such great care of our family. We were traveling with my kids and senior parents and everyone had a great time. From refreshing drinks and snacks to informative insights and care, we were thoroughly satisfied with the entire day trip. We saw caves, monkeys, whales, amazing cliffs and sunset and sooo much more. The sights are amazing and the boat top notch. Very fast vessel and very clean! Plenty of room and comfortable the whole way out and back. We can not say enough about our 5 Star Marine Tour. Our guide, Fews, Captain, Mat and Engineer , Nan, were all extremely professional, yet friendly. They went out of their way to assure that we had a great experience. We toured Thailand for 2 1/2 weeks and the 5 Star tour was by far the BEST experience of the entire trip. We did the Phang Nga Bay Private Bioluminescence and Sea Canoeing tour and it was truly memorable. The team, including our guide Sun, were great and took care to take us to private spots away from the other tourist boats and to change the itinerary on the fly to make sure we had the best time. Spending time on secluded beaches, dinner on a floating restaurant, paddling through caves into incredible lagoons and, of course, the sparkling plankton are all special memories. Not a cheap trip for small group like ours (3) but we have no regrets - it was such a different experience from a public tour and we would do again without hesitation.
