Raffles Hotel Le Royal

This hotel is flawless and a real treat. We stayed four nights and were sad to leave. The architecture and decoration are beautiful, colonial style restored and added to. The lobby is very smart, the pool setting an oasis and the decor in the Elephant Bar is very characterful. Food and drinks were good, we had breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and drinks in the bar and around the pool and all are to be recommended. It is however the staff that really make this place. Everyone was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They seemed to always know what we needed next and were always there with a smile. Particular mention to the wonderful doorman in his very smart uniform welcoming us back with cold towels and sending us out with umbrellas. We hope to be back.

Such a wonderful experience. Today I attended Raffles Hotel to enjoy a Gin Tasting Experience - a birthday gift and a recommendation from a close friend of mine. From the second I entered the hotel I was welcomed by warm friendly staff. Chary, Lobby Manager greeted me and gave me a nice tour of the hotel. Her knowledge of the hotel and its history was fascinating to listen too and for someone who is deeply invested in Cambodia and Khmer culture, learning the history of the hotel was very interesting for me. I was then handed over to the staff in the Elephant Bar. The gin selection was incredible - from local Cambodian gins to British, Italian, French, the variety was amazing. The bar staff were all fantastic but I need to give a special mention to Piseth whose knowledge of the gins was incredible and his service was brilliant. This was a birthday gift I will never forget and an experience I would recommend to anyone.

Her professionalism and kindness immediately made us feel at home. We would also like to sincerely thank Sophia from the breakfast restaurant team for the lovely anniversary surprise cake and for her thoughtful hospitality, which created a beautiful memory for us. In addition, Slenyo from the breakfast team was extremely friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service during both our second and third day breakfasts. Her positive attitude and warm hospitality made our mornings very enjoyable. Our appreciation also goes to Mr. Muhammad from the Gym & Spa team for his kindness and professionalism while introducing us to the spa facilities and services. We truly appreciated his recommendations and assistance regarding halal food options in the area, especially as an Arabic speaker, which made us feel very comfortable during our stay. We would also like to thank Moni from the Concierge team for his outstanding support in arranging sightseeing recommendations and helping organize our trips around Phnom Penh. His local knowledge and assistance made our experience much smoother and more enjoyable. The level of service, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality shown by your team truly reflects the exceptional standards of Raffles Hotel Le Royal. Had such an incredible stay at Raffles Phnom Penh honestly. We stayed at the Le Royal Suite our first night before heading to Krabey Island and WOW.. the suite was massive, beautiful and just felt so grand and classic. You really feel the history and charm of the hotel the second you walk in. Even from the airport pickup, everything already felt so warm and welcoming. Our driver Chan was the friendliest and made us feel comfortable right away. When we got to the hotel, Manet welcomed us and toured us around the property which was such a nice touch. The hospitality here is really next level. The staff surprised us with champagne and a huge box of truffles which was sooo sweet and unexpected. Everyone we encountered was genuinely kind and accommodating the entire stay. One of the best parts of the trip was meeting Sharon, a fellow Filipina who honestly made our stay extra special. She constantly checked up on us and took such good care of us the whole time. When we came back from Krabey Island, our original suite wasn’t available anymore so she upgraded us to the Landmark Suite and even treated us to dinner at Le Phnom Penh 1929 which was beyond thoughtful. We had dinner with her that night and our server Sapchang was so nice, plus Sreytum, the restaurant manager, came over to chat with us too which made everything feel extra warm and personal. After dinner Sharon brought me to Elephant Bar so I could finally try the famous Jackie O cocktail and it absolutely loved up to the hype! She also arranged a historical tour of the hotel for us with Zayn when we got back. He was the sweetest and you could really tell how passionate he was about the history of the property. Learned so much and honestly appreciated the hotel even more after hearing all the stories. Even leaving for the airport was memorable. Papa/Poppa (not sure if I’m spelling it right 😅) drove us and was so kind. My mom suddenly felt lightheaded during the drive and he immediately offered his liniment to help her feel better. Small gestures like that really stay with you. Overall just such a beautiful stay with genuinely warm people. Luxurious without ever feeling stiff or intimidating. Everyone made us feel so cared for and welcome. Zero complaints at all.. Already can’t wait to go back 🥰
