JB took us on a fantastic tour of Cambodian food with great humor and stories stopping at stalls, as first time visitor you not even considered, to reveal great tasting dishes. It is an adventure not to be missed.

This food tour was absolutely exceptional. I would give it a 10 star… The Authentic experience the logistics of the Transportation the education and knowledge of the tour guide was fabulous! Small group experience, Authentic exposure to the Locals highly recommend!
What a fantastic way to experience Phnom Penh! Panha was a wonderful guide: friendly, engaging and knowledgeable, and he made the whole evening feel relaxed and fun. We travelled by tuk tuk through different neighbourhoods, sampling a terrific variety of Cambodian food at local eateries and markets, with the evening finishing with a drink in a garden setting. It was much more than just a food tour. It was a great introduction to local life, flavours and places that we simply would not have discovered ourselves. Come hungry! There is plenty to try. A fun and memorable evening and one of the experiences I would happily recommend to friends visiting Phnom Penh. Yick, Leen & Soon
Jackson is a great guide. This is a must do experience!
Jackson is the man! This was a phenomenal evening on the town. We sampled many incredible foods! We learned, laughed and witnessed a vibrant culture in action. The tuk tuk at night was also a nice experience. It was a great way to finish a great day in the city. Again, Jackson and our drivers were fantastic!
Great experience we tried many local food dishes and heard about the history from our guide Jackson.
Jackson went above and beyond to make this an incredible experience! It far exceeded any expectations that we had. The tour lasted longer than expected, the tasting was so varied and his thoroughness at explaining not only the food but the culinary history was awesome!
Really great trip and highly recommended. We ate at a number of food stalls and a couple of local restaurants that we would never have thought to go in. The food was delicious, the drivers really courteous (making sure we stayed dry wherever possible) and the 2 guides were so knowledgeable. Really worth doing this for some authentic Cambodia food!
Really enjoyed our food tour. Was not able to book directly through their website from US because credit card kept getting declined, but the same tour is available on Viator so I was able to book it that way. Only 4 on our tour which was great. I feel like the amount of food was perfect. I was definitely full at the end but was able to try everything. Some dishes better than others, but I liked the variety. We tried 4 of 8 things that I had flagged as must try while in Cambodia so that worked for me. Communication was good and they showed up right on time at my hotel.
Jackson our tour guide was amazing in his knowledge of local cuisine with a sprinkling of Cambodian history. Food was great (and safe) giving us both the flavours and the environment where it is commonly served.
Good value for money. Lots of different food and the guides were very knowledgeable! A great introduction to the city and Cambodian food.
This is a great introduction to Cambodian food . Not only did I get to sample local foods but to see more of the city and night life. I enjoyed it very much. Thanks
Superb. I’ve done food tour in many cities since this one, but it still stands out as the best. Highly recommended.
What a great experience! We got to try a wide variety of delicious food. Jackson was an engaging, knowledgeable guide who not only told us about the food but a bit about the history and culture associated with. He was professional and friendly and there was never a dull moment. I would recommend this tour to anyone. Thank you Jackson!
A happy evening tour of small eareries, most street vendors or market operators. The food is authentic and you are dining among locals. Beers aplenty which compliments the food as Jacko, our guide provides fascinating commentary and insights into being a resident in Phnom Penh. The people watching was awesome, a real treat seeing locals go about their evening activities. A great way to experience the city evening.
JB from start to finish was fantastic. We would highly recommend this food tour. The different areas that we were taken, the food that we got to sample and to places that we wouldn't have normally eaten at, everything was delicious. One of the many highlights for us was being able to sample grasshoppers and crickets, get on board, they would be great with a beer.
It was incredible! Super delicious food, Jackson as the perfect guide and all in all, just a wonderful evening!
This was absolutely awesome! Everything was included and the tour last about 3 hours. From fried noodles, sandwiches, and ribs to crispy crickets and stir fried ants. It was an experience I certainly won’t forget. My guide Jackson was very knowledgeable and I had a really great evening.
Everyone should absolutely do this tour!! Our guide was super friendly, our tuk tuk drivers were good fun and the food.....! Well! Everything from coconut dumplings to crickets to a feast of main dishes to the final street food dessert was amazing. I'd do this again and again!!
Jackson was excellent! He was even able to customize our experience on the spot as there were a few Americans who love Durian, wanted to try balut, grasshoppers, and choice parts from a chicken. Highly recommend…food was delicious!
Great experience. Guide and drivers were friendly.
Fantastic food tour. Stopped at loads of local spots enjoying a wide range of Cambodian eats. Excellent value for money. Jackson our guide was superb.
What an experience! JB took us on a wonderful tuk tuk food tour through Phnom Penh that we thoroughly enjoyed. The tour covered a wide range of locations, introducing us to some truly exotic local fare. One dish that stood out was Popiah — we loved it so much that we went back to the same spot twice even after the tour had wrapped up, which says it all! What impressed us most was JB's depth of knowledge. He explained every dish in detail — the ingredients, the preparation, the cultural context — making the experience as educational as it was delicious. Travelling with a vegetarian spouse, I particularly appreciated how thoughtfully JB handled dietary requirements. He was careful to ensure that every dish served to us was free of fish oil, which is no small feat in Cambodian cuisine. That level of attentiveness made all the difference. The tuk tuk driver was an absolute delight too — friendly, cheerful, and made the whole ride part of the fun. Overall, this was a brilliant way to explore Phnom Penh's food culture. If you're in the city and looking for an immersive, well-guided culinary experience, JB's food tour is a must. We would highly recommend it without hesitation!
We had the most incredible experience with Urban Forage on their Phnom Penh street food tour. Our guide was exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable, making the whole evening feel relaxed and immersive from the start. They took us through bustling night markets we would never have had the confidence to explore on our own, sharing insights into the local food culture along the way. One of the highlights was being encouraged to step outside our comfort zone and try local delicacies — including insects! It turned out to be a surprisingly fun (and tasty) part of the night and something we’ll be talking about for years. Every stop felt authentic and thoughtfully chosen, and the whole experience far exceeded our expectations. If you want a genuine taste of Phnom Penh and its food scene, this tour is an absolute must.
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Our guide was J.B. and he was fun, passionate, and informative. He explained everything about what we were eating (and the correct way to flavor it) We sampled a great variety of foods and finished the night in a secluded tropical garden sipping cocktails. We would recommend this tour to anyone with an adventurous appetite!
Absolutely excellent food tour! We went to a massive variety of places, most of which I never would have been able to find going by myself. The guide, Panha, was excellent, providing a lot of interesting detail on Cambodian food culture and customs, and was very friendly and interesting to talk to in general! Would highly recommend this if you’re looking to get a real, authentic sense of how locals eat.
Great experience to local places that were 'holes in the wall' with great tasting food! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and spoke great english. Tuktuks had unlimited beer. A few tips if I were to do it again: We did this when we first arrived. I would wait a bit for eating street food and let our stomachs catch up to the food. We ate SO much food. I would have rather paced myself and left some food at the beginning so I could eat more food at the end of the tour. If you are trying to do this on a smaller budget, you can do a food tour with a local Tuktuk driver or through Grab. Because of the curation of the restaurants, local food, and support for legitimate long time cooks - I would choose this tour again.
Jackson was the absolute best host to an array of Cambodian foods! He described the cultural significance of each dish and answered all our questions. Highly highly recomend!
Our guide Jackson was lots of fun and we had a few jokes in Australian slang. He was attentive and the tuk tuk drivers were lovely and made sure we were always well hydrated and comfortable. Would highly recommend this tour if you want to try some safe traditional street food. Thanks so much guys!
This was a wonderful evening - experiencing local street foods at many points around the city. We really enjoyed not only the food, but also the company of our fellow guests.
Good representation of Khmer food for first timers e.g. num banhchok in two different ways (plain and a version with curry), num pang etc and we weren't taken to tourist traps. I also thought it was neat that we had a spontaneous spot to see street art. However, I felt that there was context and depth lacking around the cuisine and stalls beyond being escorted around different food spots to feel like the tour actually added value and justified the price tag. For example, I knew about num pang's similarity to banh mi and the French colonial influence despite being a total newbie to Khmer/Cambodian cuisine, but I felt like fellow travellers would have benefited from this and other background. I have done food tours in Istanbul, Mexico City and Bangkok where I felt like I got more explanations with providers such as Culinary Backstreets. At one point, we waited about 15 mins to get to the final stop at Wild, a cocktail bar - it was pretty empty so I wonder whether it would have been possible to get there earlier as our group had finished eating. The tour is fine if you just want a local giving you a broad selection of dishes. I also didn't feel wowed by any of the food spots: they were alright to good, with the highlight being a roadside stall run by a lady serving dessert. I have no idea whether that is a popular dessert or what the name is, though. Really quite minor compared to the rest but it did leave an impression: I was the last to be dropped off by tuk-tuk and our guide left at the penultimate stop, but I felt that he was fairly cold while saying a final goodbye (no acknowledgement). It was late so I'm sure he just wanted to go home but could have been a little more professional. We also had a person from the Midlands in the UK and the guide several times (unsolicited) attempted a Northern accent (not even the same area!) probably to break the ice, which didn't receive any reaction so it would have been good to read the room. I know cultural sensitivity training isn't really a thing there, though and can't speak for my fellow traveller, but I did feel a bit awkward for him. Luckily I had great companions for my tour, so had a good experience because of them.
I would highly recommend this tour. Jackson, our guide, was fantastic. Had so much good food. Went to places I would have never found on my own. The tuk tuk was a great way to see the city
Fantastic tour and great food! Visal was very knowledgeable and we had such a great time with the group.
A great introduction into Cambodian cuisine. tried everything from local restaurants, street food and ended in a cocktail bar. Jackson was a great guide - and we tried everything on offer. Make sure to do this tour hungry!
I booked this tour last minute and am so glad I did. It was one of the highlights in Phnom Penh for me. Jackson messaged before the tour began to introduce himself and inform me of pickup time. At pickup time, Jackson was there with cold beer and water readily available. We ate and drank so much and it was easy as the tuk tuks were there to take us from place to place. We ate at a lot of places that I wouldn’t have known about or would probably have avoided as I don’t know how safe they are. Everything was delicious and fresh and best of all, nobody got sick after. We ended the night at a garden cocktail bar. Amazing experience.
Excellent tour trying some amazing food. Jackson was a great guide and brought a lot of fun and energy to the tour. The drivers were also so friendly and professional throughout. Highly recommend this!
The best yet made all the better with our guide JB His knowledge was excellent Food was exceptional and rounded off tour with a drink in lovely restaurant
We had the most amazing evening touring Phnom Penh by tuk tuk with our fabulously knowledgeable and highly engaging guide Panya. From street food to sampling unusual fruits at the market to a restaurant serving traditional Cambodian dishes and ending at a great cocktail garden we loved every minute and every mouthful. This tour was the highlight of our stay in Phnom Penh.
Had an amazing time with Jackson. All the food and more ?!?! Live music, and even Jackson singing didn't put us out food . Cocktail sat the end of evening was just 👍 Also the drivers added to the night , so safe
Excellent tour with sooo much amazing food! Plenty to drink as well and Tuk tuks are always fun. A great way to see the city at night and try places we wouldn’t normally have stopped at. Our guide Visal was very friendly, had excellent English, was easy to speak with and a great informative guide.
We absolutely loved our food tour. Don’t miss it. There were 8 people total and all of the food was awesome. We even made an impromptu stop at the bug stand for some crickets, frogs, worms, etc. the night was awesome including the final drink at the Wild cocktail bar. to Viator, I would recommend skipping the full sit down meal at stop 5. It was too much food and unecessary and we all preferred the traditional street food stops. We also loved the beer cooler!!
A great way to see Phnom Penh and try out some places and foods that you might not otherwise. All of the stops were great, and Visal was a great guide who communicated well before the pickup and was informative through the tour. Highly recommend
Great way to experience night life in Phnom Penh- Suits all ages! Great selection of food and limitless beer if you can squeeze it in - amongst the limitless dishes! Some you’ll love some might raise an eyebrow or two - but fun and good to go with a group - no more than 8. And you stop for a last cocktail at a lovely bar that you’ll never find again!
Panha was a great guide who kept us refreshed with drinks all evening! He took us to many local authentic places we wouldn’t have gone ourselves. Highly recommend!
I can’t recommend this tour more strongly. I’ve traveled all over the world, and this experience ranks as one of my all-time favorites. Jackson and Cheetah offered a wealth of local knowledge, and they kept it fun throughout. Do yourself a favor and book this one next time you’re in Phnom Penh; I promise you won’t regret it. Just make sure you arrive with an empty stomach since you definitely won’t be leaving with one!
Amazing evening! Jackson and the drivers did everything to make this a fantastic night and ensured that we wanted for nothing. We enjoyed driving around the city and sampling such a wide range of food. The places he took us were places we would not have found on our own. Jackson also did a great job of arranging for the preparation of dishes suitable for a nut allergy. The live entertainment was an added bonus as well as the special stops! He was so knowledgeable and willing to share. Our final cocktail stop was the cherry on the cake and a recommendation for our visit to Siem Reap. Thank you so much Jackson!
Very good tour! It was well organized and communication was consistent throughout. We got to try a bunch of different foods and learned a lot about Cambodian culture.
Jackson was a lively likeable and energetic guide who spent over 4 hours taking us to some great food spots that we would have never found on our own. If you travel to Phnom Penh, you don’t want to miss this tour since it will give you insights into the Cambodian culture that you will hear, see, and taste only on a tour like this one.
Jackson was our guide, who was great fun, very chatty and very informative to all our questions. He explained about the areas and the food we were eating. We were a party of 9 which was great as we got to chat to everyone and that made it also a fun evening. We tried all sorts of food which we possibly wouldn't order , but now have some confidence in ordering in restaurants or getting street food. Which since we have done !! Some of the photos are of Russian Market and what we saw, not what we ate, so don't worry ... We are going to Vietnam and will definitely do this again there. Don't hesitate, just do it, we now have wonderful memories to show. Thanks Jackson for an awesome evening xx
Pace yourself, it's a lot of food :) this is a great way to tour the city and see things like Russian Market.
