Hotel Novotel Phuket Karon Beach Resort And Spa

The property itself was lovely, the room was comfortable and my parents had a great time in Phuket. Unfortunately, the experience with the reservation team was disappointing and quite unlike my previous stays at Novotel and other Accor properties. I had booked the stay for my mother's birthday and ended up making two bookings following the reservation team's requests regarding changes. I was simply hoping to arrange a small birthday surprise and ensure that my parents, who are older, would be comfortable in their room. While one team member, Jame, was reassuring and understanding, my subsequent interactions with Jitsupa felt unnecessarily dismissive. The conversation repeatedly shifted towards clarifying that nothing would be provided free of charge, despite my never demanding complimentary upgrades or expecting special arrangements to be guaranteed. As a returning Accor guest, I understand hotel policies and availability. I was looking for clear communication, empathy and a little assistance with a special family occasion, not exceptions to the rules. The front desk staff were pleasant, and the property itself was good, but the reservation team's approach left a poor impression. I cannot comment on the reason for their attitude, but the lack of warmth and understanding was disappointing and fell short of the hospitality I have previously experienced at Novotel.

We stayed at Novotel Phuket Resort with a group of 4 couples and 6 kids, ranging from 1 to 12 years old, and overall had a really good experience. I would rate the stay 9/10. The hotel is located right at the beginning of Patong, which we found to be a very convenient location. The reception area is extremely spacious and has a lovely view overlooking the hotel’s three-level pool area. The pools were very clean and well maintained, and there were plenty of sunbeds spread across all three levels, so finding a place to sit was never really an issue. The views from the hotel are probably one of its biggest highlights. From the property, you get a fantastic panoramic view of Patong Beach, and from our rooms we could see almost the entire Patong Beach stretch. The view of the sea and the entire beach arc is genuinely breathtaking, especially from the higher parts of the hotel. We booked rooms with bunk beds, and the kids absolutely loved them! It was a great choice for families travelling with children. All our rooms also had very large balconies overlooking the pool. The balconies were genuinely spacious — big enough to comfortably fit 4 chairs and have 3–4 additional people standing/sitting around, so around 7–8 people could easily hang out together on the balcony. This was a really nice feature when travelling as a group, as we could spend time together without everyone having to squeeze into one room. The breakfast buffet was excellent. There was a huge spread with plenty of options, and every day there were at least 3–4 live stations for things like pancakes, waffles and omelettes. The kids obviously loved the pancakes and waffles. We were also pleasantly surprised by the Indian food selection. There was a good variety of Indian options at breakfast, and we also found Indian dishes on the in-room dining menu and in the restaurants, which was a big plus for our group. The spa was another pleasant surprise. The treatments were very good and the pricing was quite reasonable for a resort hotel. The pool bar was also nice and made spending time around the pool more enjoyable. The tennis court was very well maintained as well. There are quite a few activities and facilities specifically for children, although we unfortunately didn’t get enough time to explore all of them during our stay. With six kids in our group, though, the pools and the bunk beds themselves were already a big hit! The housekeeping team was excellent — very friendly, attentive and responsive to our requests. Room service was good once the food arrived, although the waiting time was a little longer than it should have been. This was probably the main area where we felt the service could be improved. The hotel also has a shuttle service from the reception to the main road, which is useful given the hotel’s location, and there was ample parking for guests travelling with self-drive/rental vehicles. Overall, we had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. For a large group travelling with children, the hotel worked really well. The combination of the spectacular beach views, clean three-level pools, huge balconies, family-friendly rooms with bunk beds, excellent breakfast, good Indian food options, reasonably priced spa and very helpful housekeeping made this a memorable stay for us. Would definitely consider staying here again when visiting Phuket, especially when travelling with family or a larger group.

Old hotel but the rooms were big and clean. Initially we had some difficulty getting to our room because the walkways were confusing and complicated. Fortunately we found a “short cut” to the lobby through an outdoor path later. There were 3 swimming pools altogether, 3 tiers and the bottom pool catered to water volley ball. There were many deck chairs available to sun worshippers. The gym was huge and bright. Only downside was there were no kettlebells available. I had emailed the hotel earlier but I received no reply to its availability. Food at the restaurant was fantastic. Thai, Indian and Western cuisine were available. As we had to eat at the restaurant almost every lunch time, the variety helped a lot. Also, breakfast was fantastic. Although the dishes were almost the same every morning, we simply had to pace ourselves and try something different for 7 days. Service was fantastic at this hotel. Some staff actually knew my room number and they greeted me whenever we went. Even the security man at the driveway will greet you! Never had such friendly service before. Shuttles to the Jungceylon Mall were available. But please plan ahead and book earlier the day before. There were only 10 seats available each trip. Otherwise taking Grab will be around THB 400-500 one trip. Oh, Patong Beach was just a 5 min walk away and there were massage shops and eateries around the corner. All in all, I enjoyed the hotel and their service very much.

They provide 24/7 van since hotel is uphill and diff to walk all the way The hotel also provides free shuttle mostly every hour to main city centre Jungceylon mall untill late evening Best part is proximity to the patong beach
