We had a good time at the Kai Islands and enjoyed the tour a lot. The pick up from the hotel went really well and the driver was right on time. When we arrived at the harbour there was a bit of a wait which was quite difficult for our kids, it would have been good to get information right away of how long we would have to wait for everyone to arrive and when we would get on the boat. The staff on the boat was friendly and helpful and the islands are beautiful. We were especially thankful that the organizers helped us so that the driver on the way back dropped us of at the Naka market instead of at the hotel as we had wished. Thank you for this!

Well organized, crew was professional and safe. Islands were beautiful and was a nice quick exploratory experience.
Transport to boat was shocking. They crammed 4 more people in to a mini bus but had no seats for them so people were sitting on others knees. Then some kid in front kept turning the air con off in minibus and playing with fan and gear stick driver was trying to drive but had to contend with this uncontrollable kid. Boat on and off access was poor very little help from staff to get on and off. One side of boat had no step so wife grazed her leg trying to get down off boat and banged her chin on motor. Then when getting off boat at end of tour we all had to balance on a floating pontoon which was wedged up by moored boats at about 30 degree slope staff from our boat more interested in cleaning boat than the safety of their passengers Overall poorly run trip will never use these again
Speedboat trip to the three Khai islands. Friendly, helpful staff. Lots of waiting around before hand was a shame. First island was good snorkelling, we couldn’t stop at the second due to tides. The third had lots of sea urchins to see but an hour was too long. The tiny snorkelling area was choppy due to all the jet skis. No life jackets provided for the boat rides despite a sign saying you should wear them.
Long road transfer to port. On arrival disorganised, very little communication. Boat filled to the max, crammed in. Short boat trips to islands, enough time at each stop. Our friends found it difficult to get back on the boat, due to small step being to high and only about 6 inches in width and water being to deep to step up. They remained on the boat for last two stops as did a few other people, fresh fruit and refreshments offered at last stop but only for the ones who went ashore, when ask crew for fruit and water when they returned, they said that they forgot people remained on the boat, none was offered. At the end, everyone’s transfer left immediately, our driver was sat by our van eating, after 20 minutes he looked inside the van looking at everyone, closed the door and went to the toilet, on his return he then lit a cigarette for another 10 minutes, on finally leaving the port, he then stopped to get fuel another 10 minutes. Not a get trip, rough drive and everyone thought he was high on something.
Everything was arranged well for a relaxing, fun experience. Snacks and beverages were thoughtful and tasty. The snorkeling was good enough for a first-timer, but might be underwhelming if you've done it before. One of the islands was wonderful, with white sand and clear water and minimal activity, very peaceful. The other would have been better if not overwhelmed with visitors and vendors. Transportation on the island is slow. Please keep your schedule loose with this in mind, knowing that a couple hours will be spent getting to the dock and waiting for all of the other passengers to assemble. In the end it is worth it, but some may be disappointed.
Poor communication on what was happening. Too many stops for a short tour. The islands are full of rubbish and they only take you there to make purchases. The workers on the island should be make to keep it neat.
Our last day in Thailand due to fly home at 10pm so though we would do the half day trip to pass time and explore. Advert said 4 hours on get your guide so 11.30am pick up would expect to be done by 15:30. We didn’t get back to our hotel until gone after 7pm the 4 hour boat trip turned into nearly 8 hours leaving us nearly missing our flight home. 2 hour travel time to the pier and 2 hours back to the hotel really needs to be advertised as this was not made aware to us at any point. If we were not travelling home it wouldn’t be an issue but it wasn’t run over by an hour or two it was extremely lengthy. Islands themselves were nice, overcrowded compared to some we have gone to around Thailand.
We took a half-day tour to Khai Island, and while the island itself was beautiful, the experience felt too rushed. Just as we started to relax and enjoy the surroundings, it was time to move again. It would have been much nicer to stay at one spot longer instead of constantly feeling like we were on a schedule. Another downside was the constant extra costs. From buying water shoes to paying to reserve a beach chair, it felt like everything was adding up. The additional sales pitches throughout the trip were a bit much, making the experience less relaxing than we had hoped. Looking back, it would have been better to go with a full-day, all-inclusive tour where everything is covered upfront. That way, you can truly enjoy the island without worrying about unexpected costs or feeling rushed. Despite that, it was still a good day out, and the scenery was stunning. If you’re planning to visit, I’d recommend going for a full-day package to make the most of it!
It was an amazing day! We visited two islands and had ample free time to swim, eat, tan, and snorkel. One of the highlights was snorkelling off one of the islands for 30 minutes – the warm water and vibrant, colourful fish made it unforgettable. The crew was outstanding, providing refreshments and snacks on board. Overall, it was absolutely worth the money and a fantastic way to spend a few hours at sea.
Cool trip! I was with my dad and a friend. We felt very safe during the boat ride. Got to meet some interesting people as well. Special thanks to our tour guide (Johan)
Loved the trip. Thanks for Happy and super nice guide Idea , all i remember is idea have no idea😂 All was perfectly good planned with good boat! We had extra islands small ones 🫶🏽 and tasty fruits! Thank you
Our half-day trip to the Khai Islands was an amazing experience and exactly what we’d hoped for! My partner suffers from sea sickness, so we chose this tour specifically for its shorter boat rides to closer islands rather than the more tourist-dense, further-away spots—and it was the perfect decision. She didn’t experience any sea sickness at all, and the smooth, 15-minute boat journey to the first island was a big plus. The day started with a hotel pick-up from Phuket. The only negative aspect of the experience was the communication re pick-up (though we did only 24 hours before so this was more understandable). We called the afternoon on the day we booked just to confirm pick up time etc, the woman we spoke to said she would send the details for collection etc via WhatsApp. We didn't receive anything, but decided we should wake up in time for the general collection time that was listed on the booking to be safe (meaning 6am wake up). We called them once waking up to double check when we would be collected, and she told us it would actually be at 8.30 from our hotel and she would send it via WhatsApp. We didn't receive anything again but took her word for it, went back to sleep, and were downstairs early for collection. The bus to collect us arrived over 15 minutes late, with no communication of this & when we tried to call the number it didn't work. The driver apologised for the delay and we were off. Once collected the trip went off without a hitch. Once at the pier, everything went smoothly. The check-in process was easy, and there were small shops for last-minute items like snacks, water shoes, or waterproof phone cases. A safety briefing followed, and we were ready to go. The tour itself was fantastic. The first island, known as "Cat Island," was adorable with plenty of friendly cats walking around and snoozing. You can do some shallow snorkelling here in a set area, though I would say the other locations were clearer and had more fish so it may be best to cool off briefly but instead get a nice drink and see the cats. (The photos I've included are all from the first island). This was the most touristy & busy of the 3 islands. Be aware you will initially have quite a few locals trying to sell you jet ski rides, cocktails, food etc. The company had designated deck chair areas with a discount on rental cost. There is a deal with cocktails and deck chairs which is worth it just to sit in the shade. However, the place you get the drinks/food from are actual cafes so you can actually walk behind the masses of deck chairs to these food places to sit at tables there or order from them directly rather than the people advertising for them. Ensure that you bring cash with you, as there is of course not an ATM and they do not take card. The second stop only took 5 minutes to get to, and involved snorkelling off the boat. The water was crystal-clear, and the fish were stunning. Though they said we had 30 minutes it seemed like we were only out for 15 minutes before we got called back in. You were recommended to wear your life jacket at this stage which is understandable. The third and final island was a real highlight—quiet, picturesque, and with excellent shallow-water snorkelling. Fresh pineapple, watermelon, and drinks were provided by the company, which was a nice touch. There were more beach cafes at this location, and there was only one other tour group on the island so it was quiet. There was a designated spot to snorkel in and you could see so many different fish in such shallow water! You could buy a cold drink or snacks from a cafe, rent a deck chair, or snorkel. Everyone we spoke with was very kind and helpful. The boat rides were well-organised, and the crew was attentive and helpful. Returning to the pier, we were offered complimentary noodles before heading back to the hotel. Those on the full day package seemed to be staying longer on the 3rd island, and though some might enjoy that we personally found the half day was the best for us and meant we then had a whole afternoon for other activities. Overall, this tour struck the perfect balance of relaxation, exploration, and adventure without the lengthy boat rides or overcrowded beaches. Despite minor communication hiccups, we highly recommend this experience for anyone looking to enjoy the beauty of the Khai Islands!
Staff was very accommodating, communicate well and assisted with all our needs. Would definitely go with them again.
Brilliant for a young family with 3 kids (5,8,10). Great value for money with the half day just enough adventure before the kids were worn out.
This was our first tour on our first trip to Thailand and what a way to start. Our tour guide was lovely (my partner hugged him at the end) and the trip just the right length to prepare us for a full days island tour the following week. khàawp-khun khâ from Sydney, Australia!
We got on the speedboat with another 28 people and 5 more staff members ,The whole management felt like a market so it was very scary and crowded sailing. The ilands were the opposite of what is expected : short shore because most of it is using as a parking for the speedboats and the other to the market stall. Most of the corals are dead ,the water is cloudy and there arent many fish, It was sad to see .
Awesome tour half day boat tour, Such great people to be around and be the tour guide's awesome work, Downside was the transfer driver's - Half on drugs......... To the point he couldn't even sit still for 2 seconds.
The tour was a little longer than a half day, but had a good time enjoying the beach and the waters off the coast of Phuket
We had a great morning out with the crew, led by the very personable Simon (Soloman). They knew how to avoid the crowds and we got in some good snorkeling. All in all, a great 1/2 day tour to Khai Island.
Nothing like the image! Covered with hundreds of sun beds and umbrellas to rent for an hour to get out of the sun. Many, many boats there at the same time.
Great tour. Well managed. Three islands although the second one is really a boat stop for snorkelling. The organisers took good care of us with fruits and snacks and drinks offered at each island The transfers were on time and Oh Hoo travel was professional and responsive at all times
We were looking for a half day cruise and this worked out perfectly. We visited 3 nice islands and were able to swim and snorkel. Simon and the crew were great and accommodating. Items to be aware of: There will be charges for umbrellas and lounge chairs at two of the islands. They each cost 150 Baht. Water shoes will make the experience much nicer as there are rocks in the water when entering from the beach. There are also sea urchins you need to be aware of. Please also be advised that if you are staying by Patong Beach, it takes about an hour or so to get to the boat. We would do this trip again.
I was disappointed by how boring the Khai islands are. I mainly signed up for the snorkeling, but the first island was so busy there was nothing to see, and the second island where only snorkeling would have been the itenerary was canceled completely due to the jelly fish. I would have given 2 stars, but on the last island Simon took us to see the clownfish which was amazing, so I give 3 stars. Also the guides were super nice, we were given fresh fruits and refreshers, so it is really not the guides' fault, but the nature of the Khai islands really.
This is a great half day trip to be out in the waters abd do some snorkeling. We saw lots of fish in the second island ( we jumped off the boat here) and also in the first island. Did not see any corals. The arrangements were excellent and the staff were very helpful. One had to pay for an umbrella and chairs at each island that we stopped at. But you could choose not to and bring your own mat along. It is very hot with no shade. The last island had a lovely calm lagoon that one could swim in
This trip was amazing! Our tour guide Simon was so lovely and made sure we got the most out of the trip - he even took some of us out snorkelling individually to make sure we didn’t miss out on seeing the beautiful coral. The islands were stunning and we had plenty of time to enjoy them all.
We had a great day at the Khai islands. The beaches were beautiful, and not crowded as some reviews suggested. The snorkelling from the boat was great fun as well. The crew could not have been more helpful. They had some difficult passengers to deal with but did so brilliantly. Free drinks and snacks throughout were a really welcome touch.
We visited 3 islands. Only the 3rd one we could see some fish with snorkling. The first one however is a beautiful beach. The second stop had to be canceled due to a strong current. All in all a nice trip!
Sounds and looks amazing in the brochure, but it is not a pristine white beach. It’s littered with trash and there are boats backed up there like cars in New York City. Hundreds of people, 15 or so boat loads full at any given time. Extra charges for beach chairs, drinks on each island, etc. Not worth the time and $$. We had to leave at 0745, wait an hour at the pier, departed about 0930, got about 30-40 minutes on the first two stops and an hour on the last. Mask and snorkel provided, but no fins. Water dirty and beaches trashed. Sad to see. Thank goodness we only did a 1/2 day, but seriously overpriced and not recommended
We arrived at the tour office at 8am. We didn’t get on the boat until 10am. And the tour was back at the harbor by 1pm. 3 islands, literally 30-45 min on each island. The first stop was sooooo crowded and no shade so you have to pay 150b to sit under umbrella for 30 minutes. As soon as you sit down you are constantly barraged with drink orders and vendors. And the small swimmable “beach” between big boats was ridiculous, with lots of people in the water! Couldn’t wait to leave. The next island is a short 20 min snorkel and third island was about 45 min . I would recommend another tour this was not worth the cost and time taken to/from harbor. Read the reviews before booking.
For the price was ok. The beaches were very crowded, the organisation was average. The guide was very nice. If you pay more for other tours you can see a huge difference.
A great snorkelling trip with our kids. Didn’t mind paying for the beach chairs-supporting the island locals. Time passed quickly at each island. Would definitely recommend!
Much better than expected. We were a little concerned based on some of the other reviews, but this ended up being a fantastic trip! It's perfect for families or someone who doesn't want to spend too much time on a boat. The beach and snorkeling at the first island were phenomenal. Second "island" is just for snorkeling off the boat, but the fish and coral here were amazing. Third island was busy, but relaxing and fun. Bobby was our guide and he made the trip even more special! He spent extra time showing the kids special snorkeling areas and was very kind and helpful. Thank you Bobby!
Really enjoyed the half day trip to the 3 Khai Islands. Simon our tour guide was lovely and did a great job. Enjoyed each island and felt we had enough time on each given it was a half day tour. Given 4/5 rating as I thought the speedboat was a little packed. I realise it’s only a short trip out to the islands but as we were all made to wear life jackets on the trip out I felt we were packed in like sardines a bit.
It was an average excursion. I didn’t like the extra charges for chairs at the two islands, feel that the priority was to get you to spend more at these places and less on the actual quality of the places to see. The taxi to the pier was over an hour because we had to pick up others first. If you are going for a great experience pass on this. If you want to snorkel for cheap then maybe it’s the right choice. Very few half day trips.
Fantastic experience to 3 snorkeling spots with beautiful coral and fish! Tour guides were great and day went smoothly. Car pickup from hotel was super handy and you spend about 45 minutes driving in luxury to the Marina. Aqua socks are a must and some spending money - tho fresh fruit and drinks are gratefully provided. Thanks to Simon and the team!
Fantastic crew and beautiful islands. Loved the clear water and beautiful white sand beaches. Must do tour.
They canceled on us the night before the booking sending us an email after 23:00 so we didn't see it until we thought we would be leaving the next morning. I messaged them and have received no reply. And we have gotten NO refund or anything.
Superb tour the islands are gorgeous and the crystal clear water is everything! If you don’t how to swim you’ll be able to see fish and corals without having to dive it’s so nice!
Make sure to bring swimming shoes to protect your feet from the urchins. (You can purchase them at the marina shop, but it's good to arrive prepared.) Don't forget refreshments (water, soda, fruit) are provided but you can also purchase drinks and snacks from the islands. And don't touch the coral reefs while you're snorkeling! I can't believe how beautiful this experience was (first time snorkeling--incredible), and the half day was perfect for me + my budget. I felt taken care of by the staff, they were super organized and friendly. It was easy to follow directions. I got as much time in the water/on the beach/in the shade as I wanted. So lovely. Highly, highly recommend!!!!! My only comments are to take note of where your boat is parked on the third island, there were maybe 20 boats so I got confused for a moment. Be aware it is 150-200 Baht to sit in the beach chairs. And the itinerary was a bit confusing, note that the 1:30pm departure and 5:00/5:30pm arrival are from the marina, so you'll need to add time for transportation between your hotel and the marina. Kata is about 1 hour drive away. Awesome that free pickup is included. Have fun :))))))))
Fantastic boat crew and beautiful islands. Great swimming and snorkeling and well organised. Only downside was waiting 45 minutes after the scheduled pick up time to be picked up
The trip consists of several island visits which weren't the information we had, we wanted to visit one of them. The team were nice and flexible and arranged it for us. The boat was packed with people which made it a bit uncomfortable sometimes.
Great crew, beautiful islands and wonderful time. Great value and lots to see snorkeling. Would highly recommend this tour!
Amazing views , staff friendly and Funny was a great experience would recommend, I would go on a sunny day as the rain did spoil it a little for us both but amazing views 😊
684 / 5.000 Übersetzungsergebnisse You are welcome to take the tour, but never through Viator. Book through a local supplier. The Viator site contains incorrect or incomplete claims. We waited until the evening before to cancel the booked trip. You could have made a note that this could happen when booking. The half-day tour on the Viator site is only possible in the morning. The local organizer then send times that only afternoon is possible. In addition, there is still missing information on the possibilities and procedure for picking up from the hotel. we were driven 2 hours and 40 minutes across Phuket. War then feels like going on a snorkeling tour. Never Again Viator in Thailand
Very good trip, team on top, helpful, a lot of explanation, Fresh drinks and fruits . I recommend this company
The guide is very entertaining and attentive. Other crew also helpful, they prepare drinks and bread and fruits during the trips. The island was so beautiful. As this is our first time bring my young kids to island, we took half day tour to 3 Khai Island, the staying time at 1st and 3rd Island was around 50min to 1 hour. It was too short for them to explore and snorkeling. I didnt get a chance to took photo.
Tour has been as expected: nice staff, quick stops, everything provided or offer for cheap prices. you got what you paid for. Worth the money though.
I must say all we had a very good experienced for this trip! We are happy to book this tour as the host and team are very friendly and helpful throughout our half day trip. 3 islands for the price we paid is consider value for money.
Beautiful island - but we have never seen so many tourists in such a small area - and it actually stank from pis close to the buildings 😳 Tourists can be such a 🐷 🐷 🐷😣 not taking there garbage with them ... It was sad to see - hope the government will take care of it before it get totally destroyed 🤞🏻
