Fabulous way to see a snap shot of Phnom Penh, Wat Phnom, central market,Independence Monument, some of the French neighbourhood and a delicious array of local street food. Our guide Vicheka provided insights into the history and culture of the city. I thoroughly enjoyed his informative narrative
you never showed up and you didn't warn. I was waiting for almost one hour for nothing. In the details of the tour you said that I had to be at the meeting point 15 min in advance.
This was a great way to orientate ourselves. The cyclos were great fun. Our guide Vicket (Richard) was knowledgeable and had great English. We ended our tour at a local restaurant which was delicious.
A great tour to do early on your stay in Phnom Penh, its informative and a great introduction to the city. My guide, Vichet, was a pleasure
I have just had a great tour of Phnom Penh, our guide Vichet certainly knew his stuff. The tour was fun and interesting. We tried local delicacies which were amazing. The cyclos were fun, I would definitely recommend it. Thank you Vichet
I had Ponnareay give my tour, and he was very knowledgeable. He knew the answers to all of my questions, and was very friendly and accommodating. Excellent tour,I'm very glad to have seen different parts of Phnom Penh that I wouldn't have known to go to. Would highly recomment. Thanks!
Vicheka was a very friendly and knowledgeable guide. He coordinated the tour very well and provided interesting information about the city. If you want to understand about the city from a locals perspective, I highly recommend this tour. The traditional Cyclo transportation was very enjoyable. It also included trying a lot of different foods too. Vicheka was patient with my travel schedule and guided me to reach my hotel after the tour too. Highly recommended.
Great tour, the guide Vichet was very detailed and helpful in answering questions. He had a lot of knowledge to share. The food and snacks were great, the cyclos were amusing and the stops felt like they were off the beaten path. Tried delicious cane juice! Really enjoyed this tour.
First of all thanks to Vichet for being an awesome guide. The trip itself was amazing and really gave an insight into History and daily life. Vichet told us loads and answered alot of questions. The food tasters were good and definitely added to the whole experience. Only downside is avoid going in Chinese New Year as the market was half closed due to people taking time off to celebrate.
Here we are at our last tour with Grasshopper Adventures. We thought it was a cycling tour, guess we were too excited to read the details 🤣 we had a lot of fun eating khmer street food. It was exotic by all means and we tried it all! Our guide, Vichet gave us a local perspective of Phnom Penh. We could have gone on our own but we would have not learned of the history and information that were presented to us. Many of the items and food sold were uniquely Cambodian, thus require a local to explain and walk us around. Me and my wife can now eat tarantulas and brag about it! Local desserts were pure and tasty! Vichet brought us to the place where Phnom Penh were first created. The history behind was interesting, we now know how Phnom Penh was created. The ride on trishaw was nostalgic as we were ridden past the French old part of the city. The rider skills navigating through Phnom Penh traffic is remarkable! Orkun Grasshopper Adventures, hopefully we can meet again!
Our guide Vicheka was very spirited and knew a lot about the city. It was nice to have a local perspective on the markets/local spots and have a chance to experiment with different insects to eat if we wanted to and several other things of course also! It was also wonderful to meet new friends from the Philippines on the tour!
The tour was awesome and delicious. Vicheka is an excellent guide. Thank you for this great tour! Warm greetings from Germany!
Our guide was named Vicheka and he was great. The tour was definitely worth the money. If you want to get down like the locals I highly recommend this tour. Get ready to try a ton of different foods too. The guide encourages us to try new things but wasn’t pushy, which we really appreciated. More importantly, he was patient with our travel schedule and coordinated transportation for us even after the tour. We were very grateful for his assistance.
I went on the Cyclo Tour on Saturday and it was great fun. Our tour guide Vicheka introduced himself at the office and explained the tour. We visited the local market and got to taste food and found it really interesting. We then boarded a Tuk Tuk an headed to Wat Phnom Hill I personally think we spent too much time here. It was interesting but I didn’t think we need to walk around the total perimeter of the temple. With that aside it was still interesting. We then boarded the Cylco’s and rode thru the French area, Post Office area and ended up outside the Palace where we had the opportunity to taste local things like snake, spiders, grubs & beetles. I passed on this but seeing what was available to eat was interesting. We then joined in with some locals playing some strange game. Overall I really enjoyed this tour and would recommend it. I was lucky as I had a fabulous couple on the tour. Thanks Vicheka!!
We loved this tour, the guide was great! We wanted to discover Phnom Penh in another way and it was successful. We tasted several snacks on the market and visited less touristic places. To do absolutely!
