James Bond Island & Phang Nga Bay Canoeing By Big Boat

Wonderful day with Sam our host. The big boat is a leisurely way to admire the beautiful scenery and being able to walk around both decks is perfect for photography. The lunch was delicious and plenty of snacks all day. The staff were very helpful getting us on and off the canoe and longboat. As older people I didn’t expect to do this and it was fabulous so thanks to all. Don’t wear trainers as they will get wet getting off the longboat at James Bond island. Crocs or flip flops are the best option. Highly recommended

A lovely day was had by us all with the guys from BJ Canoeing. Picked up in a mini-bus, which admittedly had little legs room, but was comfortable enough. AC blowed cold anyway. Arriving at the location, we were greeted and our names taken for insurance. We were introduced to the guide and given some basic safety tips. Coffee and a few breakfast snacks were available. Then you walk to the pier, get picked up in a truck and taken to the end of the pier and get on a reasonable sized double decker boat. Apart from a few, most people were directed to go to the top. There was sun shade, so all good, and enough seating for everyone. All along the trip, we were given water, squash and biscuits. James Bond island was good, even the transfer to longtail boat, then on to the other islands. I don't swim, though my family do, so they did the canoe trips, which were great. Food was good, and typically Thai. Additional fruit was then given for the trip back, as well as coffee/tea. When approaching dock, everyone was given an ice lolly. Guides, though difficult to understand at times (could be them or the PA) were friendly and very helpful. Scenery was breathtaking. Glad we did the big boat as the speed boats and long tail boats bounced around in ship wakes. Back to the pier and taken back to the hotel. Great communication too. Please remember to take crocs, flipflops or beach shoes as the beach on James Bond island can be sharp.

We joined this tour with our two children (2 and 4 year old). We had a wonderful time. The program offers variation and the staff members (and other guests) were great with the children. Because the boat is bigger, the children could explore and walk around. Would very much recommend this tour for families.

If you want to see a very famous island (James Bond Island) and knock canoeing in a bat cave off your bucket list I recommend this tour. The pace is very laid back and almost all ages can participate. The food is great (authentic Thai cuisine) and served on board. This is a good tour to do alongside the Phi Phi Island tour which is more hectic and active, and allows you to see different islands as well.

JD and crew onboard took a lot of effort to make this big boat tour from phuket a relaxing day out. Everyone will sit upstairs to get great views and breeze. Coffee tea biscuits and cold water plus fruit juice on tap. Includes kayaking with expert local paddlers who take you around the inlets and coves ans caves with tunnels.

Amazing! Surely a must see!!! I had a lifetime experience and my heart is now full of wonderful memories!

The actual activity itself was amazing. We had James as our tour guide and he was brilliant. Lots of fun. The lunch provided was better than others experienced. If you are expecting to kayak yourself, you won’t be doing this. You are in the kayak with a guide and they paddle you everywhere. James Bond island itself was disappointing. So so busy and lots of sellers of souvenirs. We got to see some monkeys on one of the other islands which was fab.

I had such a great time on this tour. Got to see everything and more than I expected. The canoeing and swimming were some of my greatest highlights. Love the scenery, food, awesome and super fun crew, and got some great memorable pictures. I would definitely recommend this group tour this company takes care of you from the beginning to the end (hotel pick up/drop off included…additional fees may apply due to location) check before booking. One last highlight I enjoyed witnessing one of the crew members hold one of the guest 1yr old baby. The baby was so happy and the parents were happy to have a little break as well. If I could give more stars I would. Thank you for an unforgettable experience.

We had a fabulous time! The big boat went at a nice speed to enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the islands. The crew made it fun, safe and relaxing. The canoeing exceeded my expectations...it was a fun day!

Great B.J Canoeing tour company was great, the staff were very friendly, travelled with a 20 months old, the staff was very helpful when getting in and out. Excellent tour, worth for the price you pay.

Friendly staff, decent food, drinks and snacks. The kayak person we had was great and friendly. James Bond Island was awesome. Main boat was clean but a bit fuller of travelers.

We had a really great and valuable experience during the tour. It was very convenient and entertaining traveling with them. The whole tour was exceeding expectations!!! Highly recommend for couples, families, solo and group travelers.

I would rate as a full 5 star but regrettably the morning driver from our hotel to boat was running late so the ride was rather wacky races. I gave him a few pointed words before our return drive which worked 👍 The trip itself was great. SAM the tour lead was brilliant and attentive as we're his multiple staff. Food and drinks all good and flowing. It's a beautiful day out not to be .missed and good value imo .

Overall good experience. The operator reached out to confirm pick up time. The driver arrived on time. The boat was clean and they had plenty of drinks/food. One of the restroom locks was broken so I almost walked in on a lady. Activities were fun - i didnt think I would enjoy hopping between the islands and only spending 30 minutes at each location but I was mistaken. I only wish I had known about the souvenier shops at James Bond island. I personally buy souveniers when I travel but almost didn't bring cash with me. Be prepare to get swarmed by the vendors and to haggle on the price.

James Bond Island trip was wonderful. Great canoeing and every spot we stopped at was exceptional. Well organised and great guide. Certainly a "must do"

We had a long day but made some amazing memories seeing James Bond Island and canoeing in Hong island and through the caves. Tour guide was great, buffet lunch was tasty. Plenty of tea, coffee and soft drinks provided throughout the day. However the boat was not the one shown on the reviews here with upper wooden deck with sunbeds and space to move around. I’m not sure if our tour was fully booked as I didn’t count everyone but we were packed in to the upper deck of a boat with just bench seats to sit on all day. Downstairs was for smoking. As the tour is very long , around 6 hours it does become a little uncomfortable. We still saw spectacular scenery and canoeing was great but maybe not the premium boat trip that the pictures lead us to believe.

Very well organised. The buffet and food was tasty and enough for everyone. Very friendly and helpful staff on the boat and canoes.

James Island was good for pictures and we enjoyed the cave canoe as well. The lunch on the boat was also above expectations.

I’m part disabled and received excellent support and encouragement from the first class crew and guide but I wasn’t up to the kayaking.. They even recognised my birthday! Thanks everybody, Peter& Cathy

I truly wish I could give this trip more than 5 stars because it is well worth the cost! Took a big boat from Phuket, trip included the famed James Bond island and also the caves of Hong and Phanak islands in canoes! Crew went above and beyond making the trip wonderful. Tour guide Mana was so impressive that I declare him a Thai national treasure! He was that good. Thank you to him and the entire staff at BJ Canoeing for this incredible adventure!!!!

This was a lifetime of memories in a single day. The islands are other worldly beautiful. The guide and all of the staff were kind, fun and professional. One of the best experiences in my long life.

Best day on the water- seeing James Bond Island, canoeing through the caves - you do not do paddling even, buffet lunch and many other beautiful scenery. Take swimmers, sunscreen and sunglasses. Plenty of water supplied. Found the guide Mana’s English difficult to understand as I am partially deaf. English is Mana’s second language. Thanks to all the crew. Great day and highly recommend to anyone fit enough to get from big boat to canoe. We did it and we are 67. Long day - left 8 am and got home 7 pm

Beautiful views very calm easy tour. I had a great experience on this tour I went by myself and sweet Kim (who works only on Fridays) was so kind and so sweet helping me take photos of myself. The food was delicious the boat was clean and the crew was nice and helpful.

Service 100%, value you for money,food onboard lovely,trip timed perfectly so not to not to be caught with large crowds at any 1 stop. All in all a good trip.

Wonderful trip. Kayaking to the hidden mangrove lagoon was the highlight of the trip. Staff was really enthusiastic and friendly.

Not to miss. The canoeing experience into the lagoons is unique. The staff accommodating and friendly. Despite not being lucky with the weather we enjoyed the day.

The crew was amazing, the trip was exciting, very easy going, nothing was rushed, great with all on board.

Relaxing day to view to view the islands and adventure and explore. The trip was well planned and the crew was helpful. Food was delicious and the boat was comfortable. It rained a brief moment and the crew was quick to draw the sides down. Jumping into the water and swimming around was a favorite. The canoeing was beautiful!

This tour totally exceeded our expectations. We looked into it for visiting James Bond Island and that didn't even end up being the hilight of the trip (as cool as it was). The canoeing in the caves and walking through the mangrove trees at low tide was incredible. The long ride on the big boat was so relaxing before the excitement of each island. With complimentary snacks and drinks all day, the cool ocean breeze and lovely guides who were so knowledgeable about the area, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

The whole team were so efficient, kind and caring. Everything done with a smile, all clean and an overall wonderful experience. We love how organised everything was from being picked up from our hotel to being dropped back. The excursion itself was so much fun! What you see / read is what you get and more! Thank you so much to Jimmy as he nailed leading this tour! Special thanks to Sam who also stayed closed by us during our time on the trip, went on the canoe with us both times, discussed the history of the caves and showing us everything there was to show and tell, took our wonderful photos and also made a ring in the shape of a rose out of a plastic straw, what talent!!! This was a really nice tour to see Phang Nga bay. The only downside was the amount of driving that was involved. Part of that was where we stayed on Phuket but the boat does dock at the northeast corner of the island so it was about 1.5 hours each way. That being said the actual cruise was great. We went kayaking through caves and into small little inlets and we had someone doing the paddling for us. All of the crew was very friendly and the food was awesome. We were able to swim off to boat and a small little beach as well.

Wow! What an incredible experience! The wonderful islands and scenery we experienced with 5 star service! Everything was very organized! I was amazed how the staff managed 80 people on the boat. We had some young kids even a baby & the staff catered to everyone’s needs with a smile.

This trip was well worth it! This was one of our favourites of our 10 day stay in Thailand. Jimmy was very accommodating and made sure everyone was well hydrated and fed, which can't be the same for some of the other advertised tours. We recommend this to anyone who is in Phuket and wants a full day trip involving several activities.

Amazing experience! The tour company was incredibly organized. The canoeing through caves was an unforgettable experience. Th food was great too! Everyone in my group ages 5 to 41 were so pleased with the whole day.

Of the several boat tours that we did whilst in Thailand, this one was the most relaxing and also had the smoothest journey (you could barely feel the boat moving). After being picked up from our hotel in Patong, we travelled to Ao Po Pier (we were the first to be picked up and at both of the other stops, we had to wait about 10 minutes each time for other people to join so I'd recommend a private transfer if it's an option). We then arrived at the pier where there was a comfortable waiting area with toilets, snacks and drinks. Drinks and snacks were available on the boat for the duration of the trip which was great. At our first stop (Hong Island), we got into kayaks and had about 30 minutes where we we paddled around by a tour guide - this was great fun and the scenery was lovely. We then hopped back into the boat and travelled to James Bond Island. The boat itself was too large to dock so we got into a longtail boat for a really quick transfer (about 2 minutes) to the island. This stop was incredibly crowded, which is probably to be expected given that it attracts many tourists, and was our least favourite part of the tour. This is obviously nobody's fault but it's worth being prepared for! We had about 30-45 minutes here which was perfect - any longer would've been too long as there simply wasn't enough space on the island for everyone. After another journey, we arrived at Panak Island where we once again got into kayaks to be paddled by our tour guides. At the first kayak stop, you could wonder why it was necessary to have a guide paddling the kayak for you (we didn't mind as it meant that we could relax and enjoy the scenery); however, at Panak Island it became very clear why it was necessary! To get to the mangrove area, we had to be paddled through a dark tunnel filled with stalactites. In places, the ceiling was so low that we had to fully lay down in the kayaks and the only light came from the guide's head torch. We absolutely loved this but can imagine the chaos that could possibly occur if tourists were paddling themselves and got a bit panicked or stuck! We had some time to explore the mangroves in the kayak before heading back to the boat. Back on the boat, we were served a delicious lunch (I'm a vegetarian and was perfectly happy with the options available) and then headed to the final stop where we give able to either swim (don't bother bringing a snorkel as the water wasn't clear enough) or relax on the boat. Highly recommend this tour - we really enjoyed it. The only thing that could have made it better was transfer times being reduced by spending less time waiting for people.

Well organised. Good staff interesting trip. Not much to see on James Bond Island though. Canoe trip is good as well as swim off the boat. Fodd given was also fine.

We actually did the luxury catamaran tour. Great boat and lunch. Lots of places to sit and relax. Canoeing was really fun. Take some tipping money for the Canoeing. Tried to get my purse but Canoeing had gone before I could get back to him.

The transfer from the hotel to the pier was very quick and comfortable. The tour itself was great - we enjoyed the cruise between stunning islands and we had enough time to see everything on the James Bond island. There were 2 canoeing stops - we didn't know if we would enjoy canoeing with a professional paddler as we love canoeing on our own but it turned out great - we were taken to some narrow caves and bays where we wouldn't manage to go on our own. The swimming part was great too. There was a good lunch, fruits, bottled water and other beverages - everything included in the price. I absolutely recommend this tour.

It's definitely a full day, very long drive, tour guide was decent but pretty fast trying to get everyone sorted. Canoeing experience was good. Just enough time to get your photos needed at James Bond Island. Lunch served was average.

This was a magical experience for our 3 and a half years together. We enjoyed the canoeing and obviously the James Bond island aswell. This is a MUST !!! Very organised.
