Sonaga Beach Resort & Villas Phu Quoc

Having taken a walk down the beach, I stumbled upon this place and thought I'd stop and get something to eat. I explained that I wasn't a guest, but WILL be buying food. This was no problem at all to the staff. When going to the bar I was served by a pleasant young man and lady. There was another man present who looked professional, it turned out to be the General Manager Stefan. What a lovely man he is. He explained that he is doing his best to improve the English of his staff, and to be fair they can communicate sufficiently enough to get by. Still always wise to have Google Translate handy however. As you can see by my pictures and video, it's a beautiful area around the pool, with the beach approximately 10 seconds walk away 😍. Due to the fantastic hospitality provided by Stefan and his staff I decided to stay for the rest of the afternoon and have a few drinks. It turned into quite a few more drinks 😁. I am actually here for 3 months and this will DEFINITELY be my go to place. If you're planning on staying here, I can guarantee that you will be extremely satisfied with the cleanliness of the place and the general attitude of the staff. I don't think anything would be too much of a problem for these people. You can go to Sonaga Beach Resort with confidence 🧡

5 STAR HOSPITALITY! HOSPITALITY! HOSPITALITY! AMAZING ! My family and I stayed in the 5 bedroom villa . They staff made us feel like home ! This place has all amenities you need in a resort . The General manager Mr. Việt Stefan is a delight ! Hands on , on the ground ! He greats every guest individually. You don’t get type of service anywhere else . I had over 12 guest … he offered to make us a private BBQ dinner . The staff is like family again we even invited them to eat with us that’s how comfortable we felt ! 3 POOLS and private pools and a private beach ! I will like to thank ALL the staff for welcoming us ! You made my family really happy ! Thank you sooooo much !

The hotel is about 10 minutes from the airport. Shuttle bus is included but I didn't know I need to book at least 1 day in advance to schedule it. So end up need to call grab. It is located in the middle of nowhere, and was surrounded with some junk yard + constructions, so you can't enjoy the view. Hopefully it will be improved after the surrounding areas are well developed. The hotel was very quiet, I mean it is pretty much empty. I only seen a couple of tourist during my stay. The breakfast was great, lots of varieties and taste great. Unfortunately, due to the low occupancies, some food were not refilled and got dried out. If there are more visitors there I believe that will be a lot better.
