Amazing South Phu Quoc Tour with Lee! We had the absolute pleasure of exploring South Phu Quoc Island in a Classical Army Jeep with our tour guide and driver, Lee. His driving skills are truly exceptional, and he made us feel completely safe and comfortable throughout the entire trip. Lee's knowledge of the island is amazing, and he shared so many great insights with us. His excellent driving and great personality made our trip incredibly enjoyable. Highly recommended! Great way to enjoy and see places from a local perspective! Full day of fun for the family. Guides were great and made every effort to make sure that everyone has a good time. Try for yourself.
This was our second day in jeep with Jack, this time doing the southern island tour. We enjoyed the very different itinerary, the monastery, the Vietnam war prison camp (that was a bit scary) and then lunch and swimming at Sao Beach. It was beautiful and very clean compared to most of the other beaches we've been to on the island. Recommend this tour.
Was absolutely amazing. Our tour guide Wee Wee was so informative, and made our tour fun and exciting. Had the best time
We did loads & going in the keep was great fun. We saw loads of different things in the island, great lunch & great guides. Thank you
Great day out in the Jeep. Very informative and enjoyable day with our guide weee. Riding in the Jeep was great fun.
Wee Wee was a fantastic guide. Was happy to accommodate our needs and very knowledgeable of the local history. As for the jeep, it was great experience and turned heads everywhere we travelled. Would recommend to all that want to see so traditional side of Phu Quoc, from fishing port to Sunset Town we saw some extreme difference in the islands development.
We had the most amazing day with our guide Thomas. We were picked up in an original US Willy Jeep, taken to the longest, highest, 3 wire cable car in the world. The views were spectacular. We then went on to visit coconut tree prison, which was both horrific and interesting at the same time. A real eye opener. Then on to the local fish sauce factory where you were able to taste some of the sauce and buy some if you wish. Then lunch on Sao beach for lunch and beers!! Really cool vibe there. The best part of the day was when we had the chance to jump in to a local waterfall and have a few beers in nature. What a blast. Final stop was the super interesting local pearl farm then home. What a fantastic day and a highly recommended trip. Thomas was amazing and made the day really enjoyable. A must do trip 😉
Mr Tong was our driver and tour guide. He was such an excellent guide, very knowledgeable on the history of Phu Quoc and all the sites and attractions. There just so much positive feelings that we had that all I can say to summarise is if you come to Phu Quoc, this jeep tour (Mr Tong) should be must on your itinerary. 100% recommended. The highlight was taking a short 15mins hike to swim in an amazing waterfall to cool off from the heat.
It's was good to see a different side of pho quac. We went thru the jungle. Seen cambodia from a small fishing area. Had lunch at a wonderful fish shop on the beach
We had a great time driving around. We visited all places that were on my to see list. The driver was very friendly and accommodating. Lunch was in a country side and was delicious ( you can order what would you like). Thank you for the great time!
Highly recommended, great tour, extremely helpful and nice guide, always attentive to whatever’s needed, he went out of his way to make sure I got a sim card, would’ve been much more of a challenge without his help.
Great experience for a discovery of the south. Our driver Luong was a true local with deep knowledge of the island, its history and the people. I requested to be shown more about the culture and local products while we could skip the beaches (already plenty of time to enjoy those on our own), and he obliged and adapted on the spot. Great lunch spot as well! The jeeps are of course a little bumpy to ride but really well maintained and safe. It is so comfortable to ride with the breeze instead of an air condition system.
The views were amazing at the Star fish beach. The tour on the jeep safari all through the rain forest was bumpy and adventurous. The people here are quite energetic and welcoming. Loved the overall vibes. It's rejuvenating!
Really fun family trip! We booked 2 jeeps as were a family of 5 and had a private tour of the South. Guide helped us plan our own schedule and even helped carry bags and take family photos for us at random! He made the trip really fun by using the radio equipment and siren on his jeep to entertain the kids. The lunch was fantastic- food and location amazing! Really recommend them - even if a bit pricey. It was worth it.
We had a blast touring the southern part of Phu Quoc with Tong. We saw so many local soots. We opted to do the cable car on another day in Phu Quoc, and if you have the time, it was a great option for us. Tong spoke great English and was very passionate about his love for Phu Quoc. Look past the empty buildings that line the streets and explore Phu Quoc’s local culture on a fun Jeep ride. Thanks for a great day Tong. Note - We toured the northern part of the island on another Jeep tour (same company). I would recommend this tour too.. The areas are very different from each other.
Our guide Mr Son was a legend. I would highly recommend this tour. Local knowledge was great but being able to have a go at driving the jeep was amazing. The lunch was sensational - the garlic butter shrimp amazing.
Our guide, Sun, picked us up from our hotel, bang on time, in an original 60 year old jeep. It was fantastic to tour around the island in transport which has so much history. Sun was friendly, kind and very informative. Sun pointed out any places of interest when we were driving and talked to us about like in Phu Quoc and how it has changed over the years. We were very keen to understand more about local life and culture, so Sun tailored the tour for us. The highlights of the tour, apart from spending time with a very knowledgeable guide, was - visiting the local harbour and seeing the fishermen at work, viewing the stalls and seeing fish drying in the sun. - going to the temple and seeing the spectacular views from the top of the hill. - having a salt coffee at the side of the road with Sun and getting an understanding of local life. We had a wonderful time during the day and would highly rate this tour.
Son is a great tourist guide, speak good English and take care of us. Let us experience to drove a jeep in the mountain !!
A fantastic experience and one of the highlights of our time in Phu Quoc. Our guide Son was so good and did a fantastic job showing us the sights and sharing his knowledge of local culture. He was genuine in the way he looked after is and went above and beyond to make sure we had a good time. Highly recommended!
Tim and Lee were good fun. It was great to see the northern part of the Island. It was a full on day and a lot of first life experiences!
Thong was an awesome guide. He is very knowledgeable and cares deeply about the region. This is a must do activity when in Phu Quoc.
OMG what an amazing experience and day I highly recommend this Jeep tour to anyone travelling to Phu Quoc, Son the driver is 1 of the best tour guides in the business not just in Phu Quoc but world wide, nothing was to hard or out of his way his can do attitude made the day so enjoyable for the whole group. He has exceptional knowledge of the area and his English was really easy to understand which made it great to joke around and just learn everything, thanks you once again Son for the amazing day from your new Aussie friends. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The bad weather became insignificant with Tom’s engaging and informative tour. Fabulous for the family with historical insight, current trends, facts and revelations all mixed in with natural and man made trip experiences. Goes well beyond expectations. And we have returned year on year.
We had a fantastic time with Phu Quoc Jeep Tours. Tom, our guide, was friendly and knowledgeable, sharing fascinating stories about the island's history and culture. Tom is an expert guide and tailors each experience to suit. We especially enjoyed our lunch at the beach and swim in the waterfall. This was our second trip with Phu Quoc Jeep Tours - and we hope to come back for more! Thank you Tom 🙏😊
Highly recommend this trip as a great way to see the island, as getting around can be difficult if you don’t have a motorbike.
We had such a great day driving around with the Jeep! It was quite hot on the day but Tom had lots of water and some cold beers to go with that helped! Tom was such a nice guide and super accommodating to drive around the places where we wanted to go. I even got to drive the Jeep for a bit hehe Highly recommend the experience, definetly one of kind in Vietnam!
Had a great day out with Si and Mr Nam. Nothing was a problem for them. Very punctual pick up from hotel and so many photo opportunities. Great tour!
Really enjoyed our Jeep tour in the South of Phu Quoc island! Our guide, Son, was very friendly and knowledgeable of the island and Vietnamese culture. We visited the Pearl Farm Museum, Coconut Prison, Fish Sauce Factory, Bai Sao (beach), local restaurant, Buddhist Pagoda and a swim at a local waterfall. All the locations were interesting and not too busy, but we found the staff at the Pearl Farm Museum to be a bit pushy in trying to get you to buy something (not related to the actual Jeep tour company), so maybe skip this location. The jeep was very cool, from the 1960s and was perfect for the 2 of us. Son provided us with plenty of water, fresh coconuts and showed us how to eat local pancake. Tour has great flexibility on where you want to go ( we even made an unplanned stop at a local bee/honey farm) and we were picked up/dropped off at our hotel.
Visited the north of phu quoc with Mr Son on a half day tour and it was an eye opening experience for us all. We first visited the Coconut Prison and learnt first hand from Mr Son about what had happened there and the countless of tortures that were executed that were unimaginable. We then proceeded for a more light hearted sightseeing of the island - towards the pepper farm where we also saw many tropical plants! The highlight was the self drive in the forest where my boyfriend took over the wheel and had so much fun driving an old American jeep! We arrived at the star fish beach which was otherwise difficult to get to and witness the beautiful beach and sea! Mr Son was a lovely guide who had made our tour very special by sharing his personal anecdotes and nuggets of information about the island - we fell in love with island more with him!
What better way to explore Phu Quoc than in a classic Army Jeep! And Phu Quoc Jeep Tours does it right! My husband and I had the good fortune to spend two days, discovering the whole island, with our super fun and extremely knowledgeable guide, Son Nguyen. Son was a treasure trove of information, so kind and eager to accommodate any request. We visited the amazing National Park, Pepper Farm, Sim Wine Vineyard, stopped for a quick beer at Sao Beach, enjoyed a delicious lunch in an over-water restaurant, cruised over to Starfish Beach for a refreshing swim, and in the end made a very good friend. Son took us off the beaten path giving us a true sense of place and Phu Quoc culture. We even ventured out to the Southern Islands by boat! I can not recommend Phu Quoc Jeep Tours and the services of Son more wholeheartedly. Our visit to Phu Quoc could not have been more pleasant or memorable. Thank you Son for such a great time!
If you’re after a generic tour in an air conditioned van, then this tour isn’t for you. If you want something unique, special, fun, memorable and tailored to you then do this tour! I did this with my wife and teenage daughter and we all had a blast. Tom, the guide and business owner, is Vietnamese and speaks English really well. I had sent an email when looking at booking the tour and he was very responsive with communication. Tom is passionate about Vietnam with a wealth of local knowledge, great conversation and great fun. He gave us several plan options for the day and we got to decide what we did. We also changed our mind during the day and that’s fine with Tom because it’s all about having a good time. If you only do one tour, then do this one and do it early in your holiday because Tom has the knowledge and care to point you in the direction of whatever other activities you might be thinking of doing.
The jeep tour was a great way to see the island. We also learned about the local history and culture and ate local food. The tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable.
Thomas has the best personality that kept us entertained and laughing the entire day! We visited a wine farm, a pepper farm, the viewpoint for Cambodia, star fish beach, a secret beach spot and ended at Rory's. The day took longer than expected and I was surprised that Thomas was still happy to finish the tour. He had fruit and beers stocked in the jeep and we each got a turn to drive the jeep. Definitely a must! I can't wait to go back to Phu Quoc to enjoy another tour with Thomas 😁
We had such a fantastic experience with Mr. Son as our guide. We are a family with younger kids and we’re helped to have an amazing day. Snorkeling, Fishing, Cliff Diving and a bbq on a beach that was delicious. I can’t recommend the tour enough!
We had an incredibly great day with our tour guide Tòng, who always accommodated our wishes and, for example, stayed discreetly in the background during our free time at Starfish Beach, but was still approachable at any time and was always available to take a few tourist photos of us ;-). We can only recommend this excursion to everyone, as you really get to know a lot about the north and learn a lot of history about the island, which was always filled with a few little anecdotes. Even though communication in English was sometimes a bit difficult, a very warm relationship developed over the course of the day - thanks for everything!
First of all the driver was great told about the history of Vietnam. Unfortunately, the prison was closed. The beach was disappointing. The path to go to the waterfall was dangerous to us.
With our guide Jack and the army jeep we had a blast again. There was delicious food on the southeast coast, the cable car experience was not so much our thing, but the organizer can't help it if we didn't want to inform ourselves in advance and do it so badly. The silk factory was interesting and visiting the fish sauce factory will remain an unforgettable smell experience
Super great private tour...we took the south tour as a couple and still attached the Starfish beach...👍 from the pick up to the end Super great information about the country and people. SI the guide told us a lot (in English)...SI and the driver...I forgot the name but he was pretty much the first Vietnamese with a full beard for me 😂 entertained us super great. The old Army Jeep was in good condition...please remember, the driving is not like in a new car...🤪 drinks were also available...but already had the feeling that the two did not think that we drink sooo much beer...🙄😂🍺
