Wonderful place operated by wonderful hosts. Chiara is so friendly and welcoming and easy to be around and also a fantastic cook! And the place itself is lovely. Tastefully decorated and everything is flawless (the bed was more comfortable than our nice mattress at home). Sarteano is alsoa great base of operations for exploring Tuscany. Everything about our recent vacation to Sarteano was perfect, mainly due to the incredible experience at Palazzo Pio III. There’s no reason to post pictures, because they would not do any justice to the absolutely stunning restoration and renovation work. Chiara and Guido have made a true “home away from home” with incredibly modern and comfortable accommodations (including amazing AC!), a fantastic location, and unmatched hospitality. We still dream about Chiara’s breakfasts, complete with homemade pastries. We hope to come back as soon as possible!
We had a great experience at Palazzo Pio III with Chiara and Guido. The entire property was amazing. Our room was very spacious with excellent natural lighting. The entire property was air-conditioned, which was helpful during the hot July. The breakfast was prepared by Chiara daily with plenty of food selections and special requests. The common area/breakfast room was very homey. It was a very comfortable space to hang out with friends who were also in town. The location was excellent as well. We enjoyed our stay very much with very personal hospitality from Chiara and Guido.
Stunning property! Room was beautiful, breakfast was fantastic (best cappuccino ever!). The hosts are lovely and were so knowledgeable about the local restaurants and sights to see. We will absolutely stay here again and I’d recommend it to anyone.
We had an AMAZING stay at the Palazzo Pio III! Chiara was a wonderful host and made us feel right at home, gave tons of great recs, and provided the absolute best breakfast in Italy(not kidding, we would stay there again just for the food). Everything was made from scratch and you can see her passion shine - truly the best croissant that I've ever had. The entire place was remodeled and they did a great job of preserving the history of the building/town, while also providing updated accommodations that enhance the stay. The location is in the heart of Sarteano so you have the ability to walk everywhere - and Sarteano is a hidden gem of a town. Sarteano and the Palazzo Pio II share a special place in our hearts and we will absolutely be visiting again. We cannot recommend this place enough! Thank you again Chiara and Guido!
