Half Day Tropical Coral Island Snorkeling Tour From Phuket

Although the trip was a fun day out. The snorkelling wasn’t great. You get to snorkel on the beach and only get 30 minutes at the actual snorkelling spot. The tour operating staff were great.

Family of 7 including grandparents and young children. Overall we enjoyed the half day trip - the pick up from hotel went smoothly, the guide was very friendly and the kids enjoyed the snorkelling (you snorkel from the beach you don’t jump off the boat). The equipment was in very good condition. Some things to be aware of - the small speed boat to take us to the island was so full that we were all squashed shoulder to shoulder. When you get off you have to walk on the wobbly bridge and many people slipped over. The island is very busy full of tourists all doing similar trips with various companies.

The pickup were on time and the driver was nice. But it Said it was included but we had to pay after all. And the drive over there was not great. We had to walk a bit after they dropped is off. wasnt that far but still something we Serena prepared off. the scuba diving equipment was so bad. It was leaking no matter what we tried, and they didnt clean the mouth pierce after we used if. They put it with the unused ones. They were not the best at giving information too but it works. And there was a bunch of Trash and styro foam in the water we went snorkeling too (if they wouldve went where the other boats were we coudve done it in clean water. But the Beach at the end was nice.

I've been snorkeling in a few places before, and Coral Island was still a pleasant surprise. The water was clear enough to spot plenty of fish, and there was enough free time to enjoy the beach instead of constantly moving around.

The organization of the tour is great. We booked one day before the tour and the Viator chat was instant upon answering our questions before us paying for the tour. The actual service provider also sent us whatsapp messages for pick up details instantly. There is soda and water provided during the trip. The Kahung Beach is very nice with white sand and clear water. There is a restaurant on the beach and prices are touristy prices as expected. Food is okay. The team and the speedboat brought us to the other side of the island for snorkeling. Yet, the water on that side was deep and clouded. We could have better spent that 30 mins back at the beach. So my two cents is spend that snorkeling time on your own at the white beach. It would be more lovely if there is one more hour on the beach as we did not arrive island until 1pm with delays at the pier when we first started. We needed to return at 330pm. As others discussed, the team gave us the life jackets only on the way, not returned. They also expected some tips at the end of the tour. So prepare some small notes. If you want to spend half day outside Phuket main island, it could be a good choice.

The pick-up time was as agreed, the boat was clean and the guides were helpful and friendly. LOVED Coral beach - the water is clear and the sand is white. We could play in the water all day. The smoothies were tasty.

SCAM SCAM SCAM Do not use this company. I booked for a half day snorkeling trip. Reached the pick up point and went to the office. Was asked to wait. I asked them - are we going to go the snorkel side on boat and snorkel off the boat ? He said yes .. We reach the site which is their kind of “private island” where we were very promptly told - due to weather we are not going in water so goto beach and chill. U can see fishes but there r many sea urchins so be careful - rest it’s upto you. The chairs are chargeable in island The food is 10x expensive than Phuket mainland The beer is 20x expensive than a regular bar in Phuket Basically this is a money printing machine where they bring u to an island and say - do what u want u r stuck here Never ever using this again

It was a bumpy ride because of the tide, but it was worth it. The snorkeling was inly 30 minutes-it was beautiful! You can see the fishes and the corals. You can continue to swim and snorkel when you are at the beach. Everything was organized well.

Great half day tour. Coral island was beautiful. We got to sit back & relax. Food on the island was beautiful. Crew were great. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

had a great time when in the water. staff seemed to young and not organised as our 1st interaction was with a unsupervised trainee. Everyone was given a life jacket to get to the island, but no life jackets distributed, not even to children, on the return trip. Being taken to the other side of the island for snorkelling was wonderful. Make sure to take money as other things to do will cost you money. Also there is a bar and kiosks on the island, so you will need money for that. Very touristy. We did have a great day though, and I was given help and advice when I struggled with my snorkel gear.

Easy no stress snorkeling experience, pick up and drop off at hotel and good communication so we knew exactly what was happening.

Ship them in,ship them out. 15 minutes in the sea for snorkeling...oh by the way we are warned as we step on the sea,there are jelly fish in there,that will sting. The rest of the trip was on a very expensive, highly touristy island...want a restaurant seat by the ocean side? It will cost you £7 before you even choose your food! Not a good tour at all

This short, half-day trip was a perfect introduction to island trips from Phuket. We are looking forward to more. Transfer from the hotel was excellent and prompt. The tour started on time and all our needs were catered for. Snorkeling was amazing for our first experience in Thailand. The guide was very friendly and informative. Very happy with everything!

The experience exceeded our expectations. Perfect outing for a half-day, comfortable and prompt pickup in an aircondition van, spacious, leather seats, a 20-30min hop down to the harbour, and from tgere off on a large speed boat, with maybe 12-13 others. Cold drinks and fruit throughout, friendly staff, fantastic snorkeling for about 40min and the rest of the time spent at Kahung beach, fantastic white sands and turquoise water, lovely for a swim. Good dining options on the beach.

Our party of 8 had a great time and the teenagers really enjoyed the snorkeling. Would certainly recommend.

Picked this trip as a filler since we were changing hotels and had no plans. Turned out to be a fab choice....the organization was very good and the island lovely. I know there is a full day option......and I will make sure to do it next time! lovely time in a lovely small island. Highly recommended.

Super half day trip! Driver was on time and took us to the marina. Quick boat ride and in 20 minutes you are transported to a stunning beach with beach chairs, a bar, food and pristine beaches. We snorkelled and saw some cool tropical fish. I even saw two hornbills. Worth the money

It was a great experience. The sea was a little choppy on the trip to Coral island and back to Phuket, obviously this is not an issue that the operator can control, but they did their best to make the trips as smooth as possible given the sea conditions. Their staff are very professional, very helpful, and available on the island if you need them.

Lovely island, great location, clean and well kept but too many people. Watch out for them to stop people snorkeling at low tide.

First off we booked. We are not staying at a hotel son picked the closest hotel they had on their list. Then get a message from the organizer, requesting the specific address. I tell her we are not actually staying at that hotel and she then says they can pick us up just down the road closer to where we are staying. Okay. Then next day I get a message stating that pick up is not offered in our area so 250 baht for each of us has to be paid on day of tour. After a few more questions, fine we agreed to pay the extra fee. I was asked again to send location of pick up. I sent it. Asked again to send in a linked format. So AGAIN I sent it. Morning of tour we get picked up. I give the 500 baht to the driver. 1 1/2 hours of driving around Phuket picking up other people. We get checked in and I am asked to pay the 500 baht… I said I paid it. “Oh okay” They they proceed to ask everyone else for pick up money…. BUT they all say it was included in price. (This did not start off well for me) After that: ZERO communication. Zero Welcome. And we WAIT. I finally asked what is going on and I was told we had to wait another 15 minutes. So finally at 12:20 we are told to follow her down to the pier. We get on the boat and get dropped off at Coral Island. Again, zero communication that there are juices and water offered. We get to the area to meet to be told a bit of information. 1:10pm Up Sale Time! So much for snorkeling….that’s another boat ride. We opted to use our own masks and stayed at the immediate beach area. Meet back at this spot at 3:40pm to get on boat for return. Again zero communication that there is fresh fruit and beverages for everyone. These people do this job everyday! Could they possibly make it a little more entertaining?? Only thing that made this worth it was that we didn’t have to drive the crazy Phuket traffic.

Lovely day at Coral Island! Pick up was on a minibus, that took us to Nakorn Marine offices to wait for the rest of the group to get gathered. A short walk to the pier and the speed boat (lifajackets we're included for kids also). 15min ride on the speed boat later we arrive to Kahung Beach. The pier we arrived to is made of these pontoon-ish pieces, so bit of a wobble to get to the beach. Once there the guide gave us clear instructions about the schedule for the day; we could go snorkeling on the other side of the island or just stay at the beach for the whole 3h. We opted for snorkeling, so had a quick bathroom break (there were two on the island, the one near the "altar" was marginally better), left our extra bags in the lockers (100baht) and headed back to the boat. 5min around the island and some basic rules for snorkeling and off we went. The gear was okay and many opted to wear life jackets while in water to float around better. We saw lots of smaller fish right on the surface and some urchins and other crawlers in the bottom. Had a fun time snorkeling for 30min (heard later there had been fruit and sodas for the ones getting on the boat sooner). Back to Kahung where we bought some drinks and a snack from the bar, after which it was already time to go! To our surprise the trip included a ride back to the hotel straight from the Chalung pier (the wording in the reservation was a bit vague). All in all the time flew by quickly and we got what we paid for (or more even)! Don't expect a luxury cruise and wear some clothes/shoes you don't mind getting wet, and you'll have a fun day!

The weather didnt really play ball and once arriving on the island there wasn't a whole lot to do other than eat drink and relax due to weather. One cool thing and by far the highlight of the island was feeding the local birds. They aren't toucans, horn bills maybe? Getting onto and off of the boat was pretty sketchy, would not recommend for elderly of people with bad legs. The boat ride itself was also absolutely insane, I loved it but I can imagine alot of people hating it haha

A truly lovely day out! Staff all very friendly, well organized and punctual. Amazing to walk off the beautiful beach and see fish almost right in the surf. Would definitely go again.

The notice of the Spanish tour misleadingly mentions diving; upon arrival, they only allow snorkeling and charge extra for diving, false advertising. Moreover, they arrived very late to pick us up, and the activity on the beach was reduced to less than two hours.

Great organized transfer to the island. Great guides and all in time. The island is really worth it and snorkeling on site is great.

Well organized hotel pickup service, very punctual and accurate both outward and return. The excursion offers the freedom to stay on the beach as we did, snorkeling from the shore or being transported offshore by speedboat. It is not specified that snorkeling material is provided only in this second case. Water, soft drinks and some fruit only offered at the end of the excursion on the speedboat returning to the pier.
