Itinerary
Get ready—our adventure begins soon! The bus is on its way, so grab your gear, feel the excitement, and let's hit the road! Experience the magic of the West Coast on our Pinnacles Day Tour, where you'll explore some of the region’s most breathtaking natural landscapes. As twilight falls, enjoy a star-filled adventure surrounded by native wildlife in the enchanting Pinnacles Desert.
Just 1.5 hours from Perth, our first stop is the seaside town of Lancelin, where you’ll stretch your legs and take in spectacular lookout views over Western Australia’s largest network of towering, snow-white sand dunes, contrasting beautifully with the turquoise Indian Ocean. Due to the temporary closure of Lancelin beaches and lookout due to landslides and erosion, our alternative stop will be Guilderton for scenic beach views.
About 1.5 hours after departing Perth, we make our first stop in the coastal town of Lancelin for a quick leg stretch and a scenic lookout. Known for having the largest network of sand dunes in Western Australia, Lancelin’s towering, snow-white dunes create a stunning contrast against the sparkling turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean beyond.
The Pinnacles Desert Discovery Centre, located at the entrance to Nambung National Park, offers fascinating insights into the Pinnacles' geology, wildlife, and Aboriginal heritage. With interactive displays and stunning views, it’s the perfect starting point for exploring this unique desert landscape.
The Pinnacles are striking limestone formations rising from the golden sands of Nambung National Park. Formed over thousands of years, these natural pillars create a surreal desert landscape, with shapes ranging from jagged spires to rounded columns. Their eerie beauty makes the Pinnacles one of Western Australia’s most iconic and photographed natural wonders.
Hangover Bay, near the Pinnacles in Nambung National Park, is a peaceful coastal spot where the Indian Ocean glows under vibrant sunset skies. It's the perfect place to unwind, with gentle waves, soft sands, and a serene end to a day of exploration over a delicious picnic dinner.
Nambung National Park, home to the famous Pinnacles Desert, showcases a stunning landscape of ancient limestone spires rising from golden sands. Located along Western Australia’s Coral Coast, the park also features coastal views, native wildlife, and vibrant wildflowers in spring.
As we roll back to your pick-up point, sit back, relax, and relive the magic of the day—full of epic sights, laughs, and unforgettable moments. What an adventure! Our return time to Perth will vary depending on the time of year, between 21:00 and 23:00pm to ensure we see the best sunsets and stars.

This was a very long excursion but well worth it. Our tour guide, Annalys, was wonderful. She is very knowledgeable and explained each destination very well. The pinnacle desert was the highlight and was very impressive
Wow what an amazing experience. We felt very blessed to be able to visit such a unique area of Australia. We had the wonderful Annalise (I apologise for the spelling) as our guide and she was phenomenal. Incredibly patient and very knowledgeable. The star gazing after the lovely dinner displayed her patience when some of the travellers challenged her knowledge (she was 100% correct of course). I really enjoyed listening to the stories she was retelling during the drives in between stops and she even added in a special little stop as we were running early. Thank you so much for making our experience so wonderful!
Very knowledgable guide. Annaliese looked after everything brilliantly. Her knowledge and research was all on show.
My daughter and I went on this tour. We both enjoyed it very much. The stops on the way and the commentary were great. We were served a fantastic dinner at dusk, pity the weather was the best but that didn't stop us from having a great time. I would go again.
A great trip. Well worth the time it takes to get there from Perth. Nice that they had a few stops on way out there. An unbelievable place. More than what I expected
This was a fantastic trip! I highly recommend! We had the lovely Erin as our tour guide and she was very friendly and communicated lots to the group to make us all feel excited and comfortable! The bus drive was made interesting with lots of facts about Australia! The evening picnic was lovely and tasty with lots of selection! The stargazing was very interesting and full of interesting space facts! Loved it!
Annalise was an excellent guide and driver. Friendly & knowledgeable. Beach stops were beautiful and tge Pinnackes amazing. Good time allowance each place. Dinner was yummy, buffet salads with bubbles or juice, strawberries & Tim Tam's to finish. Then stargazing with commentary before a smooth run back to the city. Highly recommend.
Excellent trip through Autopia travels with a very well educated tour guide Anelise. Three stops on route to the Pinnacles followed by a lovely walk round the pinnacles and excellent food. Got to see Saturn and its rings through the telescope and the moon but unfortunately it was to cloudy to the south to see Venus, milkway etc.
The tour itself was good. Pinnacles were pretty cool and the star gazing was good. The reason for the 2 stars is because of the bus. My husband and I were Struggling to fit into the seats. If you are small framed and 100 pounds, no problem. I have a bruise on my bum because I had To sit on the belt buckle. I’m not a large person. Our shoulders overlapped and there was absolutely no way to get comfy in the seats. Also, no place to put the backpack. It was really hard to enjoy the tour being uncomfortable, especially when it’s a long drive.
I had a great time and our your guide Annalise was the best. She gave good explanation and made sure we had the time of our lifes. Because of this I can't wait for my next tour.
excellent trip and good food, with great guide
Erin was a great guide! Informative but fun and entertaining at the same time! The pinnacles and star gazing parts of the visit were the most interesting.
Would like to highly commend our tour guides Annelies and Carulina for doing such an amazing job leading our group through the tours. They were highly knowledgeable, very amicable and drove us safely both ways on the long journey. They also prepared a lovely dinner for us! They were very sweet and the tour was amazing!
We had Erin as our guide and she was wonderful and very knowledgeable about the area and every place we went. The whole experience was amazing and I would definitely recommend it.
Analisa our guide was great and very knowledgeable and I would highly recommend her. We had some bad luck with the moon being bright for the star gazing but that can’t be helped.
1. As we arrived in Perth previous day I sent an email to re confirm pick up location and never received a re confirmation response. We have to contact the company 10 min before departure time. 2.Tour guide did not communicate properly as to the viewpoint of sunset , we missed it which was one of the purpose of the trip. And was very disappointed. 3.we were told dinner will be served at 6.30pm after sunset , when we arrived 6.20pm except us all others had starterd, and finishing , we did not have a plate and some food items such cheese , pastas salad all finished , being one person vegetarian there was no water provided during the tour or at the dinner all that was provided was alcohol and juice which she doesn’t drink , no water was provided being a hot day and the length of the tour , this is basic requirement as all our other tours where water was provided 4.during dinner time another group also joined and shared in the dinner which we were not aware of we wanted to be with our group and have the dinner which resulted in being too crowded 5. Picked up at 14 mill street , we expected to be dropped off same location , instead we were dropped on a cross street just before the traffic light which is unacceptable
Stargazing was the best along with Pinacles. Ðutch tour leader was very informative and friendly from the kiwi
Annalise was a fabulous tour guide. She was kind and very knowledgeable. Stargazing was a great fun, too
Annalise was our friendly tour guide, and she was fantastic! I could tell that she loves to share the beauty of Western Australia with others. The picnic dinner exceeded expectations! What a spread! It was time well spent!
Tour guide was well versed in the areas we visited, very calm and well thought out tour, bus was comfortable and had charging ports which was very handy
Seeing the Pinnacles at dusk was beautiful and the guide did a great job of showing the constellations.
Great experience seeing the pinnacles at sunset and watching the stars with a knowledgable guide and telescope. Plus a couple of beautiful spots along the way.
I was pleasantly surprised by the informative tour history lesson on the way to the Pinnacles. I learned some interesting details about Perth and the surrounding area. Erin was a pleasure to listen to and very kind. I highly recommend taking this trip.
Liked the experience and the vibe.
Girl guide knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. Star gazing is a BIG plus. Much better than Uluru trip. Will tell our friends about it. Congrats.
It was a good experience. The time was perfect to see the sunset at the Pinnacle. The dinner was more than sufficient and Annelise was helpful and informative
An amazing experience, we saw lovely beaches before reaching our destination. Food was fantastic and the star gazing outstanding. Erin is a superstar and knowledgeable guide plus fantastic driver and host. Thank you for a truly wonderful day. I would highly recommend
I thought it was a great tour. Stopped at interesting places and took the obligatory IG photos!! Dinner was good. Highly recommended!
The tour is very nice and the stars and the pinnacle were great, but I must say we liked the most our guide and host Annalise. She was just fantastic - caring, confident and hospitable, and also such an amazing driver and stargazing enthusiast! Thank you very much Annalise :)
Fantastic well organised trip. Everything ran to time and sunset at the Pinnacles was magical! We were lucky enough to have a beautiful clear night to see the stars.
Quite a long ride but the final destination was definitely authentic and worth the time. Besides the main attraction, there was also plenty of other activities such as a pre-organized buffet at the Pinnacles parking lot and stargazing. Our tour guide, Anneliese, was very nice, informative, and equally as enthusiastic as every other tourist, so the overall trip felt even more enjoyable because of that. What to consider: the ride to the desert might take a long time, so it's best to bring along 1-2 700ml bottles of water (despite refilling stations at included pit stops) and to consider the weather, so as not to be under/over-prepared in terms of clothing.
Amazing experience band our guide Alisa was awesome. The bus ride was scenic and smooth, really enjoyed the informative tapis by our guide which really brought the spots to life. Although we couldn't quite see the the stars since it was a cloudy might but we did manage to see a few kangaroos which Kore than made up for it.
A great tour and experience, the tour guide Alessia was friendly, accommodating and very knowledgeable. The stop at Guilderton was perfect and the stop at Nilgen lookout was interesting. The Pinnacles desert at night is unique experience. The food and wine was great.
We were not lucky with the cloudy day So we could not enjoy watching the stars The guide was nice but his knowledge is modest Vague comments, and some statements are not correct
This tour was absolutely amazing & we would like to thank Annaliese (sorry, not sure of spelling) for sharing her wealth of knowledge on the Perth & surrounding areas. Our day was totally made when two kangaroos hopped on by, as we were walking out of the Pinnacles Desert. The picnic dinner that Annaliese prepared was very generous & much appreciated. Also your star gazing knowledge made the night extremely enjoyable, thank you so much for everything Annaliese, you're the best!!
My guide, Eren (who wore a unique hat with badges and had her hair in braids), was professional, cheerful, and had a great voice. I was so satisfied with her guiding style and itinerary. I could be fully immersed in my own journey even though there were many people. The pickup bus was convenient, and the dinner was also great!! I highly recommend this tour with her :)
The tour was amazing and the tour guide was very informative, kind and helpful. The pinnacles as well as the star gazing are a good tick off my bucket list. Thank you for the amazing tour.
Nice new vehicle and polite guide. We stopped at a small coastal town for a rest break and were advised to buy water from the general store as it was not provided. The second stop at a burnt out wildflower meadow seemed a pit pointless as the only thing to see was charred plants and there were no toilets at this stop. When we reached the pinnacles the guide pointed towards the discovery centre and the path towards the limestone formations. She did not accompany us and instead began setting up our picnic next to the car park. I noticed other tours had driven into the reserve as I was walking around: Dinner was simple supermarket salads and deli meats. There wasn’t enough room for everyone to sit a table and some of us ended up perched on a cold concrete fence to eat dinner: The star gazing was good and the guide was able to point out the planets and constellations. It was not as dark as it could have been as we were next to the carpark with people constantly coming and going.
A wonderful experience. This was a mother's day gift from my children. The bus was neat and clean and not overcrowded. Erin was our driver and tour guide. She was knowledgeable, warm and welcoming. The stop off at Guilderton was beautiful. The Pinnacles experience was enjoyable and after Erin's informative talk there was plenty of time to enjoy the 'museum' and wander the Pinnacles at your own pace. This was followed by a delicious dinner under the stars and despite the clouds, stargazing too. I highly recommend this tour.
This tour was Great! Planning was good, tourguides were amazing and friendly! The dessert looks beautifull during sunset. Dinner was also good.
The Pinnacles desert is a magical place especially at sunset. The trip is very well organized and on time.
The guide entertained with historical information all the while driving with excellent skills. The actual Pinnacle National Park was breathtakingly beautiful with ample time to hike among the limestone pinnacles We enjoyed the picnic dinner including sparkling wine and many food choices. The stargazing was beyond expectations with a very clear sky. The travel van was somewhat uncomfortable due to limited space for legroom. Note that they did accommodate my limited mobility
We went for my 40th birthday as it was something I had wanted to do for a very long time. Everything was wonderful, we were so happy with everything we got to see and the shooting star we got to see at the very last moment was just amazing and made it something we will never forget
Drive is a bit long but well worth it. Pinnacles are a one of a kind phenomena. Tour guide was amazing, especially during the star gazing.
The journey is smooth, amazing hosting, great dinner, overall good experience. I will like take this sunset trip ,who loves sunset.
A long day but well worth it. Walking among the pinnacles at sundown is a unique experience. A very informative driver so we learnt alot about the history of the area.
We made a reservation and paid several weeks in advance, but the travel agency canceled it just one day before our arrival. We asked them to rebook us for the next day or the day after, but they were unable to arrange anything. The refund we received was also less than what we originally paid. In the end, we had to make a new booking ourselves, which cost us extra time and money. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience.
Surprised with a breathtaking experience of sunset at the pinnacles desert and stargazing. Shout out to our tour guide and driver for the unforgettable experience!
Fantastic guide - very knowledgeable about the flora, fauna and land formations. A beautiful time of day to visit the pinnacles. The colours sbd shadows were stunning as the sun set over the ocean. A shared meal was a lovely way to end the day.
