Very fun and worth it! We got to feed a whole basket of bananas to elephants and get close to them while learning about the world of elephants and tourism. The tour guides are volunteers (very friendly and happy!), the elephant food has to be purchased, and learning this (they do not share this information unless asked, and they are not at all pushy for donations) gave us greater appreciation for their mission to rescue these magnificent creatures from unethical and the worst of abusive conditions. We took the 9a tour for 90 minutes- that was the perfect time for us. Recommended going in morning as it heats up. I like that this tour included hotel transfer and traditional Thai homemade coffee/tea. It was a beautiful day, but they have umbrellas/boots in case of rain, and the elephants are more active and playful when it’s raining . The trail was short and easy and we only stop in the shade, so it’s good for families.

Very ethical sanctuary. Excellent info given. Siri the guide was exceptional. Well informed. Please go.
Amazing experience, seeing the elephants in their natural habitat
Fantastic morning feeding the elephants and walking with them. We took our 5-year old and the 1 1/2 hr experience was long enough and he thoroughly enjoyed it. Was lovely to see them in their own environment, no chains, no riding and no bathing personally was the right thing for us!! Puki was a great guide, really informative and engaged with the children which was lovely!! The elephant keepers were great and let you get within a safe distance of the elephants. Would absolutely recommend for those with younger children and wanting to chose the ethical option!
Great experience, ethical treatment of the rescued Elephnats. Perfect educational visit for our children too. Highly recommend. We had Siri as our guide and she was very good, answered all our questions and engaged with the children perfectly too. Thank you for a great morning.
Very professionally run elephant park. From the hotel pick up, to the welcome drink and cold hand towels, to the clean toilets - everything was spot on. But especially the guided tour of the park and the heartfelt story of each elephant told to us by our guide was the most rewarding and inspirational. These people truly love the elephants in their care. The park is in danger of being encroached by a tourist resort. They need support.
This experience at the elephant sanctuary was absolutely amazing and unforgettable. We got to learn about each elephant’s life story and unique personality up close. It was such a wonderful joy to watch them enjoy their meals and bathe leisurely in a natural environment. What I appreciated most is that the sanctuary fully respects the elephants’ personal space and natural behavior. There are no forced performances, and everything is done with love and care for these gentle giants. It has been a meaningful and wonderful journey. I would highly recommend this place to all my friends!
Very nice guide Siri who introduced the elephants and their different characters to us. Highly recommended!
The Elephant park was amazing, the staff were very knowledgeable and engaging. We wanted to visit an ethical park and this is what we got. The elephants are rescued and well cared for, we got to see them in their natural habitat, eating, swimming and walking around. Beautiful. The park also had umbrellas which are a must, very hot.
A lovely walk in the jungle with some beautiful elephants, while learning about them feom a very informative guide. We were very happy to support the Bukit Elephant Sanctuary. If you want to see elephants in Phuket, this is the way to do it.
If you’re visiting Bukit Elephant Park, the Mini Elephant Nature Tour is an absolute must. It was one of the most memorable experiences of our trip. Our guide, Sarah, was phenomenal. She was incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and clearly cares deeply about the elephants. Throughout the tour she shared the rescue stories of each elephant, their personalities, and how they came to live safely at the park. Hearing those stories made the experience so much more meaningful. Getting to meet the elephants up close, take photos with them, and watch them interact naturally was unforgettable. You can really tell the team here prioritizes the elephants’ wellbeing while also educating visitors about conservation and ethical care. Sarah made the whole tour engaging, fun, and informative — we learned so much and left with a deeper appreciation for these amazing animals. If you’re in the area, don’t miss this experience. It’s a beautiful opportunity to connect with elephants while supporting a place that truly cares for them. Highly recommend!
What a fantastic and heartwarming place ❤️ Thank you for your work with the elephants. We are so happy that we did this trip.
A well organised tour. We were picked up on time , and went on a walk with the guide. There were a range of children’s ages. They all enjoyed hearing about the elephants, their favourite was when they went into the water. There was shade for the group, and it was long enough for the 2 & 4 yo. I liked the fact there was no forced activities.
We are deeply impressed by the work of the Sanctuary in rescuing elephants from being mistreated, locked, hooked and chained. The tour guide was professional, providing us with the details, story of each elephant.
Staged elephants, crowded and awful transportation. While I appreciate the rescue of the elephants, the elephants felt staged based on where Bukit placed the food and that they were just trained to be on display. The tour was also very crowded and the shared bus transportation was massively disrupted inefficient. We spent an extra 2 hours in the van driving between beach towns that were not close to each other. We booked 1.5 hour event. Left our hotel at 8am and didn’t get back until 1230.
Great experience! Great guide, very informative. The elephants were well mannered! We took photos up and personal (touching)!!!!!
Unfortunately our pick up arrived late (11:20) and we missed the first part of the tour so had to run to catch up. It was great to see the elephants in a natural environment and they appeared to well cared for. The guide had good English and gave great information.
We did the 1.5 hour tour only. It was very informative and interactive and we enjoyed the experience. Something you must do when visiting Thailand.
From pickup to return to the hotel, I felt as comfortable as the elephants. A truly unique experience with the elephants. The best part was... no elephant riding, no elephant bathing, and no chains. The food that was cooked today was also delicious. A thoroughly enjoyable day at your park. ขอบคุณ 🙏🏽🐘✨️🇹🇭
This tour was a great experience, we have a toddler and we were able to watch, feed and walk with the elephants. We heard about their stories and were able to pat some and have some photos. It’s a fantastic sanctuary and we would highly recommend it to anyone
We’ve been to a few of these and I usually slightly dread them, worrying about how the Elephants are actually treated. This was by far the best we’ve been to yet. It treated the animals with respect, taught the children a lot about them and it was all done in a very natural and open setting. There were no gimmicks or tourist centred things like bathing with the elephants - I thought the place was much better because of it!
10/10⭐️✨ We LOVED this experience so much!!!! I was very careful to pick an ethical sanctuary and this one 100% lived up to my expectations. We got to see 7 beautiful elephants that were rescued from bad conditions. It was such a beautiful setting and you could tell the elephants were so well taken care of and loved by the staff. Go to this place!!
Very ethical Elephant sanctuary. Our tickets are how they fund it! Support them. Don't book tours where you can bath them as this stresses them out. This one is very caring for their elephants and saved them. Also lots of opportunities for pictures
Visiting Bukit Elephant Park was truly one of the highlights of my trip. The park offers a beautiful, respectful and ethical environment for interacting with these magnificent animals. Our tour gave us the opportunity to walk along side the elephants in a calm and natural setting. It was amazing to see how well cared and relaxed the elephants were - no chains no pressure to perform just genuine interaction and education. Highly recommended for families, animal lovers and anyone looking for an ethical experience.
Amazing to see the elephants up close. Our guide was very informative. We were able to feed the elephants and take photos with them. We felt that the elephants were looked after really well. Great experience.
Was amazing, very informative and fun without having elephants being put through cruelty for our entertainment which was nice to know. The guide -Gift was lovely and you could see how passionate she is about her job when talking about the elephants and to you. Would recommend anyone here 1000x over any other elephant experience and will support them to fund more rescues of other elephants living in poor conditions
It took us sometime to choose what elephant tour we book from GetYourGuide, luckily we landed on this one. It was a pleasure being guided by Sara in the park I was amazed by how well Sara knows each and every elephant in the park including their different attitude! We were also informed the ELEPHANTS DON’T LIKE BEING RIDED OR BATHED so please avoid doing that. Instead we fed them bananas and made rice balls for them! When you pay for tickets you are also donating the ticket fees to the park ;)
What an unforgettable experience that exceeded our expectations. This is an ethical sanctuary where you are not allowed to ride or wash the elephants. You can feed and some you are allowed to touch (the caretakers will advise who likes what and has to be present at all times). We chose the package where we made the rice balls to feed to the elephants and this was a great experience. This place really cares for the elephants and is giving them their best life now they have been rescued. Out tour was led by Gift, who was very knowledgeable and provided the elephants backgrounds. Some of these are heart breaking but great to see they are now safe and living a much better life. Would 100% recommend!
The park was beautiful, and the elephants were well taken care of. The guide was also very friendly and informative. We had a great time, highly recommend!
Elephant sanctuary was wonderful. We all enjoyed it from 23 months, to nearly 60years all. The trip carterered for all
Visited the sanctuary today. It was very informative to learn about the elephants. There was 7 elephants to see. They are very well cared for after being rescued from other parks who use them to ride on their backs etc. The elephants there have been previously abused. We got to feed them and watch them roam around the sanctuary. It was wonderful! Definitely worth a visit
Our guide was informative and had a genuine love for the elephants. It was a genuine sanctuary for the elephants and you could tell they are loved. We really rated the experience👍
Excellent experience. Great to see the elephants in their own environment moving freely. The staff are amazing and ensure elephants move freely and not forced into any situations. Very ethical and informative. We learned about each individual elephant and their history. It was great to learn about each elephant and their own temperament which allowed us to interact with some elephants (not all) with the support of their individual handlers. Our guide was so lovely and knowledgeable. She answered all questions and was so helpful. (Apologies I forgot her name, but we were at the morning tour on 18th May)
This is a wonderful experience, good to learn a little about elephants and their back stories how they were rescued. We went on the short tour which was enough time to see elephants and take some nice photos the allowed us to feed them and touch the ones that allow it. Also got to see a rubber tree and a demo of how rubber is produced. If you go here put on alot of insect repellent the mosquitos are crazy and top up...and suncream heaps and heaps
This tour was very organized on time a great value for its money. I absolutely loved seeing and feeding the elephants, walking with them in nature seeing them happy and free. This was an absolute highlight of my trip.
What a privilege to walk and feed such amazing creatures in a safe refuge. The caretakers talking and singing to them , showing such devotion. I only have great admiration for them all. Thank you for a lovely day. Debbie Ford
We spent ages trying to find an ethical elephant sanctuary…and we definitely found the perfect one! You are not allowed to ride or wash the elephants…only feed and some you are allowed to touch (the caretakers will advise who likes what and has to be present at all times). We chose the package where we made the rice balls to feed to the elephants too and this was such a lovely experience. This place really cares for the elephants and is giving them the best life now they have been rescued. The elephants are not forced to do anything. They choose to come and be fed or come to the area to meet you. The tour is designed at a specific time for you to fit with the elephants routine ..not the other way round. Some of the elephants backgrounds are heart breaking but they are now safe and happy. A lovely little gift shop where you can buy souvenirs to help support the sanctuary. Would 100% recommend!
Absolutely fantastic park. The staff there are wonderful and the animals are actually very well cared for. Do NOT choose to go to a place where you can ride or wash the elephants. This is NOT in their nature to do this and as they have been rescued, why would you want to put them through any more trauma. Bukit has got it right and know that these beautiful animals deserve respect.
A wonderful experience to visit these beautiful elephants in a peaceful setting. The guide was knowledge about elephant conservation and you could feel the love!
What an experience this was! We had one of the best days ever seeing the elephants! 7 female Asian Elephants who have all been rescued, each with their own care taker who love them like their own children! Was just amazing to feed them and cuddle them! Granny elephant being our fave, 77 years old she was just lovely! We would recommend this to anyone!!
It was our first time in Thailand and at an elephant sanctuary - All I can say is what an experience! We thoroughly enjoyed our day in calming and organised surroundings, our tour guide was exceptional, very friendly and knowledgeable. This park truly felt like a Sanctury where the elephants are truly looked after. We also had refreshments provided aswell as a number of different activities! Would highly recommend !
This was just fab Not too many people either Tour guide was great keeping us up to date with info and the elephants names and ages Got to be close to the elephants and feed them Was just magical I was a bit apprehensive at first as I really dont want to support these kind if touristy traps However the animals were just loved .....yeah they had to come and say hello but they knew we were feeding them We got to make the food then give them it personally Loved it ....go !!!
Lovely intimate elephant sanctuary. Elephants have been rescued from tourist attractions. The cahoots did an excellent job with them. It's definitely worth it! We chose the elephants feeding
our visit at the park was wonderful! Full of informations, respectful and emotional. A thing we will never forget! I cannot recommend this place enough!
great experience more than enough for us with young child recommend it for everyone coming in Phuket or nearby good time for 3yo
Very ethical. No riding, bathing or forced activity. The elephants are all rescued from other facilities that made them work. The park staff allow the elephants to make their own decisions. They guided one to a water pool and it decided not to go in. The staff did not force it and let it walk away. Another elephamt entered the pool on its own. Another elephant wanted to get out of the sun and joined us in the shade under a pavilian. The staff did not interfeer.
The most wonderful experience seeing and feeding the elephants. It was such a relief to find an elephant sanctuary that clearly cared for the elephants and wanted to protect them. We learnt that the elephants there had all been rescued from captivity and now had a safe home, where they could roam in lots of space! It was lovely to learn so much about them and see them play in the water! Would highly recommend.
An amazing experience. The Elephants are not forced to entertain people but just be in nature. Great guide, transport and Softdrinks included. A wonderful experience for the whole family.
Amazing time me and my friend had! Learned so much about the elephants and was able to see their different personalities. You could tell the elephant handlers carried so much about these gentle giants that they rescued. We fed, watch the elephants play, and roam around in a great space. Highly recommended!
Excellent park and great to see the elephants rescued for a better life, we also did the rubber tree visit along with the cooking class which was exceptional, sat down to a beautiful meal with the elephants roaming around, great experience and fantastic guide
