Barcelo Coconut Island Phuket

I highly recommend this resort! Everything was well organised and prepared throughout our entire stay at Barceló. From the moment we arrived we were looked after with great hospitality. I had such a lovely time with mum and dad. We decided we weren’t going to book all inclusive as we wanted to explore Phuket instead but in the end we wish we had gone for all inclusive package because the food at Barcelo was amazing. The tropical atmosphere is so peaceful and the Villas are luxurious! All staff were professional particularly our favourite staff Sandra and Lacey who went above and beyond. We had a lovely conversation with them every morning they were so friendly and helpful. I honestly think this resort deserves a 7* everything was just perfect.

I want to start by saying that the resort itself was stunning, and the staff was incredible during our 8 day stay. We had the Pool Villa with the ocean view, and this was the nicest hotel room we've ever stayed in and I cant recommend it enough. I wanted to give this review 5 stars, but we did find that the All Inclusive package was slightly underwhelming for what we paid. There were four restaurants total (only two of them are included in the All inclusive package). Of the two that are included, one of them is only open for dinner, so you really only have one restaurant option from breakfast time until 6:30pm. The one restaurant that is open all day for the all inclusive package has great food and plenty of options, but even that restaurant has certain food and drink items that aren't included in the all inclusive. Our first few days were confusing wondering what we could order and what we couldnt. I think if you pay for an all inclusive, you shouldn't have to stress about what drinks and food you can and can not order. "Hey can we have a martini?, no problem", "Can we order a Mai Tai?, sorry thats not apart of the all inclusive" This is review is advice for management to make things more transparent upfront on what is included and what is not. The last thing people want is to stress about what's included and not included after a 20 hour travel day, especially for something as trivial as drink selection. I spoke to another guest at the resort who shared the same feedback. Hopefully this feedback will be useful for management, just to be more transparent about the All Inclusive package. When we booked, we saw nothing online about these restrictions I do also wish the boat transfers were more frequent. (They run once an hour) There were a couple times we were one minute late to the dock and we had to wait a full hour for the next boat to get back to the resort. This frustrated us because there were times we were 15 minutes early for the boat, then the boat left 10 minutes late, so we were sitting there for almost 30 minutes waiting to leave, while we were one minute late to the boat, then had to sit there for a full hour. (Maybe we just had back luck and timing)

But what truly elevated our stay was the exceptional team who went above and beyond at every turn. A special mention must go to TOON, whose warm welcome and attentive service set the tone for our entire visit. LESTER was incredibly helpful with organising activities and ensuring every detail was perfect. KIM and KYLE were fantastic at the pool and bar area—always smiling, quick to serve, and making us feel like VIPs throughout our stay. And of course, KHUN DAE —whose kindness, professionalism, and genuine care made us feel completely at home. The food was delicious, the rooms were immaculate, and the overall atmosphere was one of peaceful luxury. Whether you’re looking for romance, family time, or simply a chance to unwind, Barceló Coconut Island delivers in every way. We can’t wait to return and experience this slice of paradise again. I had an amazing stay at Barceló Coconut Island. The resort is beautiful, peaceful, and perfect for anyone looking to relax away from the crowds. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable, while the island setting created a truly unique tropical experience. What impressed me most was the exceptional hospitality. The staff were friendly especially Mrs.Toon , professional, and always willing to help with a smile. The food was excellent, with plenty of variety, and the resort facilities were well maintained. The combination of stunning views, great service, and a relaxing atmosphere made this one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had in Thailand. I would highly recommend it to couples, families, and anyone looking for a memorable island getaway. I would definitely love to return in the future.
