One of the best resorts. The rooms are spacious and well maintained. The breakfast is outstanding. It is 15 min away from international airport. The beach is like 5 min walk, quite and clean. 2 pools and we like the one on the beach. The surrounding is quite and you might be able to see turtle from Nov to April. If you would like food outside, you can walk to the Thai restaurant at the beach, or go to Turtle Village which is about 10 min by care. We like the resort very much and will definitely comeback.
Last but not least, all staff here are attentive, helpful and always carry a smile.
We have just left Meliá Maikhao and found it absolutely incredible. We were booked to stay in a different resort but due to a last minute complication from that hotel, our booking was transferred to Melia, and what a result!
Everything at Melia was excellent. It all felt very modern and clean, whilst still retaining a unique Thai feel. We loved relaxing by the beachfront pool, and the views from the beach were stunning.
The staff are incredibly friendly and more than happy to help with anything you need.
The food from the Sasa restaurant for both breakfast and dinner, as well as the pizza from the Gaia restaurant for lunch was all delicious. Right next door to the hotel we tried the Sea, Sand, Sun restaurant and Seaside restaurant which were also lovely and on the beach.
Our one-bed villa with a private pool was lovely and very comfortable. As we stayed here for our honeymoon, the staff went above and beyond to welcome us, and we couldn’t have been happier.
We would highly recommend this resort and we will definitely return if we come back to Maikhao in the future.
I will defiantly come back and recommend this hotel to friends, my room was dark, quiet and very comfortable. Easy parking and not too far to walk to my room and a great location for visiting Soi Dog. Would prefer more vegetarian choices in the restaurant but always found something. The spa was the highlight, I was very well liked after and my treatments with Mook were fantastic. Thank you 🙏
Melia Phuket Mai Khao was the perfect end to our holiday, as the hotel is close to the airport. The pool villa was very spacious and clean. We sometimes got lost within the villa complex, but a staff member was always there to help us. The breakfast spread was extensive, and the kitchen staff were happy to accommodate special requests. Both restaurants offered great options, but the pizza really stood out. The service was excellent at all times. A huge compliment for the well-maintained gardens and clean walkways. The cheerful beach security guard also added that extra special touch. The pool was amazing, and the poolside staff were quick to help protect our belongings from the rain, returning after the shower with clean, warm towels. It’s the little things that make a big difference. Special thanks to: Mudny (good luck!), Kob, Nam, and of course Aey. Our conversations were always open, honest, and never intrusive. Compliments also to the reception team for their polite response when we asked why there were no umbrellas in the room—something that had surprised us. We had an incredible one week stay at Melia Phuket Mai Khao and cannot recommend the resort highly enough. The location is superb and the expansive grounds are beautifully designed and maintained - a credit to the many staff who care for the lush gardens and walkways. Two choices of pool and two choices of restaurant were a treat and the buffet breakfast an absolute highlight of our day. All of the staff at the resort were friendly and attentive. We were particularly grateful for Luc who is so knowledgeable, and Nam (in Sasa restaurant) who is so professional; both were very welcoming in their respective roles. We made good use of the resort's gym and complimentary bikes as well as the included pilates and yoga sessions, taught by the experienced and accommodating Bow. I would summarise our experience as seamless and luxurious, and hope we can return one day.
