It was great to be able to customize the cycling tour based on your liking and is a good way to explore the city. Recommended to anyone who would like a little detour of adventure instead of the usual water activities

Shi was a wonderful guide... He's very knowledgeable and it was very compassionate. He was very caring to adjust the seats perfectly before we left. The equipment was very top notch. I had a problem with heat exhaustion on the way and passed out on the side of the road :-(... When I came to I was on his lap and he was giving me first aid. It was kind of a strange experience for me but I felt very comfortable and protected with his care. He quickly arranged a taxi to take my wife and I back to our hotel.
The rural cycling tour was a fantastic way to explore some of the local industries and see part of the rural landscape that Phu Quoc has to offer. Our guide was obviously passionate not only about Phu Quoc but also Vietnam. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour and would recommend it to anyone who wants to learn a bit more about the island.
An enjoyable morning with lots of local knowledge. Well balanced for both father and teenage son. Good bikes.
Tried blueberry wine and jam, tried peppers, tried fish sauce at a fish sauce factory, saw a local market, saw a charcoal farm.
Our family had the pleasure of experiencing the Cycle and Trek tour on Phu Quoc Island with Hornbill Adventures. The entire experience, from the start to end, was wonderfully organized. Mr T was our guide and he took really great care of all of us, especially my teen son. After almost 2 hours of cycling with a few stops (temple, market, etc) we trekked through the forest to swim at the waterfall. At the waterfall, we were met with Si and Hala who had prepared a delicious steamed chicken for us! The tour felt like we were on an outing with our Vietnamese buddies! I must mention that the bicycles and gears provided were in excellent condition and impeccably clean, which added to the overall comfort and enjoyment of the tour. If you're looking for a memorable and adventurous way to explore the beauty of Phu Quoc Island, I highly recommend going with Hornbill Adventures. You will not regret this opportunity to hang out with the lovely folks.
Our guide T was very knowledgable. We really enjoyed this cycling tour that brought us out of the touristic zones into the rural areas of the island.
We are a fairly active and fit couple in our mid 60’s and we were looking for a guided cycle tour in Phu Quoc which would give us a great feel for the local culture as well as some exercise! We had a fabulous ride this morning with Si and Lam and they told us to the fish sauce factory, local market and some temples. We really enjoyed the picturesque coffee stop and at all times safety was paramount. Si was extremely knowledgeable on the locality’s history and gave us an insight into the wider Vietnamese culture. Lam was very delightful and supported us well. The ride was mainly flat, not demanding and very enjoyable. We would thoroughly recommend this to anyone considering a fun bike ride and we can do it any one can ( even on a warm day)!
Warm welcome from Mr Tan, we were Lucky , only us ! We did exactly as mentioned in the tour but we asked to return by Bike instead of the bus and it was great ! Easy ride , fun and learnt a lot ! We definetly recommend this tour with Mr Tan !
Hac is one of the best tour guides I’ve ever had. The tour itself was fantastic. I highly recommend this particular tour. One important note: when you go to the rice wine brewer, if you want to buy any alcohol there, get the lower percentage alcohol. The brewery does not have a label or package. Stronger alcohol of 24% or more can only be taken out of the country if it comes in the company’s package with their label. For lower percentage alcohol, this is not necessary and can be taken out in the plastic bottles they give you. Therefore I suggest the jackfruit alcohol. Refer to the attached image for the specific laws. this image comes from another brewery that makes alcohol from a local purple flower.
Great day out with fascinating stops and very manageable biking. Si was a great guide and made the day even more enjoyable. We visited a small winemaker and tasted various strength sweet berry wine, stopped in at a pepper farm and blew our taste sensations with all manner of peppers. Then proceeded to the fish sauce factory… despite learning about what goes into the infamous sauce it was actually tasty! Then back to more brewing, but this time rice whiskey. A fabulous distillation set up in the middle of nowhere and some very tasty rice whiskey to take on to our final stop. On to the kilns where charcoal is made and a fabulous whole chicken cooked up for us. Every step of the way we got real insights and information about living in Phu Quoc. A genuine must do tour and highly recommended.
I and my friends had a wonderful Cycling tour experience in Pho Quoc Island. The very traditional village like Fish / Charcoal factories and local farming. An excellent local Vietnam style lunch which is totally prefect to us too!! Mr. Si is the best tour guide with good English speaker - a nice young helpful guy - the most responsible and thoughtful person, he took care us super well, and he can also share some Vietnam background story to us. We will highly recommend it when you travel in Phu Quoc.
Thank you Si for such an amazing day-tour! Great energetic and passionate tour-guide, filled with so much knowledge. He catered to our needs (both being novice biker riders), where we always felt safe and by the end, very accomplished. It was fantastic to step away from the touristy spots, and really see the real Phu Quoc, tasting the delicious food, authentically made drinks and taking in the wonderful sights. We’re already recommending to our friends back home - this is the tour to go on! Great English and good vibes all round. We even got to bring home some gorgeous handmade jewellery. Thank you Hornbill adventures!
Wonderful visit on a ride around Phu Quoc on really nice bicycles with an amazing guide, Si, who happens to have really good English too!! Touring more remote areas with authentic traditions of making charcoal and making a Vietnamese rice wine. (We choose to skip the fish sauce as we saw a tour on it. ) I love seeing how things are made and this tour really hit a high note for me. Our guide was amazing and had good patience due to my older friend was slower on the bike, but I am glad we took this tour. It was not too challenging, but definitely was something different than I would normally do. I like having an option besides getting burned on a beach ⛱️ 😂. I would encourage this booking, biking and cultural tour for most any age and condition. My friend was 75 and I am 42.
This was an amazing tour with a fairly easy bike challenge. Si was the guide and I can't recommend him enough. He was very good with me and my older friend, whom needed to adapt to bike riding 😁. The bike ride, tours were all really fun and unique for those of us who don't play at the beach as much as well!. Personally the bike ride wasn't too bad for the avg person I believe and the quality of the bikes and the knowledgeable of Si will create a good trip for everyone. Accept the challenge and do this trip
This trip was great! We came to Phu Quoc during the rainy season so we were looking for outdoor activities as beach or pool wouldn't be the main entertainment. Although it rained a bit during the tour, it was totally doable and refreshing to bike around in the rain :) we learned so much from our guide who shared a lot from local culture and answered all our questions. The whole company is focused on community based tourism and wants you to have the best experience possible. We even did a hiking tour with them and it was equally fun, adventurous and very educational. Wishing the guides all the best and good luck 🤞 and all the travellers, this is a wonderful choice if you're looking for some authentic and outdoorsy tours in Phu Quoc.
It was a really cool adventure. The bikes are excellent! The tour guides were humorous, knowledgeable, and just wonderful to ride with. I am a so elated that discovered this service, and it was provided with impeccable attention. Thank you Si and T, and the wonderful group that was with us!
Great guides who planned a very unique and authentic bicycle tour. We visited many family owned factories and had a great lunch. The tour guides are very friendly, knowledgeable and definitely know how to plan an amazing tour!
We’ve done several bike tours while in Vietnam and thought this one was one the best. The equipment was excellent - great bikes and good helmets. The guide and his team were great as well. They selected good roads (not always an easy task!). Would higher recommend.
The Hornbill guys are THE BEST!! I wanted to rent a bicycle to ride on my own for a few days and they were able to accommodate - they set me up with an AWESOME new bike that had all the things I needed - helmet, lights, lock, bike bag, etc. My friend rented one the next day too! Would absolutely recommend! Super helpful and communicative.
I can't speak highly enough about this tour. I can't remember having a better day ever. The two young guides who led me, Si and Tan, took great care of me. They are both educated young men with near native English proficiency. They know their business too. Any question I had about anything concerning the island, they were able to answer - to include the flora and fauna we passed by. They also customized my trip to include some of the specialized interests I have. It seems like they went over and above board for me. Our break and dinner stops were at family operated businesses which made me happy to support. And there were always kids around to have fun playing with. And the chicken dish we had at the dinner break was incredible as well. Thanks for a great day Si, Tan. I especially appreciate how safety conscious you guys are.
It's interesting to see the non- touristy part of Phu Quoc with a bike. We travelled to the West by passing through the new airport. Visited fish sauce factory & local Winery. Then cycling through local village with beautiful mountain view. Lastly we visited a charcoal factory & local restaurant by the sea to get some food. The bike is in very good condition! Our guide - Hac took a lot of photos for me 😄. Very nice guide & take care of me the whole journey. Thank you so much & hopefully can join more tours from them when I travelled to Phu Quoc again.
Great guide, great experience snorkeling for the first time. We were picked up from the vin pearl resort. We made our way to two snorkeling locations and then lunch on an island
Very nice morning 🤩 Unfortunately the wine production was closed due to the New Year celebrations in Vietnam but our guide took us to a Pearlfarm instead 😊
A nice and interesting tour with a knowledgeable tour guide who spoke perfect English. Nice and well equipped bikes. Interesting destinations during the trip. We can recommend the trip!!!! Ralf and Carita !!
