Phang Nga Bay Canoeing & James Bond Island Tour From Phuket

Overall a nice sightseeing tour with lots of good photo opportunities and well organised. However, two things detracted from the overall experience which put a damper on the days fun, for not just us, but some of the guests around us as well. Since before lunchtime (not even halfway through the day!) the shameless review farming starts. The guide stops at every guest and requests them to write a review right there with links to the review pages. She even goes so far as to sitting down next to the guests to see what they are writing, influencing the content, and instructing them to include her name in the review. I understand a request for an honest review at the end of the day, but this has been done so intrusively that it has become really really annoying. The review farming has been a theme throughout the rest of the day with multiple reminders to leave good reviews and to make 100% sure the review includes her name. Nr 2: The booking page for this tour mentions that tips & gratuities are not included. However, in the guide's own words, "the kayakmen do not earn a salary" - and therefore guilt tripped guests multiple times into tipping them with a suggested amount. What kind of tour operator does not pay their crew? Approaching the end of the tour, the guide asked again very explicitly for tips for her and her crew, with a crew member walking around the boat with a tipping container in front of each guest with the expectation to tip. Preying on tourists with this pushy tipping demands is atrocious in Thailand where there isn't a tipping culture. We would've gladly left a gratuity as often is the custom for receiving good service on a tour like this, but this was done very pushy. If I were to do this tour again, I would go with another operator that focuses on delivering value, fun, and a day focused around their guest's entertainment, rather than shameless self promotion for the guide and operator, review farming, and tipping requests.

Had a great experience. Our guide, Tommy and his crew, gave an amazing tour of the island. He helped in clicking the pictures. The islands views were breathtaking. Overall enjoyed a lot and worth every penny.

We had such a great time on the Phang Nga Bay Canoeing & James Bond Island Tour! Everything was enjoyable from start to finish. Special thanks to Tony and his amazing crew for being so friendly, cheerful and entertaining. They really made sure everyone had a good time. A special mention to Muhamad, our canoe paddler, who was so nice and helpful, especially in helping us take lots of beautiful pictures! Canoeing at both Panak Island and Hong Island was a wonderful experience. Hong Island was especially relaxing, and we enjoyed swimming so much! Overall, we truly enjoyed every moment. Tony and the crew were amazing. The day was incredible in Phang Nha Bay, and the weather couldn't have been more perfect. They provided a large lunch, refreshments like water and coffee were available all day, and they treated us to fresh fruits and coconut pancakes at the end. Our canoe navigator was also fantastic. As a photographer, I really appreciated him taking a little more time in each spot to capture shots of monkeys and the scenery. Plan to bring some cash both for shopping on James Bond Island and tips for the crew.

We booked this trip at the very last minute because our flight departure was suddenly moved earlier! But Mr. Tony and his team went above and beyond to make sure we didn't miss out. They guided us every step of the way and made sure everything went smoothly. Service was absolutely tip-top! We were guided so carefully, treated so well, and fed until we were completely full! 😂 Honestly, I wish I had more room in my stomach because the food was so good! Definitely one of the best experiences. Highly recommended! Thank you, Mr. Tony and the team! ❤️

It is definetely an amazing experience, even though it was raining a little. The tour guide Tommy is a 5-star guide!! The food on the boat is delicious, everything freshly cooked!! The stopping brakes for cannoying and to swim are really good!

Tommy was an amazing host, very funny and friendly. The tour was awesome, stops were great, and at each stop for a good about of time. Food was also good! I was just concerned about the crew who had to stay in the water at one of the stops for over 2 hours while we carried on our trip. Otherwise everything was great!
