Excellent snorkeling tour with awesome educated guides , new equipment & they made sure everyone was comfortable in the water and found the best spots to see fish & coral and delicious mango on a private island

Outstanding. Support this upcoming business. They really care about the coral, fish and local environment. The snorkelling was fabulous, one of the best we've ever had. The instructors were entertaining, educational and experienced. The small group of 10 on a speed boat was the best way to enjoy the day.

Such a fun and beautiful experience. They were focused on safety and making sure everyone was comfortable throughout the entire experience, but they also made sure we all had fun! The staff had excellent communication with us starting the day before the trip to make sure we were prepared. They picked us up from our hotel and took us to a local harbor where we boarded a speed boat and headed out on our adventure. The first stop was in a shallow location so everyone could get familiar with their equipment and the team made sure we were all good before moving on to the next two stops with coral reef and a wide variety of beautiful fish. They even spent time educating us on how to be eco friendly and protect the reef while snorkeling. The fourth stop was on a quiet beach where they offered us fruit, drinks, and a place to change into dry clothes. We relaxed and took a bunch of pictures on the beach before taking the boat back to the harbor, where our ride was waiting to deliver us back to our hotel. Our team, Tene, Kai, Dylan, Wendy, and The Captain (sorry if I misspelled any names) were Amazing. They all spoke wonderful English and guided us through the reef in groups of 2 or 3, making sure we saw all the different species of coral and wildlife. Everyone was kind, patient, and fun to be around, and they truly wanted to make sure we were safe. I recommend this experience to swimmers of all levels. Even if you’re timid or nervous about swimming in open water you should try it. They give you everything you need for success and will literally hold your hand through the experience if needed.

We had an absolutely amazing time snorkeling with OnBird Phu Quoc! The entire experience was fantastic from start to finish, and a huge part of that was thanks to Tommy and John. They were both incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and made the whole adventure so much fun! The snorkeling was beautiful, and we loved exploring the coral reefs and seeing all the marine life. Tommy and John really went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience and enjoyed every moment. This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Vietnam! We couldn’t have asked for better guides. Highly recommend this tour, and especially Tommy and John! We’d absolutely do it again! Much love from Mexico!

The trip was amazing. The schedule and the time spent on the boat vs the time spent snorkelling was really good. The guides were all lovely approachable and nice, and i was amazed that there was 3 guides for 12 persons. The tour as a whole was a mix of non swimmers and those who were quite new swimmers and some who were more experienced having 3 guides meant we could be broken up properly in to groups for everyone to have fun and be safe. We have been on lots of snorkelling tours but todays was one of the best organised and smoothest run weve been on. We had John as our guide he was great and showed us lots of different coral and fish and made sure we did not miss anything. I would highly recommend this snorkelling trip to anyone Thank you for a wonderful and most enjoyable trip

Good explanation of equipement fish and corals.

A great experience allowing for both complete beginners and experienced snorkle divers. There is thorough instruction and checks before the real thing. Safety is the top priority. The staff were friendly and spoke English. Contact them a couple of days before at the latest as the communication back and forth, together with deposit, can span over many hours. The price for our package was around 1,3 million Dong per person. The snorkling was fun and exciting. They pick you up at your hotel and drive you back again after. It's made me want to try more snorkling in the future.

Although it has only been a few days since I joined Onbird, my heart still feels like it is in Phu Quoc. I had a truly wonderful time. There aren't any specific areas for improvement, but if I had to mention one, I wish there were a few additional resting spots on the island where we took our final break. For instance, I think we could rest a bit more comfortably if they provided more shade. Thanks to the guide who led us so well throughout the tour, it was a safe and enjoyable experience. I would love to use this tour again next time. My rating is a plus out of 5~~ My whole family said it was an unforgettable snorkeling experience. I am very grateful to the guide, and I am extremely satisfied because we had such a pleasant trip. It probably would’ve been a nice experience, however, we ended up having to cancel because there were weather concerns. The trip was booked a day before, but there were many changes to time, possible adverse weather conditions, how many people in the group, etc, up until the time for the adventure. It took 30 or so minutes to get to the next pick up spot, and then another 30 months minutes to get to the boat. Then came the adverse weather possibilities, so one hour and a half and we were in the van sweating. However, the crew were nice and kind. It wasn’t their fault, a ride back to our villa and payment was refunded. But precious time were wasted, especially on a short trip. My advice, make sure of the weather conditions before booking,

I went snorkeling with OnBird today (a friend said they are the best provider of such experience on Phu Quoc) - what a wonderful team, I had a great time. Everything is top notch, very professional. To point out details - clear communication, I was sent lists of what to pack, weather forecasts, lots of useful tips in advance. Pick up from the hotel - on time, good vehicle. English speaking guides (we were divided into groups where 1 guide took care of just 3 guests, great for beginner swimmers as they are constantly monitored and helped). BEST mask I ever snorkeled in (I’ll buy one as soon as I’m back home). I was explained what sunscreen not to use to protect the coral, and part of the payment you make goes towards restoring the ecosystem. Trip ended up with a BBQ on a beach prepared by the team. Just awesome, 5 stars, highly recommend, will go again myself next time I’m on the island. PS: it was raining a bit - wasn’t as issue at all, just as gorgeous.

I've been to many snorkeling and island hopping tours in other parts of the world and this trip with the OnBird team is one of the most enjoyable tours. The port to hop on to the speedboat was only 15 min away from Sunset town so only a 30 min car ride from where we stayed which was nice. The speedboat ride was again not too long so no one experienced sea sickness. The team was very professional and fluent in English to explain the gear and coral species. The coral and fish view was just spectacular! One of the clearest waters we had encountered and the coral was so close to you!!! We will definitely come back to this tour with OnBird when we return to Phu Quoc! Highly recommended.

Totally agree with past reviews that this is the best snorkeling trip in South East Asia. The whole experience is perfect, from enquries to booking to pick up, details on what to expect and prepare, pick up, introdictions and explanations on safety, use of equipment, info on corals a d fishes and care for the environment. Special shout out to Colin who took of the less proficient swimmer which makes me feel safe to join the group despite the rain storm

It was the best experience ever, the guides were amazing, the whole itinerary was perfect. Everything was very well planned. The guides were really experienced and fun to do this whole activity with. As a first timer , the whole experience felt very safe as well as very fun!!!

if i could give them a 100 stars, i would. truly such a good experience. kai (1 and 2 lol) and colin were superb guides and made the trip memorable. bringing us to the first beach to practice with the gear was really helpful because it helps you remain calm when you go into the deeper water. snorkel spots truly had nobody else but us and the corals were gorgeous!!!!!! pickup and drop off were so easy as well. super fuss free! can’t recommend them enough PLEASEEEEEEEE book with them if you go to phu quoc!!!!!!!!!

This a rare find. They have very personal service and a small group focus. The guides are very knowledgeable and guide you to the best snorkeling sites . They are also the only local company involved in reef restoration. Highly recommended.We had a great experience

At the outset I would like to thank Onbird Phu Quoc for making our Snorkling dream come true. We were a group of Seven people. Honestly, none of us knew ABC of swimming and none of us had any previous experience of Snorkeling. Firstly we all received a briefing about Safety and use of Snorkeling equipment and practice in shallow sea shore which gave us the much needed confidence. The snorkeling equipments were of very good quality. Onbird team took all of us for Snorkeling at one of the best location of Phu Quoc to see Corals and many colorful fishes. I would like to mention specially that at all the time during Snorkeling, the tour guides went along with us. We could not imagine that our Snorkeling could have gone more smoothly than what we all experienced. Thanks again to Onbird Team.

This was such an incredible trip with the family including a 14 month old. The staff was so helpful and even made it easy for me to snorkel as I am older. They are worth every Dong and very safe

They were in touch with us a few days before. Picked us up on time. There were only 10 in total for the day including my 2 kids. And 3 staff adopted 2-4 of us to take us through the snorkel. First stop was on shallow waters to train us briefly. Next 2 stops were 45 minutes of deep waters with amazing corals. They were gracious enough to show as a presentation of each location and what we can find. Later, they pointed us to what was mentioned in the presentation when we actually came across those in the location. They are very considerate to the environment and educated on how and why not to disturb them while snorkel. My kid who’s 7 picked up snorkel and improved as the day progressed. The day ended with a treat of fruits and healthy drinks. Thank you Alex, Tony and others.

We have snorkeled in many countries and we had a cloudy day so the coral and fish were not so brilliant but the team was great and we still had a great afternoon. We were picked up at our hotel promptly and proceeded to the boat launch site near Sao Beach on the south-eastern side of Phu Quoc. The boat was speedy and the snorkeling gear was top notch. I wasn’t forced to wear a life jacket while snorkeling since I’m a good swimmer which was nice. Plenty of guides and a dedicated photographer for a small fee which was a nice option. There was a first stop to give everybody a chance to checkout the gear and to give first timers a brief lesson. Slides/pictures were presented by the lead guide which added an educational aspect to the tour. We stopped at 2 locations with the first one more focused on coral and the second one with a variety of fish including some large Parrot fish. At the fourth stop (Horseshoe Island) we had an included refreshment, fresh fruit and an opportunity for picture taking with a beautiful background. All in all a great relaxing day with nice staff.

Very professional team of guides, but at the same time relaxed, upbeat, and friendly. I enjoyed the tour very much and am already looking forward to doing another tour with OnBird next year.

I cannot recommend this trip enough. It was amazing. You’ll see a lot of ai reviews on these tours but as someone that jumps right to the negative reviews i hope you take the time to read this one. Been on countless excursions for snorkeling and this one was memorable. Small group, 10 of us, picked us up from our hotel and great communication that they’d run a few minutes late and had tons of info to give us before hand on what to bring, wear, eat etc. Super organized and as 3 be try stupid teens travelling their instructions in full english were so clear and for how many vietnamese people i’ve tried to talk to in english these guys really have been practising. Not only that, but when we got on the bus they were making super funny jokes and were so friendly and just easy to be around instead of stressed and rushed. They were so polite with us young ladies and were helping us everywhere we go (were fairly clumsy as a group) We got to the boat they helped us on gave us life vests and such careful instructions their detail on the safety was so good. I’m a big animal and wildlife girl so the way they were so kind about protecting the reefs and making sure everyone knew how to swim properly to avoid damaging the reef and wildlife was amazing. They did a mini snorkel swim lesson before our first stop in a shallow beach which a lot of the travellers definitely needed. When we got to the reefs instead of being in huge groups where it’s a free for all they split us up into smaller groups and had a guide stay in the water nearby us and lead us to good areas. Quiet spots where there were no huge crowds in site like a lot of these other tours get badly rated on. Genuinely such a sweet group of guys running it and they seem like all such close friends it was really cute. As well the reefs they brought us to were secluded, gorgeous and sooo many fish. You can choose to wear a life vest or not but i recommend wearing so you don’t get tired of swimming. They also bring tons of water bottles for you to have as many as you want! When we got to the island to eat and rest at the end the fruit was super fresh and lots of drinks to choose from as well that they offer 1 free included. Thank you guys so much for a lovely trip we would 100% book again. If you’re looking for smaller group, still so much fun and lots of fish this is the one for you. I genuinely appreciate how this team focuses on safety and comfort, especially for beginners. They start with training in less deep water and patiently guide you until you feel confident. The instructors were very supportive throughout the experience. The provision of snorkeling glasses for people with specs is a thoughtful touch. Wonderful experience from the moment of booking via our hotel. Excellent communication and information prior to the trip, a smooth pick up and drive to the port. A safe speedboat ride and then buried detailed explanation of how to put on the equipment and to use it. Despite having had some bleaching 18 months ago, the coal was much better than I had to fear and so many beautiful fish. The barbecue on the beach was delicious and the tall guides could not have been more helpful.

The tour was small and not overcrowded which made it awesome. The guides were so friendly and helpful and most importantly the tour was not rushed like others. Highly recommended Onbird tours.

The corals in Phu Quoc are seriously impressive, honestly on par with the Maldives. We’ve been to quite a few snorkeling spots around Asia and this one really stands out. So many vibrant and diverse coral formations all in one place. Big shoutout to OnBird for the amazing service. The team was incredibly patient and encouraging, especially for our cousin who had zero swimming experience. They made everyone feel safe and confident. Definitely a trip to remember 🌴🐠

This is my second time snorkeling at sea with your company. The instructor was very experienced and encouraged me to try snorkeling without a life jacket to experience diving into the deep sea. He took great care of me throughout, using his expertise to guide and teach me, providing attentive protection so that I could enjoy the experience with peace of mind. This time, I saw different kinds of fish, huge sea urchins, and various types of coral – truly unforgettable! The snorkelling tour was fantastic! My husband and I appreciated everything about it - the careful attention to details before the trip, great communication, and safe and responsible driving (transport and boat!). Colin was incredibly knowledgeable about the reef and the fish, and provided a very educational talk as we drive to the boat launch. As a less confident snorkeler, I really appreciated the initial stop for us all to get properly fitted with the gear and be instructed in best snorkeling practices. Colin’s guidance in the water really enriched the experience. All of the staff who accompanied us were professional, helpful and encouraging throughout the tour.

We had such a good time, it was genuinely the best snorkeling experience we’ve ever had. Our instructor Kai took the time to explain everything to us and was informative about the equipment, demonstrated how to use everything and explained to us all the fish we would see. We were particularly impressed by how conscientious Kai was about protecting the coral and we appreciated this. Kai showed us around the reefs, we felt comfortable around him and safe underwater. He even took the time to show us how to make air circles under water, how sea anemones reacted when we got too close and showed us we could cup the jellyfish which really enriched our experience. Everything was truly fantastic and made for a great experience which we will be highly recommending to anyone visiting Phu Quoc. Absolutely Fantastic Snorkeling Experience with OnBird Phu Quoc! We had an amazing snorkeling experience with the OnBird Phu Quoc team. The entire trip was very well organized and smooth from start to finish. Before entering the water, the team gave us a proper warm-up and briefing, which made us feel comfortable and confident. We then visited two different coral reefs, spending around 50 minutes at each spot, which was more than enough time to enjoy the underwater beauty. The snorkeling itself was outstanding — we could see many colorful fishes and beautiful corals very clearly. The water visibility was great, and the guide Kevin brother was very attentive and supportive throughout. After snorkeling, we were taken to a lovely island spot to relax during sunset, where they served fresh fruits and juice, which was a perfect way to end the experience. Overall, the experience was too good and truly memorable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Phu Quoc who wants a safe, relaxing, and high-quality snorkeling tour. 🌊🐠

Thanks for a great morning of snorkeling - this tour is perfect for new snorkeler but will also satisfy those more experienced with options to head out deep and also to swim over shallow reef areas. 9yo nephew had a great time as a newby. Crew was awesome very fun and friendly and we enjoyed the beach stop with tasty mango and a fresh coconut/beer! Boat was great too with a shade canopy, and hotel drop off and pick up (even from premier villiage resort) appreciated

We had a fantastic time with the team. We are all strong swimmers but truly appreciated the approach they took to ensure everyone was safe in the activity. They made sure everyone’s equipment worked and we felt very well cared for throughout the activity. The places they took us to were not overly crowded which was great, so we got to see loads of fish and the reef. Thanks for the great day out.

Great morning spent exploring the reefs of the islands... not as much to see as other places we have snorkelled (they did tell us this too when we arrived) and the visibility was a little poor on the day we went - but still it did not spoil the experience. The team were great and very helpful - our tour had a range of experiences from beginner to the more experienced and they catered for all levels. The kit supplied for the snorkelling was excellent and they even had a range for prescription users...would definitely recommend, thank you!
