Stops on the way to the rock formations at Pinnacles were very interesting. Pinnacles rocks were beautiful. Guide was very good and knowledgeable. She dealt with a minor mechanical issue professionaly

Itinerary
Join us on tour for a day exploring some of the West Coast’s most stunning natural regions. Leave behind city life for a one-day treat to some of Western Australia’s best natural wonders.
After 1.5 hours from Perth, we stop to stretch our legs and take in the views from Guilderton Lookout, replacing the Lancelin stop due to its temporary closure. This stunning viewpoint offers panoramic views of the vast sand dunes, which are part of the largest network of sand dunes in Western Australia. The gigantic, snow-white dunes create a striking contrast against the glistening turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean in the distance. The lookout is accessed by 83 steps (15 more than Lancelin) and takes approximately 7 minutes to walk up. With toilets and a cafe available at the carpark, this stop will not affect the overall length of the tour, as the timing remains the same.
Shake the sand out of your shoes, before we travel on to the Nilgen Nature Reserve. In a region abundant with flora and fauna, we’ll wander through a kaleidoscopic of wildflowers, including the likes of banksias, bottlebrush, heath, grass trees, and kangaroo paws; all bursting with life, when in season.
If the flowers are in hiding, we’ll instead head over to Hangover Bay, where you can dip your toes in the crystal-clear waters or spot the likes of bottlenose dolphins and sea lions.
With our lungs full of fresh sea air, it’s time to journey on to the Nambung National Park to witness the remarkable Pinnacles desert at sunset. Made up of shells, the Pinnacles date back millions of years to a time when the land was beneath the sea. Best explored at dusk when the crowds evaporate and the thousands of limestone pillars rise eerily out of the desert; watch the colours change over the rocks, creating a lunar-like atmosphere.
Enjoy a Picnic dinner accompanied by a glass of local product wine (all included), while we settle in for a spectacular light show of natural wonder, beneath the sky. As the darkness sets, it’s time to marvel at the other-worldly beauty of the stars and planets, swirling high above. Listen to the ancient stories of the Aboriginal Dreamtime and gaze light-years away.
On the way home to Perth, we will stop and take in the wonders of the night sky.

Karla, the lady driver and guide, is fabulous. She is knowledgeable, enthusiastic and thoughtful. The picnic dinner exceeded my expectation. The food was nice and the arrangement was pleasant. However, the van is small and cram. Some bigger people wouldn't enjoy the long ride. Overall, a great experience under the starry starry night.
We had a great trip and so much enjoy with our lovely tour guide
Such a wonderful afternoon. Annalyse was knowledgeable, kind and a great guide. I enjoyed the journey and the many stops on the way.
Good size, well paced tour with a range of interesting sights leading up to the pinnacles desert. Annalise was a very competent and nice tour guide who really enhanced the experience.
Well organised tour, a lot if information. Enjoyed having the opportunity to see the moon and some planets. Possibly a smaller group size would have been better.
Amazing tour. Our guide Erin was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic and made sure everyone was catered for. The tour wasn't too rushed and we had plenty of time to see and do everything along the way. Would definitely recommend this!
Fantastic varied experience-guide/driver Annelies was superb -worked like a Trojan to provide details/set up picnic and stargazing/excellent driver . Highly recommended
My wife and I had an Awesome tour of the pinnacles, our tour guide Annaleas was also amazing and very well versed in the culture of each area we passed through and stopped at on the way. This made for great memeries and experiance on the way to and at The Pinnacles
The mini bus we were traveling in had a max capacity of 28 passengers, the trip i was on was fully booked, which was no problem at all, especially when our guide was such a superstar, Annalise made the trip such a professional and pleasant experience. She was informative, well spoken, polite and mindful of all of the needs of her passengers. All stops made sense, very picturesque, and we were lucky enough to get a chance to look at 3 planets and the milkyway during our stargazing. Also beautifully explained/pointed out star constellations, provided by Annalise. Thank you
This was a great tour. Erin our guide was lovely and knowledgeable. Our collection point was very convenient, thanks! The stops on the tour broke up the overall distance which was welcome. Plenty of free time at the Pinnacles to explore before a fantastic picnic dinner with wine or juice. Stargazing was great. Erin helped those of us technology challenged with our phone settings and explained about and where to find the constellations. Well worth the money.
Picked up on time by our friendly guide / driver Erin. Drive to the pinnacles is scenic with a few stops on the way. Plenty of time at each stop for a good look about an loo breaks if required. Erin gave some great info re the fauna following wild fires in the bush. The Pinicles are definitely worth a visit especially at sunset when it is very dramatic. We had loads of time to take plenty of photos and explore. We were even lucky enough to see a couple of Emus run through the Pinicles into the bush. Dinner was pleasant and plentiful with cold meats, cheese and salads. After food we enjoyed some star gazing with Erin sharing her knowledge of the stars and constellations. All round great trip. Thanks
Although there is quite a lot of time on a bus during the day, the trip was well worth it due to the variety of sites (Guilderton, Nilgen Natural Reserve, the migratory desert and the Pinnacles) we explored and learned about. The absolute highlight of the trip is the time in the Pinnacles desert. We arrived in time to explore independently until sunset, a time of magic as the shadows lengthen and draw long shapes on the sand. I came across a wallaby with a large joey pkking his nose out of her pouch while she ate the leaves from the native shrubs. She was not scred at all. Once the sun set (and it got very dak out in the desert) and other tourists exuted the park, we regrouped for the unique experience of a picnic with sparkling wine and strawberries and some stargazing in the desert, without the light pollution of a city that usually obscures the view. I saw places on this tour I would not otherwise have been easily able to access in my limited time in WA. Our guide, Annaliese, was unfailingly friendly, helpful and a font of knowledge about the flora, the environment and the constellations. We were fortunate to view Venus in its crescent phase through the large telescope Annaleise and Carolina (who guided the other bus) set up for us. It was a really special experience to have the peace of the park to ourselves while we enjoyed the picnic and gazed at the stars. I am very glad to have this experience; it was a highlight of my brief time in WA and everything ran very smoothly. Two things: I suggest going to the bathroom before going to the meeting point as there are no facilities available at The Criterion (it was closed when we met there at 1pm on a Saturday). Also, the bus was totally full, so while I recommend taking a jacket as it is very cold in the wind (which blew all day until around sunset!) and water, the bus can be cramped (it's full of people and there is no storage), so keep your day pack compact.
It was a bucket list experiences we didn't know we needed. Carolina was a great safe driver
Every nice experience with nice view , you see very cool stuff like the pinnnecals and even I nice stargazing
Would definitely recommend the sunset Pinnacles tour. Our guide Carolina was excellent. Very knowledgeable, friendly and informative.
The trip was organised well, and I have a good experience。 The tour guide was very professional。 I am happy with the tour。
Had a wonderful trip to this unique landscape. Annalise provided great commentary and gave many personal insights which made the day extra special.
We loved this. The landscapes are unique and spectacular, the star gazing was amazing as we had clear skies, and our guide Annaliese was lovely and very knowledgeable about local flora, fauna and history. A wonderful day and evening that was the perfect end to our Perth holiday.
We had a wonderful day visiting the Pinnacles. The tour was well organised and relaxing, and the scenery was absolutely beautiful. Our guide was friendly, helpful and shared lots of interesting information along the way. We really enjoyed the whole experience and would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Perth.
A fantastic day and especially evening with a picnic and watching stars. Thanks for a good trip and lot of info about the nature.
Very helpful guides. The weather wasn’t great, which didn’t help. Although the guides were clear that we needed to purchase water if we didn’t have any as they did not carry water for us, to take a tour to an Australian desert without water being on hand is just reckless. The stops along the way seemed to just be time-fillers. Take the tour directly to the Pinnacles if you want to make it value for money.
I had an amazing time on the Pinnacles Day Tour with Autopia! Our guide, Erin, was absolutely excellent—so knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful throughout the entire trip. I really enjoyed her commentary and learned so much useful information along the way. The picnic dinner under the stars and the stargazing experience were superb. Highly recommend this tour and Erin as a guide!
Long day on the bus. But very good tour. Star gazing was a highlight. Time at some of the stops seemed shorter than what was expected
This tour takes you to see dream-like scenery north of Perth embodied in fabulous beaches, fascinatingly white sand dunes and eerie pinnacles that will live in your memories forever. Stargazing takes place in absolutely pristine environment and expands our concept of the beauty of night sky. Our tour guide Annelies was very capable, very friendly and had a terrific grasp on a wide variety of topics, all relevant to the beautiful places she took us to. It was very fortunate to have her lead us for the day.
Our tour guide driver was Annalise, she was excellent made us feel very welcomed, she was a safe driver and very knowledgeable. If one of my friends or family go on the tour I would recommend to request her as a tour guide. We had a great clear sky day we seen wild kangaroo 🦘 in the Pinnacle. The stargazing was amazing, didn't want to leave, the food was good plenty of options. The tour company contacted me the day before asking about dietary restrictions, that was very considerate.
Incredible must go. Extremely well planed tour. Great spread for dinner, stethoscope for star gazing, clean bus, well planned schedule with good stops. Perfect amount of time spent at each spot and drive didn’t feel too long. Autopia guide Anna was clear and efficient and knowledgeable despite only living in Perth for 4 months thanks to research. We were a little early so she took the initiative to drive us to visit an extra beach. I had a problem booking through another platform and the operators went above and beyond to help me resolve it when the platform was terrible. Fantastic customer service
This place has very strange stones but beautiful. A must place to visit when you go to Perth, Western Australia.
Unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate so our first stop was rained out and too many clouds blocking a good view of the night sky. That said, our driver/tour guide/chef was amazing! She was friendly, helpful and knew her stuff. The Pinnacles did not disappoint. It was a good trip and I would recommend it.
Erin, our tour guide was fantastic and provided a memorable experience. The Pinnacles are truely a wonder and the night viewing was even better.
Wonderful guide. Bus was clean and comfortable. Disappointing to see all the other tour buses having their dinner set up by the pinnacles on the sand where as we were near the carpark (maybe something to improve). We were left to go wondering without a map or much instruction so 3/4 of the tour got lost and many asked the other tours guides operators at the pinnacles where to go. Not much commentary on the longer stretch or drive so the drive while peaceful was a bit underwhelming. Overall though it was a unique adventure and the pinnacles where amazing.
Tour a little disturb by the rain but Annalise managed to work past the weather to explain all possible on Pinnacles desert and find us a place for the stargazing on the road.
A great experience. Dinner was awesome. The pinnacles were mindblowing. There was heaps of time ponder around
Even though it was quite cloudy, we still witnessed an amazing sunset over the horizon, and also kangaroos in the pinnacles. We also saw quite abit of wildlife at guilderton! Our guide was really friendly and knowledgeable about the environment and constellations. She even told us stories about the constellations. The tour came with dinner which filled our tummies after a long walk around the pinnacles. We somewhat saw venus, jupiter and the moon for a minute before it got cloudy while having dinner. Overall, it was a unique experience! I recommend booking this event with the weather in mind, and if your schedule is flexible, u can always call the operator for a change of date prior to your booking date if the forecast will be cloudy.
Wow! This tour was so worth the time and money. A truly unique experience. Beautiful vistas not only at The Pinnacles but throughout the tour. And the Pinnacles were like nothing I’ve seen before and I’ve been to Bryce Canyon, Arches NP, the Grand Canyon and the Badlands in the USA. The Pinnacles dispel any myth that deserts are featureless, lifeless and/or empty. It was just beautiful, especially at sunset. And I have never seen stars like that before. Highly, HIGHLY recommend this tour. And our guide Alexia was a sweetheart!
Annaliese was an amazing and patient tour guide. She was driven and fun to listen and follow. Unfortunately the weather was the only thing bad as the clouds covered quite a bit of the stars we could’ve seen but that is out of the guide’s control. The dinner was simple but refreshing and lovely. Definitely recommend to all who wish to view more of Western Australia’s beauty.
Trip was good, great to see the Pinnacles and the desert at night. It was beautifully clear so the stars were amazing. However, the trip description did not quite match the reality of the journey. Gilderton was, according to itinerary, an hour's stop. We were there for a very rushed 30mins. Although we were shown the constellations and there was some information given about the stars, there were no dream time stories told. This was specified in the itinerary description.
Disappointing trip, quick stops along the way The tour guide had limited experience and offered little local knowledge Disappointing with the star gazing, the sky was clouded over only visualised the moon, when the sky cleared there was no opportunity to gaze
This trip is a must. The pinnacles at sunset were amazing and we were lucky to have a clear night for the stargazing. Analise (guide) and Amanda (driver) looked after us very well. Only part that was a bit disappointing was the stop at Nilgen Nature Reserve. There wasn’t much to see and it seemed a bit pointless to stop there, however that might have been down to the time of year I went (late April). The evening buffet meal was simple but tasty with a selection of meats and salads. We even had bubbles or choice of orange juice to wash it down with, as well as strawberries and chocolate biscuits for a dessert.
The star gazing experience, the different rock formation and the whole tour especially the tour guide Erin who is very knowledgeable about the constellation explaing everything that i have heard it the first time. To summarize it was an awesome tour.
Unfortunately due to the weather we didn't see any stars or the sunset. The food looked lovely but I couldn't eat any of it as people had touched it with there hands some totally ignored the tongs provided by our lovely tour guide. I think it should have been cancelled because $199.00 is a lot to see pay for something you could not see.
Good experience in a spectacular environment. The Pinnacles desert is simply amazing! The star gazing experience was the cherry on the top.
Day trip went okay considering rain spoilt the day . The gift shop is not open for the afternoon star gazing tour . Stopped at nice stop for 30 minutes and had a lovely hot chocolate. Hangover bay I think it was called .
I would recommend other travelers to visit this place.Diver was bery good and explained very thing so nicely.Picinc veg dinner was very good.
I honestly didn’t know what to expect going into the Pinnacles tour, but it completely blew me away. The whole place just feels surreal — like you’ve stepped onto another planet. Seeing all the limestone formations spread out across the desert in real life is something photos just don’t do justice. What I really liked was how easy and well organised the whole day was. I didn’t have to think about anything — just turn up and enjoy it. Erin, our driver/guide, was great. Really friendly, easy to talk to, and made the whole experience feel relaxed. She shared some interesting info along the way without overdoing it, which I appreciated. Walking through the Pinnacles was probably the highlight for me. Just being able to wander around at my own pace, take it all in, and grab some great photos was unreal. The whole experience felt relaxed but still packed a lot in, which I appreciated. It never felt rushed. Overall, I’d definitely recommend it. It’s one of those places that’s just completely different to anything else, and I’m glad I went.
It was a great experience overall, just unfortunate that we couldn’t do stargazing we were very excited about that. Shoutout to Fred he was very great in his work. Dinner under the sky was also great experience.
Absolutely amazing natural phenomenon unlike anything we'd ever seen before. Ellie our guide was excellent
It was a great guided tour, and our guide (Fred) was very knowledgeable and engaging in his explanations. The picnic buffet was plenty and varied. We had bad luck with the clouds blocking the best of the sunset and stargazing, but the guides made the best out of the situation. Would recommend for people and groups.
Great experience with a knowledgeable driver. Picnic dinner was excellent something for everyone. The night sky performed beautifully for us
Our driver/tour guide, Erin, was exceptional. While we give a 3star rating, Erin was definitely a 5stsr rating. Her driving, knowledge and commentary was second to none. Going up the coast the stops were frequent and timely and locations beautiful. Got to Pinnacles. Amazing site but the fact the bus doesn't drive closer to view for the sunset makes it very difficult to navigate back to the carpark as it gets very dark after sunset. For anyone with sight problems you could easily get lost even with a powerful torch. To get the full Pinnacles experience at sunset you need to be facing west as there is too much shadow if you are behind them. Dinner was casual and well presented. Return journey to Perth, unfortunately, and certainly not the Tours fault, was extended by over an hour due to a major highway detour. 3 straight hours on the bus was way to long sitting. Otherwise 5stars to Erin for doing an exceptional job to get everyone back safely.
