A message to the hotel management regarding staff behavior I would like to bring to the management’s attention the unacceptable behavior of a staff member named NAM at the reception. I visited the hotel with my parents, who were checking in, and wanted to accompany them to their room. NAM told me that visitors were not allowed, claiming that this was a hotel policy. When I politely asked her to show me the relevant written policy, she failed to provide any explanation or documentation. What was particularly disappointing was her aggressive and unwelcoming attitude throughout the interaction. Instead of communicating politely, explaining the policy, or trying to find a reasonable solution, she made the experience unnecessarily unpleasant. I fully understand that hotels may have their own rules and security policies. However, these should be communicated clearly and enforced professionally and respectfully. Guests and their family members should not be treated with hostility when simply asking for clarification. I strongly encourage the hotel management to review this incident and address NAM’s approach to customer service. Her behavior was neither welcoming nor professional, and it left a very negative first impression of the hotel. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and ensures that all staff members treat guests and their families with basic courtesy, respect, and hospitality.

AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS – UNBEARABLE MUSTY SMELL, HUMIDITY AND TERRIBLE BEDS! I strongly advise everyone to stay away from Wekata Luxury Hotel in Phuket. This was one of the most unpleasant hotel experiences I have ever had. At first glance, the hotel looks clean and presentable, but appearances are extremely misleading. The room had an absolutely unbearable musty, mouldy smell, as well as excessive humidity. The air felt damp and stale, making it extremely uncomfortable to stay inside. The smell was disgusting and impossible to ignore. The bedding was equally terrible. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable, and the overall sleeping conditions were unacceptable. I barely slept the entire night. To make matters worse, I was travelling with my 8-year-old son, who suffers from asthma. I had specifically informed the hotel about his condition, which made the situation even more concerning. The breakfast was also disappointing and certainly not up to the standard I expected. I had booked and paid for an entire week, but after just one night, I decided to leave and pay for another hotel rather than spend another night in those conditions. To be fair, the staff offered to move us to another room. However, after experiencing such unpleasant conditions, I had completely lost confidence in the hotel and did not want to take the risk of staying there any longer, especially with my asthmatic child. The hotel returned my 3,000 THB security deposit, but did not refund any of my accommodation costs, despite the circumstances and the fact that I had paid for a full week. I have also seen other guests reporting similar humidity and musty smell problems, which makes me question why these issues have apparently not been properly addressed. I find it unacceptable that guests are expected to sleep in rooms with such unpleasant conditions. My advice: DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. A hotel can look beautiful in pictures, but if the rooms smell of mould, feel excessively humid and the beds are uncomfortable, none of that matters. I moved to another hotel nearby, where the rooms are bright, fresh, comfortable and free from unpleasant smells or humidity. The difference is enormous. Extremely disappointing experience. I would never stay here again and absolutely do not recommend it.
We had a pleasant stay at Wekata Luxury Hotel during our family holiday. The room was a good size and included a small kitchenette with a hot stove, microwave, and sink, which was very useful for preparing simple meals and snacks. The location was another highlight, with Kata Beach about a 10-minute walk away and the Kata Walking Street Market just a few minutes from the hotel, making it easy to find food and enjoy the evening atmosphere. The hotel has two swimming pools, which our family enjoyed, and the facilities were generally good. Breakfast was fairly standard, with a reasonable selection to start the day, although nothing particularly memorable. Overall, it was a comfortable and convenient place to stay, offering good value for money in a great location.
Great hotel! Check-in was quick and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Room was clean, spacious and everything worked perfectly. Two pools are amazing — especially the rooftop one with sea views. Live music in the evenings made the vibe really special. Breakfast was good and the location is perfect — beach is walking distance, market and shops right nearby. Will definitely come back. Highly recommend! 🙏 fern carrot korn
The reservation and check in service was was easy, and welcoming. The room was just what I expected, having stayed in the same room previously. The room was clean, comfortable and all amenities were as described in the hotel booking. The restaurants/breakfast were very good and the menue was variable. The pool was clean and inviting and a pleasure to use.The Wi-Fi in room and around the hotel worked well, most of the time. The staff were kind, thoughtful and all requests were forfilled, nothing was to much trouble for them to make our stay more enjoyable. I would highly recommend the Wekata Luxury Hotel to anyone for a long or short stay holiday. my wife and our family have stayed hear several times in the past, and have always enjoyed our stay, I'm sure we will back again in the future!
