The staff were exceptional - went above and beyond what was required or expected of them. I cannot speak highly enough of them. Rooms were comfortable and very clean with daily service. Good freshly well-cooked breakfast with buffet options. Good, quiet location. There is a free hourly shuttle bus to Patong Beach and Jungceylon, the largest and most modern shopping centre in Patong, and pickup during the day I would stay there again without hesitation.
Only 4 for location rejected on my own aging ability to negotiate the steep incline to the hotel. However the hotel has a free transfer service to the centre and beach. Spacious room, but a little sparse with toiletries. Staff were excellent, especially Patty, who was always helpful and reliable.
This was one of the most disappointing hotel stays I have experienced. The balcony was dirty and poorly maintained, with an unpleasant smell coming from outside. The room had hygiene issues, and the overall cleanliness standard was unacceptable. What was more concerning was the staff’s attitude — complaints were ignored and no serious effort was made to resolve the problems. There was no sense of accountability or professionalism. Instead of prioritizing guest comfort and hygiene, the hotel focuses on selling drinking water with their own branded label. Basic hospitality standards seem to be missing. I would strongly advise future guests to reconsider before booking here. Management seriously needs to improve cleanliness, maintenance, and customer service.
Ours was a well-planned 8-day trip to Thailand, with 3 days in Krabi and 5 days in Patong, Phuket. While the hotel staff were generally courteous and friendly, there are several significant concerns that impacted our overall experience. The property is located on a steep hill with an almost vertical climb, making access extremely difficult. There are no convenient transportation options available. Although the hotel provides a shuttle service, it operates only between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM. Outside these hours, guests are left to manage the steep walk on their own, which is particularly challenging after a full day of sightseeing. Breakfast was another major disappointment. On a scale of 1 to 5, I would honestly rate it below zero. The spread was extremely limited, especially considering that I paid extra over and above the room tariff for breakfast. At the very least, a reasonable variety is expected. A particularly unpleasant aspect of our stay was the experience with the restaurant staff regarding cutlery and plates. On multiple occasions when we ordered food from outside, obtaining basic cutlery became unnecessarily difficult and embarrassing. Despite returning to the hotel exhausted after walking nearly 15 km and carrying shopping bags along with the food, assistance was refused. The front office staff simply asked me to collect the plates and cutlery from the restaurant myself, even though my hands were clearly full. When I raised this concern, I was informed that the restaurant operates as a separate entity and that the hotel has no control over them. While this may be an internal arrangement, it should not result in such inconvenience to guests. Additionally, the behaviour of the restaurant staff was concerning. During breakfast, guests were treated with suspicion and repeatedly asked to show room keys for verification in a manner that felt intrusive and disrespectful. On several occasions when I requested cutlery, the staff appeared to mock me, laughing among themselves and behaving dismissively while handing over basic items. Overall, while the front office staff showed basic courtesy, the property suffers from serious operational and service issues—particularly with accessibility, breakfast quality, and restaurant staff behaviour. These factors significantly detracted from what should have been a comfortable stay in Phuket.
