Great discovery scuba experience! Great value with the boat, meals, equipment, instruction and training provided. GLT to see a lot of amazing fish in the wreck, artificial and natural reefs. Our guide Olivier was very informative and patient with teaching us all the safety information, and pointed out all the great marine life we saw including a moray eel, lion fish and school of batfish. The boat was accomodating in making a vegan noodle dish upon request. Great first scuba experience!

This was my very first overseas solo diving experience, and Coach Lung was incredibly attentive and guided me the entire way, making me feel completely safe and secure. The filming techniques were amazing and endlessly creative, and afterward, Coach Lung color-graded all the videos and sent them to me—truly dedication at its best. This was a magical experience! We started the day with a boat trip to bring us to the diving area. Breakfast was offered and Pomme gave us the introduction with a lot of humour which put us at ease. We had two dives of about an hour each and the reefs and marine life were incredibly beautiful! We absolutely loved the experience and would go back ! Thank you!

This was my first time scuba diving, and it exceeded every expectation. From the moment we got in the water, the experience was unforgettable. The instructors made everyone feel comfortable and safe, which made it easy to relax and truly enjoy the dive. Swimming around after the dive was just as much fun, and I had some great conversations with the crew and everyone on board. The food was amazing and incredibly refreshing after spending time in the water. We experienced just about every type of weather throughout the day, from bright sunshine to rain, but the ocean stayed warm the entire time, making the experience enjoyable from start to finish. This adventure gave me a whole new appreciation for the underwater world, and I am already looking forward to getting scuba certified so I can do it again. 25 yo solo traveler here, was super nervous traveler but from the time I arrived to the pier, I felt extremely safe and excited. I believe my instructors name was Lung🤙🤙We boarded got situated, went through all of the diving equipment and headed off for our first dive. Being in the middle of rainy season, the waters were pretty rough but nothing unbearable. I was able to take a few naps and felt completely safe. Our first drive was awesome, but nothing compared to the second we were ableto see a sea turtle. I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone who ask our instructor was protective and explained everything well while not being overbearing and let us try to do a few things on our own. He made sure to hold her hand if we needed help or just wanted to check in overall 10 out of 10. For the discovery dive, I believe you are only allowed to be with one instructor for every two people so there was only one other person I was diving with, which also was really great

It was my first dive. My guide, Lung, was very helpful and patient with me. He does regular checks on our oxygen tank to ensure it's enough. Bring us to a nice spot to see the corals and fishes. Helped with taking GoPro videos and pictures. Highly recommend the activity.

The experience of scuba was amazing, and since we were also first-time divers, it was a little frightening before the scuba, but when we actually went there, it was very smooth. The instructors were very helpful in helping us understand how to breathe in water, how to stay calm, and it was a completely smooth experience. The whole day was amazing in terms of picking you up from the hotel that you are staying at to dropping you back at your hotel while covering the Scuba at Racha Islands. In terms of crowd, there was minimal crowd at the boat as well, so it was very comfortable for us to travel to the Racha Islands and then come back from there. It's all thanks to our amazing instructors Pomme & Ooty who were really helpful and so energetic that they brought so much energy within ourselves that we were able to enjoy the whole scuba experience to the fullest.

Our family of five (two divers and three non-divers) had the most incredible experience with SSS Phuket Dive Centre. We were genuinely blown away by the skill and professionalism of Nico and Ootdy from start to finish. Nico was unbelievably patient and supportive with our daughter, making her feel completely at ease, while Ootdy expertly guided us through the sea with total confidence. The marine life was breathtaking. We saw a huge variety of beautiful fish, moray eels, and the absolute highlight was spotting a turtle. Wow! They also captured the entire experience with photos and videos, which means we can relive such a special day again and again. It truly was one of the best days of our lives. If you’re thinking about diving in Thailand, don’t hesitate because SSS Phuket are phenomenal.

First timer here. Went with a friend for diving in April. Pomme is a great instructor, explaining everything in easy way, very positive attitude and vibes. Helpful in the water, taking a good care and making sure everyone is safe. Would recommend this tour 100% especially if it’s your first time. Transfers were nice as well. Easy to make arrangements, they also have different language instructors

This was one of the best experiences in Phuket! Our instructor Nat was very patient kind, and made the experience even better for being our first time scubba diving! She took lots of photos and videos for us under water while we focused on our first time scuba diving. We will definitely be back to scuba dive with Nat!

We had great communication with SSS regarding the booking of a whole days diving with a non-diver guest. We were picked up early from our hotel and taken to the port where we met the diving instructor allocated to one of our party and one other. Lang was a great instructor, spending time on the dive boat on our way to the 1st island with the 2 beginner divers explaining the key points. X2 50 minute dives on 2 different islands were thoroughly enjoyed, as was snorkelling by the non-diver. There was an option to pay extra for a 3rd dive too. We had a good choice of breakfast on the boat including toast, eggs and vegetables, fruit mid-morning, rice and vegetables and chicken for lunch, and fries and chicken late afternoon. Lang was patient and calm. He took many photos and videos that he shared with us for an extra charge. We thoroughly enjoyed this day trip with SSS and with Lang, and would recommend them.

Amazing experience! The water was super clear, tons of fish everywhere, and it felt so calm underwater. A bit scary at first, but totally worth it. Would 100% do it again. 🤿

I went on this outing with my wife and neither of us had done scuba diving before. She had a great time and our guide took amazing pictures and videos of her sessions. I learned quickly though that I can't handle scuba diving. This is not the fault of the establishment and I am not giving them a poor review because of this. Even though none of the preconditions they warn you about apply to me, you don't know how you'll respond to it until you try it. No big deal - I am glad I tried it. My first complaint is that after the boat left to travel to the dive spot our instructor gave us two documents to sign. At this point the ship has literally set sail and there are many other tour groups on it, so there is no going back. The documents include a liability waiver and a very long list of preconditions they warn you could be problematic if you go forward with diving. This list is much more extensive than the list here on TripAdvisor. So at this point if you decide you don't agree with the terms of the waiver or you realize you have a previously unmentioned precondition that would affect your experience then you are going to be stuck on a boat doing nothing for a day. Both of these documents should be provided well before the day of the outing so customers have ample time to fully consider them. I signed the documents after ensuring I didn't have any health issues listed. Our instructor then gave us verbal instructions of how to dive and operate the gear. This was supplemented with videos on her iPad. The instruction was good, but it is a lot to take in as someone new to diving. You need to breath a certain way, you need to regularly pop your ears a certain way, there is a specific method for clearing water out of your mask, defogging your mask, instructions for clearing water out of your breathing tube in case that happens, and hand signals for indicating whether you are okay to keep going or you need to stop. The instructor will control your ascent and descent with a device on your suit. It's manageable, but a lot. And the way you are supposed to pop your ears (hold your nose and blow) has never worked for me - I need to open my jaw really wide, which obviously doesn't work with the breathing tube when you are trying to not get water in it. So I am starting to worry a little bit. Eventually we start the dive. I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed with all the gear and once we go under I start panicking. I'm breathing wrong and ocean water is in my mouth and I see it is a long way down and I am worried I am going to mess something up and not be able to pop my ears and that once I down there, there is no quick way up because you need to ascend slowly with regular ear popping. So I am freaking out a bit. I gave the I'm-not-okay hand signal and we surface and I explain I am not doing well. We try a few more times and I keep giving the same hand signal and tell the guide explicitly I am panicking. She tells me "you're not panicking". I still can't believe that response. My life is in this person's hands and she is not listening to me or respecting my concerns. She grabs the device on my equipment that controls descent and makes me descend again and I am giving the I'm-not-okay signal and pointing to the surface of the water indicating I want to go up. While I am doing this she is just taking photos of me with her camera. After continuing with these motions we go back up and I say I need to go back to the boat and she takes me back. My wife continued to swim with her and had a great time. The instructor offered that I could go snorkeling instead but at this point I am too upset from the previous interaction and feeling a bit sea sick so I just nap on the boat instead. I know my experience is abnormal, and again it is not this establishment's fault that I am not suited for scuba diving, but the way our instructor ignored me was not acceptable. I would give this a 1-star review if not for my wife's experience.

The trip was well organized and every aspect was handled professionally. They have this trip well practiced! Nin was the tutor for myself and one other lad and she was skilled at helping both of us try to figure out how to scuba dive using correct breathing, kicking, mask clearing and equalizing our ear pressure. A big task but she handled us skillfully! Well done Nin!!

We as a family decided to try scuba diving, we had one nervous family member but we were out at ease by the wonderful Pommé. From start to finish her expert guidance put us at ease and made the entire trip wonderful. The waters were warm and, the entire trip.was a mind blowing experience. This was the most amazing experience and can highly recommend. My first time diving and I cannot speak highly enough of my instructor Nim. On my first dive I had a little panic attack when having to remove and recover the regulator Nim was so calm and attentive, helping me to slow down the breathing and relax so I could continue with this experience. The Photo and Video package is a must with quality images and the instructors upload straight to your phone. The entire crew were fantastic and well organised; food was great and all equipment in top order. If your looking to do your first dive I in Phuket I can definitely reassure if you choose this tour you are in great hands. Thanks again Nim couldn't have done it without you.

We have a lovely time, boat was large with other dive groups going to the same spot, but our group itself was small. The journey was between 1.5-2 hours to the first dive spot which hit me with some seasickness. Only thing i didn’t like was that the dive spots were all quite busy, which is obviously common this time of year, however all the boats probably scare away anything interesting to see. We mostly just saw lots of fish and coral with the occasional interesting thing. Special thank you to Olivier, who was a lovely coach for our first ever scuba dive. We would definitely come back for him, he was a great teacher.

My daughter and I who dive infrequently licked out by getting Tim as our instructor. Very professional and very personable. He made us laugh luckily only when we were on the boat and not under the water. Great pictures great dive and a fun time overall. Thanks Tim, hope to see you again.

As a first time diver, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Tiger was an excellent guide and instructor. Everything was explained well and I felt comfortable before hitting the water. The dive itself was amazing. Highly recommended for a beginner.

I attempted scuba diving in the 90’s but I struggled with the breathing so I maybe did 15 minutes and slightly panicked. Fast forward 30 years I wanted to try it again. The experience was fantastic from start to finish all thanks to my amazing instructor Tiger, he clearly explained everything & put my mind at rest. He spoke clearly & was very professional the whole day. The vibe on the boat was great with good food & not too many people aboard. I did 2 x 45 minute dives & WOW the scenery was beautiful, Tiger had a camera to video & he was the only instructor who had a high tech second camera with flash for the still shots, my pictures and videos are amazing it’s something I’ll always remember. Thanks again Tiger you made the whole thing worthwhile! 🙏🏻 ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

This tour was absolutely amazing. This was my first ever dive, I was in a group with one other newbie and a guide. My guide, Tiger, was so helpful, informative, and took amazing pictures! He also made me feel very safe. I had a slight mask mishap (my fault) and he was right there to help me underwater and keep the dive moving. This was a great first experience to the sport and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone in the area.

Im an Australian have never dived before my instructor LUNG 💯 was amazing talking me through every step and all the equipment and was very supportive. Great communication and very easy going good sence of humour and extremely polite and very very professional. If you have never dived before ask for LUNG he will make your experience something special. His photography skills are awesome and can capture the right photograph and make an experience you won't forget. In Australia we dont swim with sharks or crocodiles but this trip with LUNG was probably the best money I spent in my 4 weeks in thailand. Lang 👍🏻 Thanks mate

Excellent from start to finish. I went with my girlfriend who is a beginner, me open water. Great fun even if you’re certified - always good to with some refreshing. Trip was to Racha Yai, 8h, two dives. Good consumer value. Great lunch, good vibes and overall very well organised with not too many onboard. But hey, the real hero is Ootdyy, our instructor. A real gentleman of the seas, kind, humorous and made sure to take special care to my girl and her first diving experience. Thank you again Ootdyy!

We had a fabulous experience with Pomme! I would definitely recommend this experience, and I would do it again if given the chance. I was a little nervous as a first timer. My 20-year-old and 12-year-old sons are expert swimmers, but this is something that was new to all of us. I will say, if you are considering this activity, you should be aware that training takes place on the boat and your first dive is in the ocean. My friends who are scuba certified were shocked to learn that this experience did not have a training phase in a pool.
