Centara Kata Resort Phuket

The hotel needs a major makeover, it is falling apart... The kind and helpful staff members aretrying to do their best with what they have. The walk to the beach is no picnic. The breakfast buffet was very nice, no complains. The Friday night BBQ buffet with a cabaret show was tasty, fun and good value for money. Swimming pool with water slide was fun. Also the "water playground" was nice, but again, could use a repaint. The kids club was a bit dark and depressing, and the staff didn't do too much effort to engage with the girls. But they were sweet ladies and the girls enjoyed playing there for a long time. We have been to a few Centara 4 stars hotels, at this one we felt like we paid more and got less, this was not Centara standards. Again, the staff was sweet and kind, but a crumbling hotel and bleach stained pool towels and an unreliable AC don't give you a 4 star hotel vibe...

The hotel was fantastic, and Aoy, Gift & June were so kind and welcoming during breakfast. ❤️ Special thanks to Gift, who was especially sweet with my baby and always happy to carry and take care of him. 🥹 They truly made our stay memorable! Only downside was the 7,000 baht deposit, which felt quite high. Overall, highly recommended! We truly appreciate the warm hospitality and care we received. We will definitely remember the wonderful people we met here. 🌸

We had a wonderful stay at Centara Kata Resort. The hotel was fantastic, clean, comfortable, and very welcoming. We truly enjoyed our time there. A special thank you to Kla, Aoy, and Mina for their amazing service. They were incredibly friendly, kind, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. They really made our stay even more enjoyable. The food was delicious, with a great variety of choices. We had a fantastic experience and would definitely recommend Centara Kata Resort. I stayed here as a group of three adults in July and had an excellent experience overall. The hotel was expansive and had plenty available to do for all ages. Despite the three pools, pool bar, and kids club, the hotel still feels quiet and relaxing. The location was great and placed us really near to the beach, which is easy to access, and near some shops across the street. If you need water, medicine, bug spray etc, you can get it in minutes. The options and variety for food were extensive. The breakfast buffet changed up each day to kep things fresh, there was a dinner buffet (with show) offered twice per week, and the dinner options at the restaurant were all really good and generous. I'd like to thank Chef Ngek in particular, when she found out I was a vegetarian she was incredibly accommodating and always made sure I knew what food was available to me, even making me special options if necessary. I cannot thank her enough! The hotel offers plenty of amenities in room, including water bottles and regular service. If you ever need to order anything to be replaced, they have a really easy concierge app that makes your stay a breeze. Otherwise, you can call the front desk and they'll help out. The price is also very reasonable for what's available. The rooms are a bit dated with some light staining on the bed linens, furniture and curtains. But it's clear that the cleaning staff are very thorough and attentive. They were also able to accommodate our request for three beds, which I really appreciated. The main standout was the staff. Everyone here was so friendly and really went above and beyond in helping us. I received excellent service at the front desk from Jezzy. All of the staff at the restaurant and pool area were exceptional, but I'd like to highlight Num, Kla, Mark, Gub Gib, Aoy, and Coach. They were so lovely to us all of the time and we were always thrilled to see them. We all really enjoyed our stay here and would love to come back. I highly recommend this resort!
