We had a wonderful stay at Seashells Phu Quoc Hotel! The room was clean and spacious, and waking up to the magnificent ocean view was such a treat. We also enjoyed the breakfast, and the location was perfect ! just a short walk to the night market and plenty of restaurants. The complimentary airport transfer was a big plus, making our trip so much more convenient and hassle-free. Highly recommended for a relaxing stay in Phu Quoc!

We stayed at Seashells Resort & Spa for a family wedding, and unfortunately, our overall experience was disappointing, particularly when it came to communication and customer service. There were definitely positives: the resort is beautiful, the location is very convenient, the rooms were mostly clean and well maintained (the waterfront room had an awful smell) and the housekeeping and bell staff were kind and helpful. The breakfast was decent, although the menu was quite repetitive. However, the biggest issue for us was how our room arrangements were handled. We were told on arrival that the waterfront rooms we had booked were not yet available, which we understood. We were then told we would move rooms the day before the wedding. When that day came, we were asked to check out at noon and wait several hours before checking back in, with all of our belongings. We had young children, luggage, wedding dresses, suits, and other wedding items with us, so this was extremely inconvenient and stressful. When we asked if we could remain in our existing rooms a little longer, we were told the hotel had overbooked and that we had to wait. We also had an uncomfortable experience at the pool where we felt singled out when asked to show our room cards, despite having used the pool previously without being asked. I can’t speak to the staff member’s intentions, but the interaction left us feeling unwelcome. One of the waterfront rooms also had a very strong musty/mould-like odour and visible moisture damage on the ceiling, which is something I would recommend checking before accepting a waterfront room. We travelled with 2 young children one being an infant and I would not describe this hotel to be family/children friendly. The playground outside by the pool is outdated and is dangerous. We weren’t expecting perfection or special treatment because of the wedding. We simply expected clearer communication, professionalism, and a welcoming level of customer service. Unfortunately, that was the biggest thing missing from our stay. Also to add, the staff here seem bothered or burdened. Never happy and unfortunately lack customer service. I can’t believe one of our immediate family members booked a wedding here. Please be aware as this is not true 5 star quality.
We had a fantastic stay at Sea Shell Hotel Phu Quoc and were impressed from beginning to end. The hotel has a beautiful atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff, and excellent service. One of the absolute highlights was the amazing breakfast buffet! The selection was huge and very varied, with fresh fruit, delicious hot dishes, bread, pastries, and many other options. Everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and regularly replenished. A perfect way to start the day! The location is also excellent. The hotel is situated in a very convenient and beautiful area, making it easy to explore Phu Quoc. We especially loved having direct access to the hotel’s private beach. It was wonderful to relax by the sea and enjoy the peaceful surroundings without having to travel anywhere. Overall, we felt extremely comfortable and well looked after. The combination of the great location, private beach, excellent service, and outstanding breakfast made our stay truly special. We highly recommend Sea Shell Hotel Phu Quoc and would definitely come back. A wonderful place for a relaxing and memorable stay on Phu Quoc!
Efficient check-in. The junior suite on the 5th floor is a beautiful, spacious room with a fantastic sea view. All staff, from reception to kitchen, are very professional and courteous. The breakfast spread is impressive - there’s an egg station, and a great variety of dishes. There’s a decent gym in the basement, but the treadmills are getting old and will soon need replacing. Serenity Spa was great - we were offered a free foot massage upon check-in. The main issue in the room for me was the lack of sockets on the right side of the bed. In fact there were very few sockets in the room to charge phones/laptops. The pool area is very nice. The beach looks great, but unfortunately it's actually quite dirty. Lots of plastic bottles and trash floating in the sea, and all along the beach to the left of the hotel, which is a shame. It would be great if the hotel invested in cleaning it all up. We ended up going to Khem beach three times, so we didn't have to swim right by our hotel. It's a beautiful seafront property, but the rubbish on the beach and in the sea let it down. Location is good - there are plenty of restaurants nearby. A taxi to Sunset Town takes 45mins, but it's not too expensive.
I expected a luxury five-star resort like this to have a completely smoke-free pool area, especially since it is filled with families and young children. To my surprise, the poolside is actually designated as a smoking area, and there were people smoking almost constantly throughout the day. Having to endure wave after wave of cigarette smoke while trying to relax and enjoy the pool during our vacation was extremely unpleasant. Instead of a peaceful and refreshing experience, we were repeatedly exposed to secondhand smoke. This is simply unacceptable for a luxury five-star resort and falls far short of the standard guests would reasonably expect. I sincerely hope the hotel will reconsider its smoking policy around the pool and make the entire pool area smoke-free, so that all guests—especially families with children—can truly enjoy their stay.
