Courtyard By Marriott Phuket Town

My mother, sister and I stayed at Courtyard by Marriott Phuket Town from 2–4 August, and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. From the moment we arrived until our departure, the level of service was consistently excellent. Every part of our stay felt meticulously handled. From the bell team and reception staff to the restaurant and housekeeping teams, everyone we encountered was professional, attentive and helpful. What particularly stood out to me was the staff's excellent command of English and, more importantly, their ability to really listen and understand our requests. Whenever we asked for something or provided specific details, they understood exactly what we needed and followed through beautifully. I was also extremely grateful for the upgrade to a family room. Travelling as three adults can sometimes make hotel accommodation a little challenging, but the room was spacious and very comfortable for my mother, sister and me. We particularly appreciated having a proper additional bed already in the room rather than needing to request a rollaway bed, which isn't always the most comfortable option. It made a real difference to our stay. Breakfast was another highlight. I especially loved the egg station — the omelettes were very well prepared, as were the Eggs Benedict — and I have to give a special mention to the bacon. It was quite possibly the best bacon I have ever had at a hotel, and having stayed at many hotels over the years, that is saying something! I also really appreciated the table service during breakfast. Rather than having to repeatedly get up for drinks, the staff would come to our table personally to take our orders. The coffee was excellent, and once again, the team's attentiveness and ability to understand individual requests made the whole breakfast experience feel polished and effortless. One particular moment on our final day summed up the quality of service for me. When we were checking out, the reception area was busy with other guests checking in, and our Grab car had already arrived and was waiting outside. A member of the hotel team noticed the situation and, without us having to ask, directed me to another reception counter so that I could be checked out quickly and avoid keeping our driver waiting. It was a relatively small gesture, but one that I appreciated very much. The fact that the staff member noticed what was happening and proactively found a solution showed a level of awareness and consideration that characterised our experience throughout the stay. Those are the kinds of thoughtful moments that guests remember. For a four-star hotel, I thought the overall experience was exceptionally well executed. The quality and consistency of the service genuinely impressed me, and the property delivers a level of hospitality that makes it very easy to recommend. The location is another major advantage. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the Sunday market and conveniently located near many shops, restaurants and other amenities around Phuket Town. It was an excellent base for exploring the area and made getting around incredibly convenient. If there were one small detail I would suggest improving, it would be the quality of the toilet paper provided in the rooms. A good-quality three-ply option would be a simple but noticeable upgrade to the overall guest experience. This was really the only aspect of the stay that I felt was lacking; otherwise, the hotel met our expectations across the board. Overall, this was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay for all three of us. Between the thoughtful room upgrade, excellent breakfast, attentive staff and fantastic location, Courtyard by Marriott Phuket Town left us with a very positive impression. I would absolutely consider staying here again the next time we return to Phuket Town. Thank you to the entire team for taking such good care of my family and me during our stay.

What an amazing stay. Courtyard by Marriott Phuket Old Town set the scene for our very first trip to Thailand, and we fell head over heels with the country, the weather, the food, and the people! 🇹🇭 Day 1: warmly welcomed by Jasmine and her team. She was very helpful and her polite but inquisitive demeanor found out that we were here to celebrate my wife's birthday. Lo, and behold - they had a lovely surprise waiting for us! 🎂🎉 Day 2: after a day of island hopping under the sweltering tropical sun, the pool offered a refreshing reprieve. ☀️ We also had staff promptly attending to our laundry needs so that we won't haul back too much laundry back home. Day 3: had the room made up 🧹 (they were quite surprised that we're the type of tourists who don't need to have it done every single day 😅) and had everything refilled + restocked. Too tired from the city tour, so we just tucked into the very comfy bed and rested super fluffy pillows while nodding off with the city lights outside our 12th floor window. Day 4: paid for only 1 buffet breakfast this morning and instantly regretted not paying for more! 🍳🥓☕️ barista made coffee, gluten-free options, and an array of Western and Asian cuisine was enough to fill our bellies for the next leg of our journey. Stayed 2 nights at Courtyard by Marriott Phuket Town and had a wonderful experience. A special thank you to Tee at the front desk for the warm and efficient check-in, and to Fetch from the bell team, who was incredibly helpful throughout my stay. All the staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist with a smile. The location is excellent — within walking distance to Phuket Old Town and surrounded by plenty of restaurants, massage shops, cafés, and convenience stores, making it very easy to explore the area. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. I was also pleasantly surprised that the hotel took note of my birthday request and added a thoughtful touch to make my stay extra special. Breakfast was another highlight, with a good variety of options. Having freshly made-to-order coffee instead of coffee from a machine was definitely a big plus for me! Overall, a great stay and I would happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Phuket.

Nice room overall. As a humble Titanium member, I was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a Junior Suite… always appreciated! 😊 I gave 3 stars for the room mainly because of the very poor soundproofing. My neighbours decided to have their own little party at night, and unfortunately, I could hear practically everything they said (and did 😅). As a result, I had very poor sleep quality throughout my 3-night stay… sigh… The shower also needs some attention. The hot water temperature was inconsistent and would occasionally turn cold without warning 🥶 not the most pleasant surprise during a shower. Service gets 4 stars. There was a hiccup during check-in that left a less-than-great first impression, and I had to remind the team twice about extra towels and toothbrushes. That said, the staff were generally friendly and helpful. Location-wise, no complaints at all. It’s within walking distance to the old town, making it very convenient for exploring the area, finding food, and soaking in the local atmosphere.
